Abstract

The right to work, the right to fair wages, the right to associate and assemble, the right to security and health protection, the right to legal proceedings, the right to equal treatment, the right to personal secrets, and the right to freedom of conscience are just a few of the rights of workers that generally need to be upheld. Among the rights of entrepreneurs are the following: creating work rules and agreements; terminating employees; closing the business; forming and joining a corporate organization; and assigning a portion of the work to another business. In the area of employment, legal enforcement, guidance, and supervision can all be used to achieve the protection of workers' rights. According to justice, laborers have an equal and free status. In actuality, though, employers' and employees' positions are frequently uneven. There are still a number of troubling barriers present, such as: regulatory issues; cultural issues affecting employees, employers/entrepreneurs, and law enforcement; The employer and the employee are not equal in practice, despite their equality in theory; this includes the employer's ability to uphold workers' rights. This study does an exploratory review of the literature using a qualitative descriptive methodology. This research discusses labor protection theory, workers' rights and obligations, labor protection policies, shortcomings and obstacles in policy implementation.

Abstract

The development of financial technology (Fintech) has brought about important changes in the traditional banking system. Fintech is introducing innovative solutions that make financial services more efficient, faster and accessible to the masses. Technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics enable financial services that are more personalised and responsive to user needs. However, these advancements also challenge conventional banks to adapt quickly, develop digital services, and invest in technological innovation. Increased competition and the need to update regulations and data security are the main challenges that traditional banks must face in this digital era.

Abstract

The Balinese ethnic community has undergone transmigration due to the eruption of Mount Agung. Transmigration was carried out to Lampung Province, specifically in Central Lampung. This study aims to understand "How is intercultural communication among the Balinese ethnic group in a multicultural society?" Given this phenomenon, the author employs a qualitative research method using the symbolic interactionism model to observe behaviors and interactions of individuals, discerned through symbols and their meanings. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research findings reveal an interconnected adaptation between the Balinese ethnic migrants and the indigenous Lampung ethnic group. Due to mutual respect and appreciation between the ethnic groups, both migrants and natives are able to practice their respective cultures. The Javanese ethnic community is still respected for their use of the Javanese language in this village. Therefore, the relationship between these two ethnic groups can proceed smoothly without significant obstacles as each group has accepted the other as they are.

Abstract

The implementation of the Smart City concept in Indonesia is growing, focusing on the use of information and communication technology to improve the efficiency of public services and the quality of life of urban communities. Positive trends can be seen from the various projects that have been launched in major cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung, as well as government support and private sector involvement. However, Smart City development in Indonesia still faces a number of challenges such as the digital divide, uneven infrastructure, and regulations that are not yet fully supportive. Nevertheless, the opportunity to scale up Smart City implementation remains great, especially with multi-stakeholder collaboration and increased public awareness. By overcoming these challenges, Indonesia has the potential to successfully transform its cities into more efficient, safe and sustainable Smart Cities.

Abstract

In the context that has captured enough public attention is the discourse about presidential candidates both discoursed by political parties (elites / political party structures), potential candidates, and by various pollsters who have thrown so many survey results to the public. The research model is qualitative, where there will be a lot of data raised and various statements and theories. Research is used to examine the natural condition of objek (Sugiyono. 2009). The results of the study found a pattern of electability tendencies owned by the characters. In the sense of the two periodizations, there are differences in electability and ratings obtained by potential presidential candidates. For ranks 1 and 2, it was concluded that the figures who were strong enough electability were Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo. In the middle rank, namely 3, 4, 5 and 6 shows a stagnation where the compilation of survey results both for the January-February period and the March April period places relatively similar figures, namely Anies Baswedan (per. 3), Sandi Uno (per. 4), Ridwan Kamil (per. 5) and Agus H. Yudoyono (per. 6). The name and rank of each figure still do not change when the results of surveys conducted by pollsters are compiled.

Abstract

This article reviews the literature on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies, and the accompanying regulatory efforts in the digital era. AI and automation have progressed rapidly, bringing benefits such as higher operational efficiency, cost reduction, and innovation in various sectors. However, these developments also bring significant challenges including privacy issues, algorithm bias, and labour impacts. Regulation plays a key role in guiding these technological developments, with the aim of protecting personal data, increasing transparency and accountability, and preventing discrimination. This article highlights the importance of creating responsive and proactive policies so that the benefits of AI and automation can be optimised, while the risks are minimised.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in reducing social inequality and improving social stratification in society. The method used in this research is library research by collecting and analyzing relevant literature, including books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant research reports on the relationship between Islamic education and social stratification. This approach allows the author to explore theories and previous findings without being tied to limited primary data. The findings show that Islamic education has great potential to reduce social inequality through teaching universal values such as justice (adl), brotherhood (ukhuwah) and virtue (ihsan). Islamic education also plays a role in providing access to disadvantaged groups and strengthening social awareness that can drive structural change in society. This research implies that Islamic education can be an important pillar in creating a more inclusive and just society. Zakat, infaq, and sadaqah programs integrated in Islamic education have the potential to help marginalized groups, while practical skills-based curricula can open up opportunities for social mobility for individuals from low economic groups. The results of this study recommend the need for collaborative efforts between the government, private sector and communities to overcome challenges in implementing Islamic education, such as limited infrastructure and social stigma. A more integrated strategy for strengthening Islamic education is needed to accelerate the desired social change and create a society free from social inequality.

Abstract

The study aims to understand the challenges and opportunities of implementing e-Government in an effort to improve transparency and accountability of government. Digital technology has changed the way government works, and e-Government can play a key role in driving a more democratic and transparent government. However, the implementation of e-Government also faces challenges. Using a literature research approach, the study identifies and analyzes opportunities and challenges in e-Government implementation. Research results indicate that e-government has significant benefits in increasing transparency and accountability through better provision of information to the public, more inclusive decision-making processes, and more efficient public services. However, it was also found that problems such as inadequate infrastructure capacity, cybersecurity issues, as well as cultural and social barriers could undermine the effectiveness of e-Government. Overall, studies show that despite the challenges, the opportunities offered by e-Government in improving governance are substantive, noting that the issues identified need to be addressed with appropriate policies and multi-stakeholder involvement. Further research is suggested to explore the latest applications of technology in e-Government, such as AI and blockchain, and to evaluate these implementations in a broader context, looking at their social, economic, and political implications in depth.
