Abstract

Gastronomic tourism is a rapidly growing form of tourism because it integrates culinary experiences with the local cultural values of a destination. This study aims to analyze efforts to preserve vegan bacang as a signature dish of the Ranca Indah Thematic Tourism Village in Serpong, South Tangerang City, and to examine its role in supporting the development of community-based gastronomic tourism. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, involving tourism village managers, Pokdarwis (Community-Based Tourism Group) officials, culinary business operators, and community members involved in gastronomic tourism activities. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that culinary management in the Ranca Indah Thematic Tourism Village is carried out in a participatory manner by involving the community in the production, innovation, and promotion of local cuisine.  Vegan bacang is a culinary innovation that preserves traditional processing techniques while using plant-based ingredients as an adaptation to changing consumer preferences, which are increasingly focused on health and sustainability. Beyond serving as a food product, vegan bacang functions as a vehicle for cultural preservation, a symbol of local culinary identity, a tool for gastronomic tourism education, and a source of income for the community. Nevertheless, its development still faces challenges, including limited human resources and suboptimal digital promotion. Therefore, collaboration among the community, government, academia, and industry stakeholders is essential to strengthen the management, marketing, and sustainability of community-based gastronomic tourism.

Abstract

Kampung Tematik Ranca Indah di Serpong, Tangerang Selatan adalah lokasi wisata berbasis komunitas yang selalu mengembangkan fasilitas untuk menarik lebih banyak pengunjung dan meningkatkan kualitas destinasi. Amenitas memainkan peran vital dalam menghadirkan kenyamanan, keamanan, kebersihan, serta pengalaman wisata yang baik bagi para pengunjung. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keadaan amenitas dan menilai peran amenitas dalam meningkatkan daya tarik pengunjung di Kampung Tematik Ranca Indah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data seperti observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pengelola kampung wisata dan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) yang dipilih secara sengaja. Analisis data dilaksanakan dengan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sementara keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa amenitas yang ada mencakup toilet umum, mushola, tempat sampah terintegrasi, fasilitas kesehatan dasar, tempat pengisian air minum, area memancing, serta fasilitas edukasi berupa sudut baca. Adanya amenitas itu dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan, keamanan, kebersihan, dan kualitas pengalaman wisatawan saat berkunjung. Selain itu, penggabungan fasilitas dengan atraksi lokal seperti Rumah Tua 1932 dan Sumur Tujuh juga memperkuat identitas destinasi wisata yang berbasis masyarakat. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat lokal dalam pengembangan amenitas memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap daya tarik pengunjung dan keberlanjutan tujuan wisata perkotaan berbasis komunitas.

Abstract

Tlocor Marine Tourism in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, offers significant potential through its coastal scenery, mangrove ecotourism, boat trips to Lusi Island, and the local fishing community. Despite these attractions, the site remains underrecognized due to limited and inconsistent promotional efforts. This study analyzes the challenges and barriers in implementing the promotional mix at Tlocor Marine Tourism. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, collecting data through in-depth semi-structured interviews with managers, community members, and government officials, supplemented by field observations and documentation. Findings reveal that while the five elements of the promotional mix advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, public relations, and direct marketing are applied, they are neither integrated nor consistent. Digital advertising, particularly via social media, is sporadic and reaches a limited audience; sales promotions are restricted to discounts; personal selling lacks standard procedures and systematic training; public relations efforts are reactive; and direct marketing has ceased due to past misuse of visitor databases. Key barriers include post-pandemic human resource shortages, budget constraints, psychological trauma from prior database misuse, and bureaucratic obstacles regarding land ownership and legal permits. These factors hinder the establishment of a structured and sustainable promotional strategy. The study concludes that leveraging Tlocor Marine Tourism’s potential requires strategic planning, enhanced training, consistent digital engagement, and administrative support to overcome operational, financial, and regulatory challenges. Addressing these barriers will help attract a broader audience, improve visitor experience, and support sustainable tourism development. This study provides practical insights for local tourism managers and policymakers to enhance promotional strategies and optimize tourism development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran atraksi pemancingan dalam meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan di Kampung Wisata Tematik Ranca Indah, Serpong, Tangerang Selatan. Pengembangan atraksi wisata menjadi salah satu strategi penting dalam meningkatkan daya tarik destinasi berbasis masyarakat sekaligus menciptakan peluang ekonomi bagi masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk mengkaji potensi dan peran atraksi pemancingan dalam mendukung pengembangan kampung wisata. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan pengelola kampung wisata, masyarakat setempat, dan pengunjung, serta dokumentasi kegiatan wisata di lokasi penelitian. Penelitian juga dilakukan melalui kegiatan pendampingan kampung wisata sehingga peneliti terlibat langsung dalam proses pengembangan atraksi wisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atraksi pemancingan berpotensi meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan karena menawarkan aktivitas rekreasi yang santai dan ramah keluarga. Selain itu, atraksi pemancingan membuka peluang ekonomi bagi masyarakat lokal melalui usaha kuliner, penyewaan alat pancing, dan layanan wisata lainnya. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan yang baik, fasilitas yang memadai, serta keterlibatan aktif masyarakat diperlukan untuk mendukung pengembangan atraksi pemancingan secara berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan daya tarik Kampung Wisata Tematik Ranca Indah
