Abstract

Keberlanjutan adopsi Tyto Alba sebagai predator alami di lahan padi sangat penting untuk pengendalian hama yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peran penyuluh, partisipasi petani, dan dukungan eksternal terhadap keberlanjutan adopsi Tyto Alba pada petani padi di Desa Wukirsari dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Penelitian ini melibatkan 31 petani sebagai responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan data dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi petani berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan adopsi sedangkan peran penyuluh dan dukungan eksternal tidak berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan adopsi Tyto Alba sebagai pengendali hama tikus pada lahan padi. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memperkuat partisipasi petani dalam menjaga keberlanjutan adopsi Tyto Alba. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar kelompok tani lebih aktif dalam penyebaran informasi dan berbagi pengalaman terkait manfaat Tyto Alba. Selain itu, dukungan kebijakan yang lebih konkret dari pemerintah dan lembaga terkait perlu diperkuat untuk meningkatkan efektivitas implementasi jangka panjang strategi pengendalian hama berbasis Tyto Alba.

Abstract

Home Industry Seqanura merupakan home industry yang memproduksi Sari Buah Pala. Sari Buah Pala diproduksi sebanyak 2 kali dalam sebulan dengan jumlah 68 botol per produksi. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh home industry adalah mempertahankan kelangsungan hidup produk guna mendapatkan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan efisiensinya dalam pemasaran melalui manajemen rantai pasok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Supply Chain Management (SCM) di home industry yang mencakup aliran produk, keuangan dan informasi serta mengetahui efisiensi biaya supply chain. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif meliputi SCM yang terdiri dari aliran produk, informasi dan keuangan. Kuantitatif meliputi perhitungan margin pemasaran dan produser’s share. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 3 aliran SCM pada home industry seqanura dikategorikan baik karena setiap lembaga sudah bekerjasama dengan baik dan saling terintegrasi satu dengan yang lain sehingga barang ke konsumen dapat tersalurkan dengan cepat, konsisten dan harga yang murah. Efisiensi supply chain sari buah pala terdapat pada saluran I, di karenakan (1) saluran pemasarannya lebih pendek, (2) pada saluran I keuntungan penjualan sepenuhnya diterima oleh home industry yaitu sebesar Rp 4.925.

Abstract

Organic materials refer to substances derived from plant or animal waste and by-products, including manure, composted rice straw, plant residues, sewage, green manure, legume cuttings, and municipal or industrial waste (Zaini et al., 2004, cited in Pirngadi, 2008). This study aims to assess the level of organic material availability and identify the factors influencing it. The parameters analyzed include soil pH, total nitrogen (Total-N), organic carbon (C-organic), organic materials, water content, and the C/N ratio. The research was conducted in Subaim, Bumi Restu Village, in the Wasile District of East Halmahera Regency.The calculation of organic material values involved multiplying the C-organic content by a factor of 1.74%. The findings reveal that the average organic material content across various types of rice field land uses ranges from moderate to high, specifically between 4.12% and 4.43%. The higher levels of organic materials are attributed to the application of rice straw and organic fertilizers during post-harvest and land preparation phases. Conversely, lower organic material values are primarily due to the significant consumption of organic matter by plants during their growth stages

Abstract

The use of biological control agents (BCA) in rice cultivation is an environmentally friendly alternative strategy for pest control, yet its adoption rate among farmers remains low. This study aims to assess the level of farmer motivation in using BCA and to analyze the influencing factors. The research was conducted in Temuwuh Village, Dlingo Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, using a quantitative approach through a survey method involving 80 rice farmers selected via proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that the role of agricultural extension workers and farmer groups has a significant effect on farmers' motivation, whereas non-formal education, farming experience, land area, and government support do not show significant influence. The adjusted R square value of 0.436 indicates that 43.6% of the variation in farmers’ motivation is explained by the variables in the model. These findings highlight the importance of institutional approaches, particularly through the role of extension workers and farmer groups, in shaping farmers’ motivation to adopt biological control agents. It is recommended that agricultural assistance programs enhance the function of farmer groups and the field presence of extension workers to increase the adoption of environmentally friendly agricultural technologies.

Abstract

The productivity of lemon basil (Ocimum x citriodorum) in Indonesia remains below optimal potential due to inefficient cultivation technology implementation, particularly in nutritional management and growth regulation aspects. Soil fertility degradation and limited application of plant growth regulators constitute primary limiting factors in achieving maximum productivity of this aromatic plant. This research aimed to analyze the effects of NPK Mutiara fertilizer and Hormonik application on lemon basil growth, determine optimal dosage combinations of both production inputs, and examine synergistic interactions influencing morphophysiological plant characteristics. The experiment employed a factorial Completely Randomized Design with two independent factors: NPK Mutiara doses (0, 3, 6, 9 g/plant) and Hormonik concentrations (0, 2, 4, 6 ml/l water), generating 16 treatment combinations with three replications. Observed parameters included plant height, flowering age, economic fresh weight, number of leaf stalks, leaves per stalk, and shoot-root ratio. Results demonstrated that the combination of NPK Mutiara 9 g/plant and Hormonik 6 ml/l water provided optimal growth responses with plant height of 68.83 cm, flowering age of 24.00 days, and leaf count of 572.17 pieces. Synergistic application of NPK Mutiara and Hormonik optimized the genetic potential of lemon basil through enhanced primary metabolism efficiency and endogenous hormonal regulation.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of combining cow manure bokashi and Gandasil B foliar fertilizer on the growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) variety Hercules F1. The experiment was conducted using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: bokashi dosage (0, 10, 15, and 20 tons/ha) and Gandasil B concentration (0, 5, 7, and 9 g/L), each repeated three times, resulting in 48 experimental units. Observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, number of fruits per plant, fresh fruit weight, and fruit length. The results showed that the combination of 15 tons/ha bokashi and 7 g/L Gandasil B (A3B3) significantly produced the best results across all parameters. This treatment improved nutrient availability, enhanced soil structure, and supported plant physiological efficiency. Therefore, the integrated application of cow manure bokashi and Gandasil B is an effective and sustainable fertilization strategy to increase cucumber productivity.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the potential utilization of oil palm waste from PT. Gelora Mandiri Membangun (GMM) in South Halmahera as an alternative feed for ruminant livestock. Waste samples including empty fruit bunches (EFB), palm fiber, and Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) were collected and analyzed for their nutritional content using proximate analysis methods, followed by feeding trials on local goats. The results showed that fermented POME exhibited the highest crude protein content at 7.80%, while EFB contained 38.20% crude fiber, and palm fiber contained up to 9.20% fat. Feeding trials indicated that goats fed with diets based on fermented POME achieved an average daily weight gain (ADWG) of 91 g/head/day, only slightly lower than those fed with commercial feed (95 g/head/day). These findings suggest that, after simple processing such as fermentation, oil palm waste holds great potential as an alternative feed material without significantly reducing livestock performance. The study concludes that oil palm waste can be an efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly alternative feed source. Utilizing this waste also supports the principles of sustainable agriculture and circular economy while offering economic benefits to local communities through the integration of plantation and livestock sectors. It is recommended to develop simple waste processing technologies and foster local partnerships to optimize the utilization of these resources.

Abstract

Fruit flies belong to pests that inflict huge losses on farmers, especially fruit and vegetable growers. Damage caused by this fruit fly causes the fruit to become rotten, several ways have been done to inflict fruit flies in Indonesia, but the use of pesticides is still dominant. other efforts are needed, namely by implementing Integrated Pest Management. One of them is ecosystem manipulation by planting using the "border plant" technique or edge plants surrounding the plant with refugia. The use of this technique aims to get natural enemies and polynators to go to the edge plants to forage and breed. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of refugia planting with "border plant" treatment in suppressing the intensity of fruit fly pest attacks on bitter gourd plants. The study was conducted with a Randomized Group Design (RAK) where there were 5 treatments (controls, kenikir flowers, paper, marigolds, purslane) and 5 repeats. The results showed that all refugia plants gave good results in suppressing fruit fly pest attacks on bitter gourd indicated by the percentage of attack rate only below 10%, the development of pupae and imago populations produced also showed that the average form was relatively very small, namely below 10 per head.Keywords : Border Plant, Fruit Fly, Bitter Gourd Plant

Abstract

Sago has the ability to significantly boost the Central Halmahera Regency's North Patani District local economy. Strategies that promote raising the economic value of sago starch products must be developed in order to guarantee that this potential is sustained. The purpose of this study is to use the Process Hierarchy Analysis Method (AHP) to identify alternative decision priorities. This approach include gathering information via field surveys, literature reviews, and expert and pertinent stakeholder interviews. The research's conclusions offer tactical recommendations for enhancing the region's sago agribusiness's sustainability, marketing, and production. The use of contemporary processing technology is the factor with the highest priority, according to the analysis. From peeling to drying, the goal is to make every step of the sago manufacturing process more efficient. In addition, institutional planning is seen as a high priority. Increasing productivity, efficiency, and added value in the manufacturing and marketing of sago products is the main goal of this strategy. It is envisaged that by putting these techniques into practice, farmers' incomes will rise and sago products' market access will expand. The community's economic well-being in North Patani District, Central Halmahera Regency, is anticipated to significantly improve as a result of this change.Keywords: development strategy, sago agribusiness, AHP method

Abstract

The development of food crops is part of the agricultural sector with the aim of realizing the conditions for meeting food needs with sufficient nutrition for the population to lead a healthy and productive life.  This study aims to determine the amount of income and the feasibility level of production of dry milled grain (GKG) and rice. This study was conducted in East Wasile District, East Halmahera Regency with sample determination using purposive sampling and systemic sampling on farmers in East Wasile District, East Halmahera Regency. The results of the study obtained were rice production income of Rp.21,068,283.78 and dry milled grain (GKG) production of Rp.22,134,104. The feasibility level in the production of dry milled grain (GKG) shows an R /C ratio of 2.1 and rice of 2.0, which means that both productions are feasible to be pursued because the resulting value1. Other feasibility indicators are BEP (Break-even point) where dry milled grain reaches breakeven or BEP Price as much as Rp.2,451 and BEP production is 644 Kg, while for rice to breakeven at the BEP value Price of Rp. 4,783 and BEP production of 387 Kg this means that farmers will not experience any gains or losses, so to be able to get a profit and not experience losses, the yield of dry milled grain and rice must be increased above the value  BEP Production and BEP Price.Keywords: Income, Break-even point, Milled dry grain, Rice
