Abstract

One of the hot and endless discussions is regarding Nickel Downstreaming in Indonesia. one of the parts assesses that the policy of stopping nickel ore exports has an effect on improving the Indonesian economy. Indonesia is one of the ten countries with the largest nickel reserves in the world. Nearly 4 million metric tons of the world's 80 million metric tons of nickel reserves are stored in Indonesia. With 5.74% of the world's total nickel reserves, Indonesia is ranked 6th in the world's largest nickel producer and Indonesia's nickel production increases every year. Indonesia to issue policy Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 11 of 2019 concerning nickel downstreaming. Nickel downstreaming is an act of protectionism or limiting nickel exports in world trade. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reasons why Indonesia has taken protectionist measures against its nickel. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The Research use research data in the form of secondary data obtained from a number of credible sources such as scientific articles, books, and a number of other sources that are credible and commonly used in research. Abstract

The condenser in the operation of PLTGU serves to condense the residual steam of the low pressure turbine. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of changes in vacuum pressure on condenser performance and determine the effect of overhaul on condenser performance. The variation in vacuum pressure on the condenser will be seen the effect of vacuum pressure on condenser performance. The results obtained the effectiveness score after overhaul was better than before overhaul by an average of 42.032% to 47.022%. The highest effectiveness at vacuum pressure of 679.5 mmHg was 46.103% before overhaul and 49.66% after overhaul. Meanwhile, the lowest effectiveness at vacuum pressure of 669.5 mmHg with effectiveness values before overhaul 39.45% and 45.94% after overhaul. The effectiveness of the condenser increases by an average of 4.99% after the overhaul. The level of vacuum in the condenser affects the effectiveness value of the condenser, the higher the value of vacuum pressure will increase the value of the heat transfer rate so that the effectiveness will increase. Factors that affect condenser performance are the level of tube cleanliness, the number of pluggings, vacuum pressure, and the operation of condenser supporting components.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the application of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) Method in designing and building a mobile-based Academic Information System. This is a crucial component in data management and administration in today's educational institutions. With advances in mobile technology, platform integration becomes important to increase the responsiveness of Academic Information Systems. Through the SDLC method, this research will identify systematic steps in mobile-based development, starting from analyzing user needs to implementation and evaluation. Requirements analysis will focus on a deep understanding of user needs and the expected functionality of the System. Initial prototype development will be carried out iteratively to ensure system responsiveness across various mobile platforms. Implementation of the system will involve careful end-user testing to ensure acceptance and effective use. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide guidance for educational institutions that wish to use mobile-based academic systems to increase administrative efficiency and improve the quality of academic services for staff and students.

Abstract

Climate change is a global problem and has become an urgent issue in this modern era. In recent decades, we have witnessed the serious impacts of climate change, such as rising global temperatures, increasing intensity of extreme weather, and decreasing environmental quality. All of this poses a big challenge for the sustainability of our environment. The challenges faced by the environment due to climate change are very complex and require serious attention. To effectively adapt and manage these diverse difficulties, Indonesia and the rest of the world must take proactive, preemptive measures. Climate change poses a significant problem that necessitates taking concrete steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to current and future effects. By taking small steps to lower greenhouse gas emissions, such as limiting the use of motorized vehicles, beginning to use public transportation, conserving water and electricity, cutting back on the use of plastic waste, and planting trees in the surrounding area, the community can contribute to mitigation. This study conducted an exploratory evaluation of the literature using a qualitative descriptive approach. This research discusses adaptation in the context of climate change, preventive and responsive adaptation, mitigation in the context of climate change, and general mitigation policies such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing renewable energy.
