Abstract

Immunization is the process of administering vaccines aimed at providing protection or immunity against specific diseases. Immunization stimulates the body's immune system to recognize and fight disease infections more effectively, reducing the risk of individuals who have been vaccinated contracting the disease. Understanding the administration of immunization is crucial, especially in the current context where infections and diseases are highly dangerous and easily transmissible, such as tuberculosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, hepatitis, and others. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the mother's educational level and the completeness of basic immunization in the working area of Sungai Tabuk 1 Community Health Center, Pemakuan Village, in the year 2023. The research design used is cross-sectional and was conducted in October 2023. The population consists of mothers with children aged ≥11, with a sample size of 112 respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires and Maternal and Child Health Books (Buku KIA). The majority of mothers had a low level of education, amounting to 60 people with a percentage of 53.6%. Most respondents had complete basic immunization, totaling 77 respondents with a percentage of 68.8%. The Chi-Square Test analysis results show p = 0.000 < α (0.05), thus it is concluded that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted, indicating a relationship between the mother's educational level and the completeness of basic immunization in the working area of Sungai Tabuk 1 Community Health Center, Pemakuan Village..

Abstract

Sectio Caesarea (SC) is a delivery method in which the baby is born through an incision in the abdominal wall and the opened or incised uterus, while keeping the uterus intact. In recent years, normal childbirth has been considered risky and challenging, leading to the emergence of cesarean section as an alternative option for some women undergoing labor and delivery. High-risk childbirth can have adverse effects on both the baby and the mother. The repeated pregnancies can weaken the uterus, causing complications in both pregnancy and delivery. Therefore, appropriate measures are necessary to save both the baby and the mother. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between parity and maternal age with the incidence of cesarean section at Ulin Regional General Hospital in Banjarmasin. The research method used is a descriptive correlational approach, conducted in October 2023. The population in this study includes all patients who delivered through the CS method at Ulin Regional General Hospital in Banjarmasin, with the sample taken from the entire population that meets the criteria or saturation sample criteria. The data used are secondary data that already exist. Based on the results of the Chi-Square statistical analysis, the p-value is 0.000 < α (0.05), thus it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted, indicating a relationship between parity and maternal age with the incidence of cesarean section at Ulin Regional General Hospital in Banjarmasin.

Abstract

The scope of implementation of lactation management starts from the pregnancy period, after delivery, and the baby's breastfeeding period. Lactation is the entire breastfeeding process starting from the production of breast milk to the process of the baby sucking and swallowing the breast milk. Babies who are exclusively breastfed have good perinatal growth and reduce obesity. Breastfeeding a baby on demand can increase levels of the hormone oxytocin in a mother's body postpartum and avoid the risk of swelling or dams/blockages in the nipple ducts during the lactation period (Sutanto, 2018). This research aims to analyze the relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge about breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Hospital Tengku Mansyur tanjung balai city Regency in 2023. This research is correlational with a cross sectional approach and bivariate data analysis is data analysis used in research to determine the relationship or influence of variables independent (independent) with a dependent (dependent) variable using Chi Square analysis with a significant p-value (0.05) (Hardani, 2020) Based on the research results. Based on the results of statistical tests using Chi-Square, it was obtained with a p value of 0.001 that there was a relationship between the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Hospital Tengku Mansyur tanjung balai city Regency in 2023.This means that there is a relationship between the knowledge of postpartum mothers about breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Hospital Tengku Mansyur tanjung balai city Regency in 2023

Abstract

Malnutrition during pregnancy will affect the growth, formation and development of organs as well as the function of the fetus's organs becoming less than optimal, it is feared that congenital defects will occur in the baby being born, it could even result in the baby's head being small due to a lack of fetal nutritional intake for brain development so that brain development is not optimal. Apart from that, infant deaths due to LBW, namely less than 2.5 kg and premature babies, are also due to poor nutritional status of the mother (Nurul Pujiastuti, 2015). This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with nutritional status during the first trimester of pregnancy in PMB M Ginting, Siantar Martoba District, Simalungun Regency in 2023. This research is correlational with a cross sectional approach and bivariate data analysis is the data analysis used in the research to find out the relationship or influence of the independent (independent) variable with the dependent (dependent) variable using Chi Square analysis, significant p-value (0.05) (Hardani, 2020) Based on research results Based on the results of statistical tests using Chi-Square, obtained by There There is a relationship between knowledge (p=0.002) of pregnant women and nutritional status during the first trimester of pregnancy and there is a relationship between attitudes (p=0.000) of pregnant women with nutritional status during the first trimester of pregnancy. This means that there is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and nutritional status during the first trimester of pregnancy in PMB M Ginting, Siantar Martoba District, Simalungun Regency in 2023.

Abstract

Contraception is all kinds of tools or methods used by one party or both parties to avoid or prevent pregnancy (Sety, 2014). Contraceptive methods have developed with all the advantages and disadvantages of each method. Contraceptive methods can be divided into two, namely long-term contraceptive methods (Longterm Contraceptive Method), which include these methods are lUD (Intra Uterine Device) or IUD (Intrauterine Contraceptive Device), Implants, Vasectomy and Tubectomy. Meanwhile, non-long-term methods (Non-Long Contraceptive Method) include injections, pills, vaginal contraception and condoms. Apart from that, there are also natural birth control methods that follow the pregnancy cycle (Susilowati and Prasetyo, 2015). A side effect of hormonal contraception is menstrual disorders. The main side effects of DMPA (Depot Medroxyprogesteron Acetate) contraception and implants are menstrual disorders in the form of amenorrhea, spotting, changes in the cycle, frequency, length of menstruation and the amount of blood lost. The side effects of a contraceptive method are a factor that needs to be considered in determining the decision regarding the continued use of a contraceptive method (Hartanto, 2013). There were 12 respondents (70.6%) of women of childbearing age who used implant-type hormonal contraceptives who experienced menstrual disorders, the average complaint of which was the absence of menstruation for > 3 months (amenorrhea) and 5 respondents (29.4%) who not experiencing menstrual disorders. There were no 1-month injection type hormonal contraceptives who experienced menstrual disorders, while there were 4 people who were disturbed (100%). There were 13 respondents (76.5%) of the 3-month injectable type of hormonal contraception, while 4 respondents (23.5%) did not experience menstrual disorders. Of the 38 respondents who used hormonal contraception who met the requirements, they were analyzed statistically using the Chi Square test which has been carried out, the result was a p value of 0.013 (p<0.05) which indicates that there is a relationship between the type of hormonal contraception and menstrual disorders.

Abstract

MP Giving breast milk too early at less than 6 months of age is an indicator that the mother has failed to breastfeed exclusively, which also has an impact on the rate of exclusive breastfeeding which is still low. Providing early MP-ASI is closely related to the decisions made by the mother. Giving MP-ASI too early can have an impact on the baby's health, including other diarrheal diseases. This is because the baby's digestive system is not ready to accept food other than breast milk, causing a reaction in the digestive system (Utami, 2019). Giving people MP-ASI too early is a difficult problem. Even though breast milk is known to have many advantages in terms of nutrition, immunity, economics, practicality and psychology, mothers' awareness of giving breast milk is still very low. The practice of giving MP-ASI too early, namely to babies less than 6 months old, is a serious concern because the digestive organs in the baby's body have not yet fully developed. This is caused by several reasons, including because mothers' knowledge about the importance of breastfeeding is still low, lack of family support for exclusive breastfeeding, and many mothers work outside the home (Yuliarti, 2019). An initial survey was conducted at the BPS Sulastri Clinic, Medan Marelan District, Medan City on mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months. Of the 12 mothers who conducted interviews, there were 7 mothers who gave MP-ASI to babies before the age of 6 months, and 5 mothers said that the baby has been given formula milk since birth because only a little breast milk comes out. From the results of this background, the author is interested in researching "The relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about complementary foods for breast milk and the provision of complementary foods for babies aged 6-12 months at the BPS Sulastri Clinic, Medan Marelan District, Medan City in 2023."

Abstract

Factors that influence anxiety in pregnant women include lack of family support, financial adequacy, stress from the environment, high frequency of nausea and vomiting (physical health factors of pregnant women), attitudes towards pregnancy and ability to control pregnancy, good adjustment process to pregnancy. physically and psychosocially, as well as information about frightening birth experiences from the environment. (Andriana, 2016) This research aims to determine the influence of the class of pregnant women on anxiety among primigravida mothers in Parmonangan Village, Samosir Regency in 2023. This research uses a quantitative research design using correlational research and a cross-sectional approach, the population and sample size are primigravida mothers with a gestational age of 8-37 weeks in Parmonangan Village, Samosir Regency, namely 40 people using the total sampling method in April-June 2023. Analysis uses the Chi Square test for significance and if the p-value is > 0.05. Based on the results of the Chi Square statistical test research, the p value = 0.001, so p > 0.05, means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a relationship between the class of pregnant women and primigravida anxiety at the Tanjung Pura District Hospital, Langkat Regency based on Spearman's rho calculations with ᾳ = 0.05, a p value of 0.010 is obtained because the p value < ᾳ means that the test results are statistically significant, or reject Ho. described that pregnant women who attended classes for pregnant women had mild levels of anxiety. It is hoped that this will provide information about the implementation of pregnancy classes for primigravida mothers in reducing anxiety about their pregnancy
