Abstract

Background. Arabic is a subject that presents unique challenges for students, including at SMP IT Dzatul Akmam Kandis, because apart from learning vocabulary and grammar, students also need to understand the cultural and historical context. To improve Arabic language learning outcomes for grade 9 students, the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model emerged as an interesting alternative. Purpose. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in improving the Arabic language learning outcomes of 9th-grade students at SMP IT Dzatul Akmam Kandis. Method. This research uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest experimental design on 24 grade 9 students at SMP IT Dzatul Akmam Kandis, selected through Cluster Random Sampling. The data collection instrument in the form of an essay test showed that 20 of the 25 questions were valid, with high reliability (Cronbach's Alpha 0.918). The data obtained were normally distributed and met the assumption of homogeneity of variance. Results. The research results showed that the Paired-Samples T Test results showed a significant difference between the pretest (71.17) and posttest (86.17) scores with an increase of 15.00 points after implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. This research proves the effectiveness of the CTL model in improving Arabic language learning outcomes for grade 9 students at SMP IT Dzatul Akmam Kandis. A contextual approach is proven to create more meaningful and relevant learning experiences. The implication is that the integration of real-life contexts in Arabic language teaching is very important to improve students' understanding and skills. Further research is recommended to examine the long-term effectiveness of the CTL model at various levels of education. Conclusion. This research shows that the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model is effective in improving the Arabic language learning outcomes of grade 9 students at SMP IT Dzatul Akmam Kandis. The average student score increased from 71 to 86 after implementing the CTL model. The results of the Paired-Samples T Test show significant differences, proving that the contextual approach is able to improve students' understanding and ability to speak Arabic.

Abstract

Background. Indonesian migrant workers in the informal sector in Saudi Arabia face serious challenges related to protecting their rights and obligations. Lack of understanding and implementation of safeguards can pose risks to their working and living conditions. Purpose. This research aims to explore the construction of meaning regarding the protection of the rights and obligations of Indonesian migrant workers in Saudi Arabia. The formulation of the problem is: How do Indonesian migrant workers in the informal sector in Saudi Arabia obtain protection of their rights and obligations from the government? What are the main challenges faced by migrant workers regarding the protection of their rights and obligations? Method. This research uses a retrospective study approach with the Interpretative Phenomenology method. Through phenomenological interviews with five people directly involved in Saudi Arabia's informal sector, data was collected to identify the understanding and implementation of protecting the rights of Indonesian migrant workers. This research is based on governance theory which provides a theoretical framework for understanding how the Indonesian government protects the rights of migrant workers abroad and interacts with international institutions. Results. The results of this research indicate the need to increase awareness, understanding and implementation of effective protection for Indonesian migrant workers in Saudi Arabia's informal sector. Cooperation between the Indonesian government and relevant parties in Saudi Arabia needs to be improved to ensure better protection for the rights and obligations of migrant workers. Conclusion. The output of this research is that every Indonesian migrant worker (PMI) is expected to have an electronic Indonesian migrant worker (E-PMI) to protect the rights and obligations of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) and ensure their identity is officially recorded. By having E-PMI, migrant workers will have better protection and will be safer when working abroad.

Abstract

Background. Stunting is a condition caused by malnutrition which is related to chronic nutritional insufficiency. Stunting can occur while the fetus is still in the womb and will become visible when the child is 2 years old. Therefore, stunting can cause death in babies and children, as well as causing sufferers to get sick easily and have below average cognitive abilities. Purpose. This research aims to analyze the role of collaborative governance in handling stunting in Gintungkerta Village, Karawang Regency. Method. This research is included in the type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Qualitative research methods. The data sources that will be used in this research consist of primary data and secondary data. The data will later be obtained through data collection techniques from related sources and parties based on research conducted regarding Collaborative Governance in Handling Stunting in Gintungkerta Village. The data collection techniques used in the research were carried out using various sources, both from primary sources and secondary sources, which were carried out using techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation.  Results. The results of this research show that the facilitative leadership by the DPPKB is not optimal, especially in terms of budget and facilitation. The institutional design is good with the involvement of the government, private and community sectors. The collaboration process includes face-to-face dialogue, building trust, commitment and mutual understanding, with positive interim results in reducing stunting in Gintungkerta Village. Conclusion. The high stunting rate in Gintungkerta Village encourages collaboration between the government, community and private sector through the DASHAT program, even though DPPKB support is not yet optimal in terms of budget and resources. Overall, the collaboration went well thanks to adequate initial conditions, strong institutional design, and shared commitment and understanding among stakeholders.

Abstract

Background. Blockchain technology has gained widespread attention recently due to its potential to improve transparency, security, and efficiency in various sectors. In the media industry, content authenticity and copyright protection issues are often significant challenges. Blockchain technology offers potential solutions to ensure the authenticity of content and protect copyrights through a decentralized and immutable system. Purpose. This study aims to explore the implementation of blockchain technology in media management systems to ensure content authenticity and copyright protection. This research focuses on how blockchain can create a transparent and secure record of every transaction and change related to media content. Method. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data was collected through in-depth interviews with blockchain technology experts, media professionals, and copyright lawyers. Analysis of documents and literature was also carried out to support the findings. Thematic analysis techniques identify key themes and patterns in the collected data.  Results. The results show that implementing blockchain technology in media management systems can significantly improve content authenticity and copyright protection. Blockchain allows the creation of transparent records of ownership and changes in content, which are difficult to forge. This helps trace the content’s origin and ensures that copyrights are respected and protected. Conclusion. The research concludes that blockchain technology has great potential to address content authenticity and copyright protection challenges in the media industry. Blockchain implementation can create a more transparent and secure media management system, increasing trust between content creators, distributors, and consumers. The research recommends further development and trial of blockchain implementation in various media contexts to explore the full potential of this technology.

Abstract

Background. Education is the main pillar in the development of a country, where the quality of education plays a crucial role in forming the next generation of high quality and competitiveness. Student learning motivation in Junior High School is a very important factor in achieving this goal. Purpose. This research aims to investigate the influence of the school environment on students” learning motivation at State Junior High School 1 Alasa Talumuzoi. Method. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through questionnaires, interviews and direct observation of 20 students in class VIII-A.  Results. The results of the questionnaire data analysis show that the influence of the school environment on student learning motivation is in the medium category, with a score percentage of 49.55%. A clean, beautiful, safe and comfortable school environment makes a positive contribution in increasing students” learning motivation by creating an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. Positive interactions between students, teachers and school staff also play an important role in creating a pleasant learning climate. Conclusion. This research provides a deeper understanding of how the school environment at State Junior High School 1 Alasa Talumuzoi plays a role in shaping student learning motivation. The implication of this research is that efforts are needed to optimize the school environment in order to improve the quality of learning and overall student academic achievement.

Abstract

Background. This research study was conducted to identify, review and evaluate change management carried out in higher education institutions in Indonesia, with a focus on the positive impact from the perspective of academics, students and the general public. Purpose. The main aim of this research is to identify, review and evaluate change management carried out in higher education institutions in Indonesia. Method. The methodology in this research uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on journals indexed by Google Scholar over the last 10 years. Results. The research results show that changes, such as curriculum restructuring, technology integration, and adaptation to global challenges, have had a positive or positive impact on academics, students and society in general. More than student readiness to face global challenges, strengthening relationships with industry, and improving the quality of academic services are concrete results from implementing change management. Therefore, the implementation of effective change management strategies, responsive curriculum development, close collaboration between universities, industry and society, as well as adaptation to developments in educational technology are expected to increase the positive contribution of universities to education, students and society. Conclusion. Research shows that changes in Indonesian higher education have a significant positive impact, especially in improving academic quality. Implementation of change management, such as the Lewin and Robbins model, brings measurable results in the educational structure. Changes in learning methods, curricula, and technology integration increase the relevance of graduates in the job market.

Abstract

Background. The rapid evolution of AI and the associated technological developments have opened up society to new opportunities and challenges that were hitherto unexplored in many fields. The impact of AI extends to technological progress and influences industry practices, socio-cultural norms, and global economic landscapes. Purpose. The paper reviews how contemporary challenges and future opportunities for AI interlink with the more extensive process of technological evolution. The paper tries to illuminate how AI technologies can be powerful and influential in the face of transforming industries, societal norms, and the technical landscape, as well as highlighting the risks and challenges that these developments could give rise to. Method. This will be based on an in-depth review of all peer-reviewed journals, case studies, and industry reports relating to AI between 2019 and 2024. Some key trends identified from the analysis in AI implementation across major sectors, including healthcare, finance, and education, have been recognized. The review is done considering the ethical, regulatory, and technical issues surrounding AI as it seeks to integrate into society Results: AI has become one of the most powerful shapers of several sectors in terms of pushing both innovation and efficiency. At the same time, it also brings substantial challenges regarding data privacy, algorithmic bias, and robust regulatory frameworks with itself. The results therefore bring out this dual nature of AI as a driver of progress and a source of intricate ethical and technical dilemmas. Conclusion. Thus, the outcome of the study is that even though AI holds immense potential for positive societal impact, its integration has to be managed by strong strategies reducing risks and maximize benefits. Interdisciplinary collaboration and adaptive policies will indeed be necessary for negotiating the fast-changing landscape of artificial intelligence and for its responsible, beneficial use in the future.

Abstract

Background. Blockchain technology offers tremendous promise for achieving higher levels of security, transparency, and efficiency in e?government service delivery. Governments around the world are actively pursuing the possibilities at stake, and understanding the opportunities and challenges becomes imperative for adoption. Purpose. This research will focus on how blockchain technology is incorporated into e-government services to increase security, economic benefits through integration with AI, improved activities on database performance by machine learning, ethical perspectives, and implications on future research. Method. A literature review was carried out mainly on databases including IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Scopus, Science Direct, Springer, and Google Scholar for papers dating from 2018 to 2024. Results. Key findings and insights were, therefore, extracted to give a full view of the envisaged blockchain role in government. Blockchain technology provides integrity, transparency, and decentralized governance to improve the security of e-government. Realization of economic impacts shall be seen through operational efficiency and cost savings, again through artificial intelligence in this integration. Conclusion. Machine learning algorithms bring optimality to database performance, enhancing scalability and responsiveness in large-scale applications of e-government. Essentially, ethics consider aspects of privacy, security, and public trust, which naturally would call for very strong regulatory frameworks and privacy-preserving mechanisms. Such integration of blockchain into e-government hence opens up a window of opportunity to change the operation, service delivery, and citizen engagement in the public sector. Such a study invites the implementation of R&D in recreating new adaptable regulatory frameworks, capacity building, and proactive public awareness campaigns. It also points out future research needs in the area of scalability solutions, interoperability, construction of privacy-preserving mechanisms, impact assessment, and successful governance models.

Abstract

Background. The current landscape of educational administration faces numerous challenges, including inefficiencies in governance, lack of transparency, and fragmented data management. These issues often result in delays in decision-making processes and decreased trust among stakeholders. With the increasing digitization of educational systems, decentralized technologies such as blockchain have emerged as potential solutions to improve transparency and streamline administrative functions. Purpose. This study aims to explore the implementation of a blockchain-based model for decentralized educational administration, focusing on enhancing transparency, data integrity, and governance efficiency. Method. The research employed a qualitative method through case studies of educational institutions integrating blockchain systems into their administrative processes. Data were collected via interviews with administrators, educators, and IT specialists, alongside document analysis of blockchain implementation frameworks. Results. The findings indicate that the blockchain model significantly improves transparency by providing an immutable ledger for record-keeping, enhancing accountability in decision-making processes, and allowing real-time access to administrative data. Additionally, the decentralized nature of blockchain reduces reliance on intermediaries, thereby increasing operational efficiency. Conclusion. In conclusion, the implementation of blockchain technology in educational administration presents a viable solution for transparent governance. However, challenges such as technical expertise, initial setup costs, and resistance to technological change need to be addressed for widespread adoption.

Abstract

Background. Religious science education often faces challenges in conveying complex theological concepts to students in a way that is engaging and easily understood. Traditional teaching methods may struggle to capture abstract or difficult ideas, resulting in a disconnect between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. Recent advancements in technology, particularly virtual reality (VR), offer innovative solutions to enhance learning experiences in this field. Virtual reality has the potential to immerse students in interactive, three-dimensional environments, allowing them to explore theological ideas more deeply. Purpose. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of incorporating virtual reality into religious science education to teach complex theological concepts. Method. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative interviews with students and educators, along with a quantitative assessment of student performance before and after VR integration. The study was conducted at three religious institutions where VR modules were introduced in the curriculum to teach topics such as creation, eschatology, and religious symbolism. Results. Results indicate that students demonstrated a significant improvement in understanding and retaining complex theological concepts when virtual reality was incorporated into the learning process. The immersive nature of VR allowed students to engage with the material more deeply, leading to greater comprehension and participation. Additionally, educators reported that VR enhanced the overall classroom experience by making abstract concepts more accessible.. Conclusion. In conclusion, virtual reality presents a promising tool for religious science education, providing an innovative approach to teaching complex theological ideas. Future research should explore long-term impacts and scalability of VR in religious education.
