Abstract

Background : Malnutrition in early life may cause low quality of live; thus supplementary feeding or educational feeding programs are needed.Objective :The objective of this study  was to analyze the nutritional status difference among malnourished children after receiving suplementary feeding  and educational feeding program.Method : The Subject  of the study were of 90 children under five consisting of 45 samples from sub  distric Kembang and 45 samples from sub distric Bangsri. Using Repeated Measure Anova SPSS program, test was used to know the difference nutritional status of the sample after one month, two months, three months giving of suplementary feeding both for the samples group of recovery suplementary feeding  and education suplementary feeding receiver, and Independence Test of T – test to know the difference nutritional status between the samples group of recovery suplementary feeding and educaton suplementary feeding receiver after 1 month, 2 months, and after 3 months.Results : There was a difference nutritional status within   recovery suplementary feeding group  before and after receiving suplementary feeding p= 0.000. In recovery suplementary feeding group there was no significanly difference, p= 0.103. There was  no significant difference of nutritional status between group of recovery suplementary feeding receiver andeducation  suplementary feeding receiver after one month by p=0.706. and also after 2 months by p value = 0.063, but after 3 months there was significant difference by p value = 0.019. .Conclution : Nutritional status moalnourished children between the group of recovery suplementary feeding and educational suplementary feeding receiver was  significantly different after 3 months.

Abstract

Background : Fiber intake of the Central Java population on average 51% of the level of adequacy of the fiber. Lack of fiber can cause constipation, which gives the symptoms of constipation is less convenient because of the perceived pain either before or during the process of defecation. Recent study showed that the prevalence of constipation women who worked in Jakarta was 47.6%. Good source of fiber for constipation is insoluble fiber found in fruits and vegetables, among others present in red guava, green apple, and papaya are then processed into juice. Taste test research has been conducted to test the acceptability of the juice . Then be made juices are high in fiber with 50 grams of the composition of guava, green apple 25 grams, and 25 grams of papaya is shortened to Juice Jaya.Objective: This study aimed to determine the Effect of Juice Jaya to Constipation In Level I Student of Nutrition Department of Health Polytechnic Semarang 2013/2014.Method: This study used the Approach Pre-test - Post test randomized control group design.and Anacova analize with MoH polytechnic students were 20 people who suffer from constipation .Results: First level of Nutrition Program Students have constipation is 21.55 %. Fiber intake before the study was 14.52 grams in the treatment group and was 13.53 grams in the control group. After the study, Fiber intake on the treatment group increased 20.45 grams, and relative constan in the control group 14.79 grams (p = 0.004). Incidence of constipation after the study decreased to 15.0 % in the treatment group and relative equal 50.0 % in the control group (p = 0.003) .Conclusion: There is the effect of the juice Jaya on the incidence of constipation in first level of Nutrition Departemen Students of Health Polytecnic Semarang.

Abstract

Background : Patient acceptability of the food served can be seen from the leftovers. Data leftovers are generally used to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition education programs, activities and food service, as well as the adequacy of food consumption on a group or individualObjective : Determine the effect of nutrition education on eating the rest of the patients with usual diet in the class III Inpatient Hospital Kalidjaga Sunan DemakMethod : This research is penilitian Quasi- Experiment with design Nonequivalen control group design. independent variable is nutrition education, while the dependent variable is the leftovers. The study subjects who used a number of 48 people were divided into treatment group and control group 24 persons 24 persons. Bivariate analysis used were paired t - test and independent t - test. The rest of the food was measured by the method comstok patients to determine the effect of education on food waste.Results : The rest of the patients before and after food nutrition education for patients (control group) by an average of 32.17 and 20:25 . The rest of the patients before and after food without nutrition education hospitalized patients (group treatments) by an average of 22:29 and 12.96.Conclusion : Differences leftovers patients at initial measurement (before education) and the final measurement (after education) in the treatment group gained an average of 9,333. Differences leftovers patients at the end of the initial measurements and measurements obtained in the absence of the provision of education on average 11, 917. Differences leftovers patients in the treatment group and the control group by 7,292. There are differences in the group of patients leftovers with nutrition education and nutrition education group in hospitals without Kalidjaga Sunan Demak years 2014secara significant with p - value: 0.000.

Abstract

Background : Food diversification program aims to improve the food consumption and to reduce reliance on one types of food, especially rice. The program is carried out by considering local produce available and less utilization. One examples of product is purple sweet potato flour cookies.Aims : This study is to determine the effect of green bean flour substitution on nutritional value (fiber and carbohydrates) as well acceptance of purple potato cookies with green bean flour substitution of )%, 10%, 20% and 30%.Method : Design that is used by this study is a random design completely with two repetitions that are measurement of levels of fiber and carbohydrate done in duplicate. The level of acceptance measurement test performed by 25 trained panelists who know about the organoleptic testing.Result : The result  showed, sweet potato flour cookies with green bean flour substitution as much as 30% has the highest fiber content of 0,22g% and the highest carbohydrates content of 63,28%. Based on the results of statistical test ANOVA, green bean fluor substitution of sweet potato cookies has significant effect for fiber and carbohydrates, with p-value 0,00. Acceptance of test results showed the influence of green bean fluor substitution for acceptance of cookies purple sweet potato fluor. Purple sweet potato cookies with green bean fluor substitution of 20% are the most favored cookies with an average score of 3,95.Conclusion : The result above it can be concluded that there is a substitution effect of green bean fluor on the nutritional value (fiber and carbohydrates) and acceptance of cookies.

Abstract

Background : The toddler is one of the population groups that are vulnerable to nutritional problems. They are experiencing rapid growth and development in this period of time and thus require the supply of food and nutrition in sufficient quantities and adequate. Malnutrition in infancy can lead to impaired growth and development of the physical, mental, social, intellectual nature persist and continue to be carried into adulthood.Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplemental feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status in the Puskesmas Kramat Tegal regency.Method : Research in using this type of analytical research, research design used in this study was a cohort study conducted in the design of non randomisassi. The research sample was 23 children who received food supplement to recovery and 23 infants who were not given food supplement to recovery that will be the control group. Analysis researchers used statistical tests to analyze the effect of food supplement recovery to changes in nutritional status using test Anacova Repeated Meansure with α 0.05.Results : The results showed that there was the influence of supplementary feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status (p value 0.012).Conclusion : The conclusion of this research is the nutritional status of the comparator group average Z score before -2.426, month-1 is -2.052, month-2 is -2.157 and -2.783 3rd month. The nutritional status nutritional status prior to treatment groups treatment was -2.504, -2.222 month 1, month 2 is -1.190 and three months to an average z score to -1.280. The author expects for the health department in order to improve the efficiency of the implemented processes packets food supplement to recovery. Food supplement to recovery mentoring program so that a given package is really right on target and acceptable to children under five goals.

Abstract

Background : Kadarzi Program has been implemented since 2003. From the results of monitoring have yet to all be family conscious family nutrition. As for the Kadarzi product in the city of Tegal is 52,83% (76% of target in 2011), while in the West of the Palace Kelurahan Tegal Clinics recently reached 32.4%. In order to change health behavior in particular acquired Kadarzi, the granting of necessary information. Provision of the information would enhance public knowledge about it.Granting information by model pemberdayaan family knowledge, focusing on increased the attitudes and behavior counseling and kie kadarzi through development Conseling is a good interpersonnal communication, because in this model, relation between communicator or counselor and clients is happened. And the kind of research true experiment by providing treatment of Kadarzi counseling on the toddler in kelurahan Tegal Barat  next treated as group treat. The control group is mother fives in kelurahan palace which do not get treatment counseling.Objective :The purpose of the study is determined the effectiveness of counseling the mother to behavior Kadarzi in Kelurahan Kraton Kecamatan Tegal Barat. The population of study are 885 family. The samples are needed 37 mother who has toddler. Sample-taking is using propotional simple random sampling  technique. Test statistic with Kai quadrat with degree of significance α = 0,05 and counting great effectiveness.Method : This study was designed as an quasi experiment using  randomized pretest and posttest Control Group Design. Result : result of analysis shows there is no difference between the counseling Kadarzi before treatment group and cluster of control p value = 0,812. After counseling kadarzi behavior is different between treatment group dan cluster of control p value = 0,004.Conclusion : The effectiveness of counseling is 60 %.

Abstract

Background: Under Weight is a health problem that occurs in developing countries like Indonesia. The prevalence of malnutrition nationally as much as 19.6%. The prevalence of under weight in Central Java 18% and in CHC Ngawen 14.8%.Objective: To describe the effect of nutritional assistance based on affect of mothers knowledge and feeding practices for children under weight 6-24 months age in CHC of Ngawen Blora.Methods: There was a quasi-experimental design pre and post test control group gesign with 38 samples. The intervention group received nutrition assistance for 1 month with 3 sessions (intensive, reinforcement, self). Data analysis used Annova Repeated Measure.Results: The average knowledge of the mother before and after assistance, was 78.0 and 89.26. The average of feeding practice before and after assistance was 70.62 and 85.6.Conclusion: There were differences in the knowledge scores of mothers and provision of complementary feeding practices between the control and intervention groups after being given assistance (p=0.094 and p = 0.073). Research for the effect of nutrition assistance program should be implemented to the nutritional status of children 6-24 months ages malnutrition

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a disorder of the cardiovascular system, it’s still a burden on public health because of its prevalence is high. Factors that cause hypertension such as lack of physical activity, obesity and stress state. The prevalence of teenagers hypertension in the age group 15-24 years are 8,7%.Objective: To identify the correlations between exercise habits, obesity and stress with hypertension in adolescents in Senior High School 10 Semarang.Methods: The study of public nutrition with case control approach (matching sex) with each sample case and control groups of 37 students. Collecting data include measurement of blood pressure, exercise habits, height and weight measurements and stress. To determine the relationship between variables used Mc Nemar test with α = 95%.Results: The average systolic blood pressure / diastolic in hypertension group was 131.70 / 74.61 mmHg and the group does not hypertensive 103.08 / 59.41 mmHg. 86.5% of adolescents with hypertension lack of exercise, while adolescents are not hypertensive 83.8% less exercise. Adolescents with hypertension 62.6% are obese, while adolescents are not hypertensive only 8.1%. Most (89.2%) adolescents both hypertensive and non-hypertensive do not experience stress. Results of bivariate analysis is not significant correlations between exercise habits with hypertension (p = 1.000), there is a correlations between obesity and hypertension (p = 0.001, OR = 8) and there is not significant correlations between stress and hypertension (p = 1.000).Conclusions: Obesity is correlated with hypertension. While exercise habits and stress are not correlated. Suggested adolescents maintain a healthy weight.

Abstract

Background: Prevalence of stunting in Demak district 2015 was 29%, higher than central java prevalence. Stunting have will inhibit the development of cognitive and motoricamong children with negative impact in the next life. This study aims to determine risk of stunting of children under five year.Methods: We used data from the need assesment project from the Nutrion of Departement Health of Polytechnic Semarang. We used 420 children wich selected using simple random sampling. Risk factor for child stunting included factor from nutrition, physiological, illness, parenting, health behavior and socioeconomic incidence. Variable intake of energy and protein obtained by Food Recall 2 x 24 hours, the variable gender, maternal age, height mothers, diarrhea, respiratory infection, a child's weight, parenting, attitudes, knowledge, the use of iodized salt, vitamin A, large families, education, employment and pendapatan diperoleh using a questionnaire with interview method. Logistic regression was use to determine the risk factors.Results: We found 33,1% children was stunting. From the best model factors, the risk factor for the children in stunting is maternal high ≤ 145 cm (OR = 2,5; CI = 1,057 to 5,022), maternal knowledge of <80% (OR = 2; CI = 1,070 to 2,776), family do not use any of iodized salt in the household (OR = 8,5; CI = 4,979 to 13,541) and maternal education less than primary school (OR = 3,5; CI = 1,022 to 11,275).Conclusion: Determinan Factors that make children at risk for stunting is maternal high, maternal knowledge, families who do not use iodized salt in the household and maternal education less than primary school. There is a need to take height measurements regularly in health pos to monitor child stunting.

Abstract

Background : Treatment of hypertension in the long term can affect adherence and cause toxic effects, therefore it takes alternative treatment by utilizing nutrients in food, one of which is the antioxidant like as lycopene and flavonoid in tomato-lime juice.Objective : The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of tomato juicewith extra lime on blood pressure in women adults.Methods : This study was clinical nutrition research with True Experiment randomized repeated measure control group design. The subject were 39 women adult 40-60 years, 19 control groups and 20 in treatment. Intervention was performed for 21 days with the measurement of systolic and diastolic blood pressure every 1 week 1 time. The statistical analysis was done by Anova Repeated Measure test with 95% confidence degree.Results : Anova Repeated Measure show that tomato juice with extra limecan lowered systolic and diastolic blood pressure (α = 0.005, p = 0.002 and p = 0.038), while the level of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber, sodium, and potassium did not affect in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.Conclusion : tomato-lime juice effectively lowered systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
