Abstract

Health is currently an issue that has an individual and social impact on mental health problems. Indonesia is one of the countries that has a fairly high risk of mental health problems. The lack of attention and readiness of facilities is one of the policy instruments. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of legal politics after Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health related to mental health issues to obtain the responsibility of its policy direction. The research method in this article uses a library research model with data sources obtained through secondary data search with a juridical-normative approach. The results of the study show that the dynamics of legal politics on mental health problems in Indonesia have been going on from 1966 to 2014, but nevertheless mental health rules in terms of orientation and practice are still partially running. The progressive direction began to be seen when Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health was passed through the omnibus law method. The responsive legal review emphasizes the state's responsibility in providing mental health protection as an effort to empower human resources to create a healthy generation both physically, mentally and spiritually to achieve the aspired state goals. The conclusion of this study is that the derivative regulations of the Health Law related to mental health services must be immediately actualized to prevent mental health problems from becoming more widespread.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Cognitive Academic Language Learning Approach (CALLA) model in learning to listen to legendary story texts in early level students in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Siliwangi University. The CALLA model was chosen because it combines cognitive, metacognitive, and social-affective learning strategies that are believed to improve students' academic abilities and language skills. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach to assess the effectiveness of the application of the model in the context of listening learning. Data were obtained through the assessment of student learning outcomes after participating in CALLA-based learning. The results of the analysis showed that 46.15% of students scored in the good category, 35.90% were sufficient, 15.38% were very good, and 2.56% were less. This finding shows that most students have shown sufficient to good listening skills, although there are still a small number who need improvement. Thus, the CALLA model has proven effective in supporting the listening learning process, especially in improving understanding of narrative texts such as legendary stories. This study recommends wider application of the CALLA model as a new listening learning strategy and aims to develop students' academic language skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social context, social values, and the role of literature as a reflection of society in Hamka's anthology of short stories In the Valley of Life using Ian Watt's literary sociology approach. This research focuses on three main problem formulations, namely: (1) how the social context is depicted in the short stories, (2) how social values are represented, and (3) how literature acts as a reflection of society. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with literature study technique. The results show that the short stories in this anthology reflect the social conditions of Minangkabau society at that time, such as the cultural system, social inequality, and the dynamics of family life. The social values found include the importance of solidarity, sacrifice, and responsibility towards the family. In addition, these short stories also feature relevant social criticism, making Hamka's work a medium to describe the social reality of society. Through Ian Watt's literary sociology approach, this research provides new insights into Hamka's contribution in shaping social awareness and enriches the understanding of the relationship between literature and society

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of independent clauses in President Prabowo Subianto’s inaugural speech from the perspective of Indonesian syntax. An independent clause is a grammatical unit consisting of a subject and predicate that can stand alone as a complete sentence. This research applies a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques on the official speech transcript. The analysis identified eight independent clauses categorized into transitive verbal clauses, intransitive verbal clauses, and nonverbal clauses. Each clause was examined based on its structure and contextual use within the speech. The findings highlight the crucial role of independent clauses in enhancing message clarity and strengthening rhetorical leadership style. This study is expected to enrich syntactic studies and serve as a reference for Indonesian language education, particularly in understanding clause structures in formal contexts.
