Abstract

This study analyses the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, profitability, and sustainability reports on firm value, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) acting as a moderating variable, amongst manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021–2024. The study employs a quantitative approach using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) on 136 observations selected via purposive sampling. Secondary data were obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. The results indicate that ESG, profitability (proxied by Return on Assets (ROA)), and sustainability reports have a positive and significant effect on firm value. GCG was also found to strengthen the influence of these three variables on firm value. These findings suggest that the implementation of Good Corporate Governance enhances the effectiveness of both financial and non-financial factors in creating firm value. This study is expected to enrich the literature on the determinants of firm value and provide insights for companies seeking to strengthen their sustainability and governance strategies.

Abstract

Digital transformation in social security services has driven PT Taspen (Persero) to develop the ANDAL by Taspen application, a superapp that allows pension participants to independently perform monthly presence authentication through biometric selfie technology. Despite its high adoption rate, user reviews indicate persistent service stability issues, such as authentication failures and accessibility difficulties for elderly customers, potentially delaying the disbursement of pensioners' financial entitlements. This study aims to analyze the implementation process of the ANDAL by Taspen application, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine its contribution to pension service operations at PT Bank Mandiri Taspen KC Manado. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, with data collected through nonparticipant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data are analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, & Saldana (2014), encompassing data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation, member checking, and prolonged observation. The findings are expected to serve as an evaluation basis for PT Bank Mandiri Taspen KC Manado and PT Taspen (Persero) in refining digital pension services to become more reliable, fast, and inclusive for civil servant pensioners.

Abstract

This research examines the extent to which staff competency impacts work productivity levels within the Regional Secretariat of Manado City, primarily to support regional cooperation initiatives. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative design was implemented. The research population encompassed all 162 staff members of the institution, from which 100 respondents were selected as samples utilizing a purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods involved direct observation, Likert-scale questionnaires, and documentation studies. The data analysis procedures incorporated descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption verifications, simple linear regression, the coefficient of determination (), and t-tests for hypothesis validation. Descriptive findings indicate that both competence and performance levels among employees fall into high and excellent categories. The simple linear regression computation generated the equation , denoting a positive linear correlation where improvements in competency directly elevate employee output. Furthermore, the t-test yielded a calculated -statistic of 58.870 with a significance level of , leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis () and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (). This empirically confirms that competence exerts a robust, positive, and significant influence on employee performance. Additionally, the determination coefficient () of 0.972 signifies that 97.2% of performance variance is accounted for by the competency variable, leaving the remaining 2.8% influenced by external factors outside this model.

Abstract

The fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution sector in North Sulawesi faces inventory management challenges due to continued reliance on manual logistics recording systems, as found at UD Mitra Kencana Manado, which still depends on stock cards, notebooks, and written forms despite its large operational scale. Preliminary observations indicated recording delays, discrepancies between recorded data and the physical condition of goods, and obstacles in communicating stock information between departments. This study aims to describe and deeply understand the actual condition of this manual logistics recording system based on the experience and perspective of the actors directly involved. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted within the warehouse and administrative environment of the Manado Warehouse of UD Mitra Kencana. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and direct observation (participant-as-observer) with four purposively selected key informants — the Head of Logistics, two Warehouse Heads, and the Logistics Admin — on August 3 and 15, 2026. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014), comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification, with validity examined through source and method triangulation. The findings show that recording completeness is deferred rather than failed; timeliness is marked by a dualism of tempo between administrative and operational speeds; data accuracy is reconstructed after recording through periodic stock-taking; ease of access remains personal rather than institutional; and procedural consistency is strong in format but weak in execution timing. The study concludes that a time gap exists between physical warehouse activities and inventory record updates, particularly under high workloads, representing a contextual finding not intended as a generalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of profitability, leverage, and firm size on firm value in Indonesian technology-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2025 tech winter period. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data. From a population of 47 companies, 30 companies were selected through purposive sampling based on the criteria of consistent listing on the IDX during 2022–2025, no delisting, and the availability of audited annual financial statements as well as complete financial and market data during the observation period, resulting in 120 firm-year observations. Firm value is proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability by Return on Assets (ROA), leverage by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets. The estimation employs a two-way fixed effects model with Cross-section SUR (PCSE). The results show that ROA has no significant effect on PBV, while DER and firm size have positive and significant effects on PBV. Simultaneously, profitability, leverage, and firm size have a significant effect on firm value. These findings indicate that leverage and firm size are factors that significantly affect firm value, whereas profitability does not show a significant effect during the observation period.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurial interest and motivation on students' entrepreneurial readiness. A quantitative, ex post facto correlational design was used. The research subjects consisted of 74 students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (51 females and 23 males), who had completed an entrepreneurship course, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online Likert-scale questionnaire tested for validity (product-moment correlation) and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha), then analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. All instruments were found reliable (Alpha 0.948-0.974) and most items valid. The analysis produced the regression equation Y = 1.609 + 0.253X1 + 0.604X2, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.865, indicating that entrepreneurial interest and motivation jointly explain 86.5% of the variance in entrepreneurial readiness. The t-test results show that entrepreneurial interest (t = 2.628; Sig. = 0.011) and entrepreneurial motivation (t = 8.774; Sig. = 0.000) each have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial readiness at the 0.05 significance level, with motivation showing a more dominant contribution. These findings emphasize the importance of applied entrepreneurship learning to foster students' interest and motivation so that their readiness to start a business continues to improve.

Abstract

Advances in financial technology have made it easier for Generation Z to access digital investment services, including investment instruments based on Sharia principles. The Stockbit app has become one of the platforms Generation Z uses to obtain information, monitor, and conduct investment activities digitally. This study aims to analyze Generation Z’s motivations and perceptions regarding the use of Sharia-compliant financial technology as an investment tool through the Stockbit app. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approac. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving three informants Umi, Siti, and Alya selected purposively based on their Generation Z status and their experience with or knowledge of Stockbit’s digital investment features. The data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that Generation Z’s motivations are reflected in their perceptions of the app’s benefits, positive attitudes toward its use, intentions to continue using it, and actual use of the app in investment activities. These motivations are also supported by ease of access to services, the usefulness of digital investment features, transaction efficiency and speed, security and trust in transactions, and adherence to Sharia principles. The study’s findings indicate that these various factors encourage Generation Z to use Stockbit as a practical, secure, and Sharia-compliant digital investment platform.
