Abstract

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is also characterized by gross motor delays which affect the development of functional abilities. Obstacle games provide sensory input that allows children to coordinate their body parts well. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of obstacle games on gross motor skills in ASD children aged 3-10 years. Method: Quantitative research using a pre-experiment one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample of 20 people was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Motor ability variables were measured using the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2) instrument. Data analysis used a paired t-test and n-gain score test with SPSS 25 software. Results: The majority of the research samples were male (85%), pre-school age (85%), and were at the average GARS category level (75%). Hypothesis testing showed a p-value = 0.000 (p<0.05) which means there is a significant difference in gross motor skills in children with ASD between before and after the obstacle course game. The N-Gain Score test obtained a value of 0.42, which means it is effective in the medium category. Conclusion: The obstacle course game is effective in improving the gross motor skills of children with autism spectrum disorders.

The basic techniques in basketball are:shooting (shooting), passing (baiting), dribbling (herding), pivoting (resting on one leg), and rebounding. In this sport, vertical jump is one of the elements that determines success in carrying out several of these techniques. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of media usearch support on the basketball player's jump and look for medial support that has an effect on the vertical jump. Method and subject: This type of research is pre-experimental research. The subjects in this research were 30 male members of the Surakarta Health Polytechnic basketball UKM, which was carried out in March–April 2023. Results: Data normality was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk test (<50), and the data was normally distributed with a significant value of p = 0.707 and p = 0.957 in the pre-test and post-test. The hypothesis test used is the paired sample T test with a sig value of 0.010 (P <.0.05) and a very high correlation strength of 0.827. Conclusion: There is an influence of medial usearch support for vertical jump on basketball players at UKM Poltekkes Surakarta

Abstract

Stroke is a sudden loss of brain function and triggers unilateral paralysis which can reduce posture and balance control, resulting in difficulty walking. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of LVST-BIG training in improving balance in stroke cases. Based on pre-experimental quantitative research with a one-group pretest-posttest design, this research population took stroke cases in Dibal Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali with a total sampling technique of 7 people. This intervention was carried out in stroke cases 16 times with a duration of 30 minutes/session. The balance measuring tool uses the Berg Balance Scale instrument. Hypothesis testing using Paired Samples T Test. The results of the research obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05 which shows that there is a difference in the mean results of the Berg Balance Scale between groups before being given intervention or after being given intervention for stroke conditions in Dibal Village, Ngemplak Boyolali

Abstract

Telemedicine has emerged as a pivotal solution for addressing healthcare disparities in rural communities, where access to medical services is often limited. This study aims to evaluate the impact of telemedicine on healthcare access in rural areas, focusing on how residents perceive and utilize telemedicine, the effect on healthcare outcomes, and the barriers to its implementation. Using qualitative research methods, secondary data were collected from academic journal articles, government reports, and healthcare surveys. Findings reveal that rural residents generally perceive telemedicine positively, appreciating its convenience and accessibility, although technological literacy and trust in technology remain concerns. The impact on healthcare outcomes is significant, with improvements noted in chronic disease management, patient satisfaction, and cost savings. However, several barriers impede the widespread adoption of telemedicine, including technological infrastructure limitations, regulatory complexities, reimbursement issues, and the need for provider and patient education. The study concludes that while telemedicine has the potential to transform rural healthcare, addressing these barriers is crucial for optimizing its effectiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

Breast cancer refers to the cellular malignant growth in breast tissue. Chemotherapy is an applicable treatment for breast cancer but this treatment causes sleeping problems as a side effect. Hydrotherapy and natural music are non-pharmacological methods to manage sleep problems. This quasi-experimental research determines the effects of hydrotherapy and natural music therapy on the quality of sleep of patients receiving breast cancer chemotherapy by applying One Group Pretest and Posttest. The research took 43 sample people using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. The survey results revealed that 43 respondents, primarily aged 46 to 55 (23 respondents or 53.5%), 16 respondents with primary education (37.2%), and 32 unemployed respondents (74.4%). Most respondents received chemotherapy at Dr. Kariadi's hospital and had poor sleeping quality before the intervention. After the intervention, 32 respondents had excellent sleeping quality (74.4%). Wilcoxon's statistical results found the influence of hydrotherapy and natural music on the sleeping of patients receiving breast cancer chemotherapy at Dr. Kariadi's Hospital. The P-value value is 0.000 lower than 0.05, accepting Ha and rejecting Ho. The results also recommend the management of the intervention at the same room temperature.

According to Kridalaksana (2018), Pragmatics is defined as the conditions that result in the use of language in communication being compatible or not, aspects of language use or the external context of language that contribute to the meaning of utterances. Objective: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship the intensity of playing gadgets and the pragmatic abilities of children aged three to six years at Tunas Rimba Gundih Kindergarten, Geyer District, Grobogan Regency. Methods: This research is a quantitative research with an associative approach. The sample size used was 32 respondents. data that accumulated was tested using Spearman's rho. Research Results: The results of Spearman's rho test results obtained Sig. 0.000, where the significance value is less than 0.005 with the Correlation Coefficient or the strength of the correlation coefficient of -0.798. So the alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted that there is a relationship between the intensity of playing gadgets with pragmatic ability, with very strong accuracy. Conclusion: There is a negative relationship between the intensity of playing gadgets and the pragmatic abilities of children aged three to six years at Tunas Rimba Gundih Kindergarten, Geyer District, Grobogan Regency. This negative direction has meaning, the higher the intensity of playing gadgets, the more disturbed the development of children's pragmatic abilities, and vice versa.

Abstract

Background, The problem of mothers not consistently giving breast milk is the mother's fear of the adequacy of the breast milk produced. Efforts to increase the adequacy of breast milk so that the baby's weight increases can be done with back rolling massage. Massage in this spinal area increases blood flow, provides a sense of comfort, stimulates milk production, overcomes the inactivity of breast milk production which is assisted by the baby's suction on the nipple. Purpose, This study is to determine the effect of back rolling massage on the weight gain of infants aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Kartasura Health Center. Methodology, This type of research uses Quasy Experimental with pretest-posttest with control group design. The number of samples in this study is 30 respondents. Data collection was carried out with observation sheets. The data analysis of this study was by univariate and bivariate analysis by Wilcoxon. Results : Based on the research, the results obtained by using the Wilcoxon test obtained a value r= 0.005 for the control group and a value r= 0.001 for the intervention group, where the value value r < α (0.05) which means that there is an effect of back rolling massage on the weight gain of infants aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Kartasura Health Center. Conclusion : There is an effect of back rolling massage on the weight gain of infants aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Kartasura Health Center.
