Abstract

This study examines the transformation of Nyai Rara Kidul’s meaning through two Kadita skins in Mobile Legends: Ocean Goddess (2018) and Heart of the Sea (2024). Roland Barthes’s semiotic approach is employed to analyse the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings embedded in the skin illustrations. The findings reveal that Ocean Goddess maintains a close symbolic association with Nyai Rara Kidul through its representation of Javanese femininity, dominant use of green, kemben-style costume, and the title “Queen of the Southern Seas.” In contrast, Heart of the Sea reframes Nyai Rara Kidul through the visual identity of a Balinese woman and transforms the dark and threatening marine atmosphere into one that is bright, warm, and tropical, while retaining a sense of danger. Both skins recontextualise the sacred figure of Nyai Rara Kidul as a fantasy avatar that can be controlled, played, and commercially exchanged. This transformation demonstrates how Mobile Legends mediates Nyai Rara Kidul’s identity through Kadita, presenting it not as fixed or singular but as continuously evolving.

Abstract

Inter-building data communication over public networks is highly susceptible to sniffing attacks, particularly when unencrypted protocols such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP) are used, allowing sensitive information to be intercepted by unauthorized parties. This study analyzes the effectiveness of an IPSec-based Site-to-Site Virtual Private Network (VPN) in securing inter-building communication at Universitas Bina Darma against sniffing attacks. An experimental method compared network conditions before and after VPN implementation on a topology of three MikroTik routers, three switches, and three client devices. Evaluation included connectivity testing, FTP login and file transfer simulations, and packet analysis using Wireshark with port mirroring. Results show the IPSec tunnel was successfully established using AES-256-CBC encryption and SHA-256 authentication, with all connectivity tests achieving 0% packet loss, indicating no impact on network performance. Before deployment, all FTP packets, including credentials and file contents, were captured and read in plaintext. After activation, FTP packets were no longer detected, and all traffic was encapsulated into 37 ESP packets in ciphertext form, unreadable to attackers. These results demonstrate that IPSec-based Site-to-Site VPN effectively enhances confidentiality without compromising network connectivity, providing a practical contribution to educational institutions and complementing previous research.

Abstract

Twentyone is a creative service business in Sumedang that provides photography, videography, graphic design, and printing services. Its operational process still faces delayed responses to clients, overlapping booking schedules, and unintegrated order records. This study aims to design and develop a website for Twentyone creative services using the Prototype method. System development was carried out through problem identification, data collection, requirements analysis, prototype design, evaluation, iterative improvement, and implementation. The resulting system provides service information, portfolios, packages and prices, booking, payment, order-status checking, booking management, vouchers, operational expenses, transactions, fixed expenses, and reports according to the access rights of customers, Admin, and Owner. The system was developed as a web-based application using WordPress with supporting plugins and custom coding to accommodate Twentyone’s business processes. System testing used Black Box Testing by providing input data to the tested functions and comparing the actual results with the expected results. The findings indicate that the website can support booking, payment, data management, transaction processing, and report presentation in a more structured manner. The implementation is expected to improve service accessibility for customers and support the operational management of Twentyone.

Abstract

Fuel consumption efficiency is an important aspect of modern automotive technology because it is closely related to operational costs, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability. In electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines, fuel consumption is influenced by combustion parameters such as the Air Fuel Ratio (AFR), ignition timing, and the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This study aimed to analyze the effects of AFR variation and ignition timing using standard and aftermarket ECUs on the fuel consumption of a gasoline motorcycle 125 LED motorcycle. An experimental method with a factorial design was employed using two ECU types, three AFR settings (12.5, 13.5, and 14.7), and three ignition timing settings (standard, +2°, and +4°). Fuel consumption tests were conducted at engine speeds of 3000 rpm, 5000 rpm, and 7000 rpm. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics followed by Three-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results indicate that AFR, ignition timing, and ECU type produce different fuel consumption characteristics at each engine speed. The combination of an aftermarket ECU with appropriate AFR and ignition timing settings provides better fuel consumption efficiency than the standard ECU.
