Abstract

Only half of the 2.3 million infants under six months old in Indonesia receive exclusive breastfeeding. Hypnobreastfeeding is a relaxation technique that facilitates the breastfeeding process holistically, addressing the mind, body, and soul of the breastfeeding mother. The aim of this study is to review 'The Effect of Hypnobreastfeeding Techniques on Mothers' Motivation to Provide Exclusive Breastfeeding.' This research is a Quasi-Experimental study with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample in this study consisted of 15 respondents selected using the Probability Sampling technique. The data type in this research is primary data, measured using a checklist for observation and a questionnaire given to respondents. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test. The test value using the Wilcoxon test showed a Z value of -3.428 and a significance of 0.001 (p-value < 0.05), indicating that there is an effect of the Hypnobreastfeeding technique in increasing mothers' motivation to provide exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended that healthcare workers, especially midwives, pay more attention to the condition of postpartum mothers experiencing insufficient breast milk production and suggest hypnobreastfeeding therapy to breastfeeding mothers

Abstract

Background: Impaired mobility in stroke patients often causes excessive pressure on the skin, increasing the risk of pressure ulcers. If left untreated, decubitus wounds can get worse and lead to infection. Based on evidence, regular right-left tilt mobilization is a potential intervention to prevent pressure ulcers. Objective: Analyze the application of right-slant-left-slant mobilization to prevent pressure ulcers in stroke patients at Ibu Fatmawati Soekarno Regional Hospital, Surakarta City. Method: Descriptive research design with a case study approach, carried out every 3 hours on 2 respondents to explore the application of right oblique-left oblique mobilization in preventing pressure ulcers in stroke patients. Results: Before implementing the right oblique-left oblique mobilization every 3 hours the respondent was at moderate risk with a score of Tn .S 15, Ny.S 16 and pressure ulcers can be prevented. Conclusion: There is an effect of tilting mobilization to the right and left which is indicated by a decrease in the risk of developing pressure ulcers at the Ibu Fatmawati Soekarno Regional Hospital, Surakarta City.

Abstract

Non hemorrhagic stroke is a disorder caused by ischemia, thrombosis, embolism, and narrowing of the lumen so that blood flows to the brain stops. This type of stroke can have an impact on various body functions including muscle weakness. Rubber ball grip exercises can stimulate movement in the hands for gripping function so that it can restore brain control over weakened upper extremity muscles. This study aimed to describe the application of rubber ball grip exercises to upper extremity muscle strength in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. The research design used a case study approach. Data collection was carried out on May 30 - June 1 2023 at Kardinah Hospital, Tegal City with 2 patients having a medical diagnosis of non-hemorrhagic stroke. Both patients experienced an increase in upper extremity muscle strength. Patient 1 during 3 days of therapy experienced a change in muscle strength from 4 to 5. In patient 2 after 3 days of therapy experienced a change in muscle strength from 3 to 4.. The results showed that subject 1 experienced an increase in muscle strength from 4 to 5, subject II experienced an increase in muscle strength from 3 to 4. patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke are used to do rubber ball grip therapy for 10-15 minutes per day within 3 days to stimulate weak muscle strength.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of decubitus wounds in Indonesia was 33.3%, which is still high compared to Southeast Asia. Data from Central Java Hospital showed decubitus wounds reaching 30%, and the incidence in Sukoharjo City was 0.5%–1% in each region. Pressure on the skin caused by prolonged bed rest or immobilization can change the shape of the soft tissue in the bone protrusion area and increase the risk of decubitus. Objective: To describe the effects of implementing Massage Effleurage with Olive Oil on the prevention of decubitus wounds in bedrest patients. Methods: This kind of study employs descriptive research techniques, such as case studies, observation of two bedridden respondents, and application of olive oil massage therapy twice daily for five days, as assessed by the Braden Scale. Results: The category of decubitus score before application is moderate score and mild score. The category of decubitus score after application is mild score and mild score. There is an increase in decubitus score after being given effleurage massage with olive oil on both respondents. Conclusion: there is a change after giving effleurage massage with olive oil to decubitus scores in bedrest patients.
