Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a central role in shaping employee behavior, including Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Demonstrating high loyalty and commitment to the organization is a trait expected by all superiors or leaders. Based on initial observations and a brief preliminary survey conducted by the researcher, many employees frequently complain, lack motivation, and show indifference toward their work environment and duties at the Directorate General of Corrections, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and social support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with organizational culture as a mediating factor. The study sample consists of 219 employees from the Directorate General of Corrections, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, collected through questionnaires and analyzed using a quantitative method with descriptive data analysis techniques utilizing SmartPLS version 3. The findings of this study indicate that competence, social support, and organizational culture significantly influence OCB. Competence and social support also have an impact on organizational culture. Furthermore, organizational culture effectively mediates the relationship between competence, social support, and OCB at the Directorate General of Corrections.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of cash holding, leverage, profitability, and company size on income smoothing practices with firm size as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results show that cash holding does not have a significant effect on income smoothing practices, because companies tend to use cash for operational needs, debt payments, and dividends, so it is not used for profit manipulation. On the contrary, profitability and leverage have a significant effect on income smoothing practices, where companies with low profitability and high leverage tend to engage in this practice to maintain their reputation and the stability of their financial statements. In addition, firm size does not moderate the effect of cash holding on income smoothing practices, indicating that larger company size does not affect management decisions in carrying out this practice. However, firm size strengthens the effect of profitability and leverage on income smoothing practices. The larger the company size, the higher the tendency of management to stabilize financial statements to maintain the company's image and the trust of stakeholders, especially creditors. These findings provide insight for investors and regulators in understanding the factors that influence income smoothing practices in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (KFC franchise holder in Indonesia) in the period 2022–2023 using financial ratio analysis, including liquidity, solvency, activity, and profitability. Data are taken from the company's financial statements published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results of the study show that the company experienced a significant decline in performance: (1) Liquidity ratios (Current Ratio and Quick Ratio) are below industry standards, indicating an inability to meet short-term obligations; (2) Solvency ratios (DER and DAR) show a high dependence on debt with DER reaching 440.24% (2023), indicating serious financial risk; (3) Activity ratios (TATO and ITO) are inefficient, reflecting suboptimal utilization of assets and inventory; (4) Profitability ratios (NPM and ROA) are negative, with ROA -10.69% (2023), indicating operational losses. The implications of this study emphasize the need for improved working capital management, debt restructuring, operational efficiency, and revenue-increasing strategies. Limitations of the study include the short analysis period and focus on one company. Suggestions for further research include the use of longer-term data and more comprehensive analysis.

Abstract

The South China Sea dispute has emerged as a highly complex issue, marked by various tensions that disrupt regional stability. The collision incident between Philippine and Chinese vessels has further heightened these tensions. This research aims to examine the legal implications of the collision between the Philippine and Chinese ships, to understand the dispute resolution mechanisms under the 1982 UNCLOS, and to assess the application of UNCLOS provisions in the collision incident between the Philippines and China in the South China Sea. The research method used is normative legal research with a case approach. The results indicate that China’s actions constitute a violation of provisions under international law. The impact of the collision incident has further exacerbated the contest over territorial claims in the South China Sea.

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly reshaped grocery shopping behaviors, transitioning from traditional markets to digital platforms. This research explores how the adoption of e-commerce, specifically the Segari application, influences consumer purchasing patterns for staple groceries within the context of the modern market era. The primary issue addressed by this study is understanding the factors prompting consumers, particularly budget-conscious migrants, to shift their shopping habits from conventional to online marketplaces. Consequently, this research aims to identify critical elements influencing consumer preferences, purchasing behaviors, and satisfaction levels when using Segari. Employing a qualitative approach, this study integrates a comprehensive literature review and empirical data collected through structured interviews with selected respondents using the Critical Incident Technique (CIT). Respondents were budget-conscious migrants who regularly use Segari. Findings indicate that key factors driving consumer preference toward Segari include ease of access, broader product availability, promotional attractiveness, and stable pricing compared to traditional markets. Furthermore, consumers reported improved shopping convenience and higher satisfaction due to consistent pricing and efficient access to essential goods. This research offers valuable insights into consumer behavior shifts caused by digital adoption, providing strategic recommendations for e-commerce platforms like Segari to enhance user engagement and optimize customer satisfaction in a competitive market environment.
