Abstract

This research aims to understand how the TVOneNews television media constructs news about the fate of the assets of the victim of illegal trading on Binomo, Indra Kenz, being seized by the state. Because Indra Kenz, the victim of illegal trading on Binomo, was judged as a gambler by the judge, and the assets were confiscated by the state. According to experts in the Anti-Money Laundering Act (TPPU), there were no gambling charges filed, only charges of money laundering against Indra Kenz. The purpose of this research is to examine how the "Apa Kabar Indonesia Malam" program on tvOneNews constructs the issue of justice for the victim regarding the judge's decision to label them as a gambler. The research uses Robert N. Entman's framing analysis method and a qualitative research approach with a constructivist perspective. It is analyzed through four elements, including defining the problem, diagnosing causes, making moral judgments, and providing treatment recommendations. Data collection techniques involve video documentation from special reports on the "Apa Kabar Indonesia Malam" program. The research results indicate that mass media is a loaded industry and a business institution that is not always objective. Therefore, the outcomes of mass media, such as TV programs and news texts, are influenced by media personnel and ownership. Here, Putri Viola on "Apa Kabar Indonesia Malam" constructs the issue of justice for victims of illegal trading on Binomo, Indra Kenz, for law enforcement purposes.

Abstract

Every human being has a different culture and self-identity. These differences can be adjusted through intercultural communication activities. This study discusses adjusting the language code in intercultural communication for students from Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) towards Javanese Culture within the Stikosa-AWS Campus which aims to find out how the process of adjusting the language code in intercultural communication for students from NTT who interact with Javanese people. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method in which to analyze data on cases that occur objects. The research subjects were five students from NTT, one of whom was born in Surabaya and lives near the Stikosa-AWS Campus. The results of this study indicate that verbal and nonverbal are used when adapting the language code between students from NTT to Javanese culture. A dialect is a verbal form that NTT students can adapt due to daily interactions. There are only slight differences in nonverbal forms such as gestures, expressions, accents, intonation, and tempo of NTT students who live in the Javanese ethnic area, namely, only body movements. The processes NTT students can go through with Javanese culture are assimilation and integration. NTT students and the surrounding Javanese community both assimilate without prejudice to each other to gain comfort and peace. The integration process is carried out by maintaining regional language codes but still interacting with each other. The attitude that must be possessed by NTT students and the Javanese community is to emphasize mutual tolerance.

Abstract

This research is a study that examines the influence of the communication style of BCA customer service Tidar sub-branch offices on the level of customer satisfaction. research uses quantitative methods, quantitative methods are defined as research methods used to examine certain populations or samples, data collection uses research instruments, data analysis is quantitative statistics, with the aim of testing the hypotheses that have been set. This study collected data by filling out the Google form technique. In providing satisfaction to BCA customers, customer service is the spearhead in serving customer complaints. Communication between customer service and customers is one of the important factors that can influence a customer's assessment of BCA. Interpersonal communication is one of the customer service efforts to achieve customer satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the two variables which is considered very strong, the conclusion is based on the correlation table used as an indicator of the strength and weakness between the two variables. It can also be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a significant influence of the communication style of BCA Tbk customer service at the Tidar Surabaya Sub-Branch Office on the level of customer service satisfaction.

Abstract

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2021 there will be an increase of 9,61% in the growth of the chemical, pharmaceutical and traditional medicine industry, especially in the production and sale of cosmetics. BSkin is present in Indonesia as a facial care product originating from Korea and competes with other facial care products. This study aims to analyze the marketing communication strategies that have been used by BSkin in an effort to increase brand awareness of their aesthetic products. In this study used a qualitative descriptive method. The results obtained from the research are that BSkin has carried out integrated marketing communication strategies to increase brand awareness of its products among the public, including using social media and digital media as marketing media, publishing on online media and print media, using promotional tools such as vouchers, catalogs, booklets, discount promos, free product promotions, sweepstakes, cashback, Instagram challenges, royalty rewards. BSkin also holds meetings and participates in large-scale beauty events to introduce BSkin to the public. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the strategy that has been carried out by BSkin has succeeded in getting people to know BSkin and making BSkin top of mind.

Abstract

Moral messages are an important part so that we can add knowledge about the value of life. Moral messages can be conveyed through means of communication, one of which is through mass media that are comprehensive for the community. Submission of information via YouTube can be done quickly, one of which is through Podcasts. This study aims to determine the contents of the moral message contained in the podcast from the perspective of Coki & Muslims about tolerance for diversity and sensitive comedy on YouTube "Menjadi Manusia". The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method using John Fiske's theory where in conducting this research it describes the emergency of tolerance in Indonesia which has resulted in persecution of Tretan and Coki contained in the podcast content and what moral message is contained therein. By conducting this research, the researchers found results that there is a lack of tolerance in Indonesia and the treatment of organizations, especially the persecution of certain parties they perceive as threats. Therefore, the researcher concludes that the younger generation must do something about this problem of tolerance according to their respective capacities and not become a group that just stays silent and allows intolerance to occur.

Abstract

Semiotic Analysis of Self-Confidence Communication in the Lyrics of "Tutur Batin" by Yura Yunita using Charles Sanders Pierce's triadic approach to identify the meaning of self-confidence in the lyrics. This study aims to elucidate how the meaning of self-confidence is conveyed in the song lyrics based on Pierce's first, second, and third trichotomies. The analysis results indicate that the song "Tutur Batin" conveys messages about the importance of moral values, self-acceptance, and the freedom to be oneself. Semiotic analysis in this research provides a profound understanding of the meaning of self-confidence in the song lyrics and its relevance to the social context.

Abstract

Keberadaan beberapa film yang mengusung tema disabilitas diharapkan bisa membangun kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya kesetaraan hak-hak kelompok minoritas khususnya kelompok disabilitas di berbagai bidang kehidupan. Adanya representasi yang keliru mampu mengakibatkan munculnya berbagai permasalahan yang akan dirasakan oleh para penyandang disabilitas. Selain itu, dalam setiap film juga sudah pasti dilengkapi dengan pesan moral karena sejatinya kehidupan manusia itu tidak akan bisa lepas dari nila-nilai moral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi dan pesan moral yang terkandung dalam film Dancing In The Rain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode ini lebih menekankan pada penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dan lebih menekankan pada analisis informasi yang mendetail. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis semiotika milik Roland Barthes. Adapun data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer bersumber dari film dan data sekunder bersumber dari sumber literature seperti jurnal, artikel, skripsi, buku, situs serta sumber lain yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di lingkungan masyarakat keberadaan penyandang disabilitas direpresentasikan sebagai kondisi yang tidak normal atau abnormal. Sedangkan, pesan moral yang terkandung dalam film ada tiga yakni pesan non diskriminasi, pesan persahabatan serta pesan ketulusan atau keikhlasan.

Abstract

Advertising is part of communication, because basically advertising is a message delivery process, where the message contains information about a product, both goods and services. When viewed from the purpose of making advertisements, advertisements are divided into commercial and non-commercial advertisements. One form of non-commercial advertising is public service advertisements. Public service advertisements generally contain messages about national awareness, humanity, health, education and the environment. This is used by a number of institutions and business entities in Indonesia to campaign for a program or activity or convey information to the public. As has been done by the Central Statistics Agency in campaigning for the 2020 Population Census by releasing a public service advertisement entitled Interview Population Census or Online? on television. This study aims to determine the meaning of the message contained in this service advertisement on television. This study uses a qualitative approach with the semiotic analysis method of Charles Sanders Pierce which in the process of analysis uses a triangle of meaning model which consists of sign, object and interpretant. Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that the public service advertisement entitled Interview Population Census or Online? on television has the meaning of the message that the Central Statistics Agency will conduct the 2020 Population Census with interviews and online as a form of understanding from the Central Statistics Agency towards the diverse characters of Indonesian society.

Abstract

The Semiotic Analysis of the Meaning of the Messages of the Lyrics of the Song "Pilu Membiru", "Rehat", and "Sulung" by Kunto Aji was written and researched using semiotic theory according to Ferdinand de Saussure to reveal the meaning and message of the lyrics of the song by singer Kunto Aji entitled Pilu Membiru, Rest, and Eldest. The song is contained in Kunto Aji's second album entitled MantraMantra, where the presence of this album is intended to self-healing the listeners so that they can interpret life positively. The subject of the research is Kunto Aji as a singer. The data collection technique used in this research is qualitative analysis, the data obtained from the analysis of lyrics according to Ferdinand de Saussure's theory, which will then provide an overview of the meaning of the message contained in the lyrics of the song. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the three songs of Kunto Aji in the MantraMantra album have a message not to give up in life and always think positively. The three songs are also delivered in the same pattern,which is repetitive to instill the meaning of the lyrics in the listener's subconscious.

Abstract

The research is entiled “Moral Message In Animated Film Nussa and Rara on Youtube Episode 1-15” which aims to find out the moral message in the film Nussa and Rara. The research method used was descriptive quantitative content analysis, namely analysis to describe in detail the scenes contained in the film “Nussa and Rara” with the Pro Social indicators proposed by Wisped and Bandura, this theory states that the Pro Social sub-indicators are selfless, helpful, warm, cooperative, empathetic, praising, advising, regret, politeness, and the Anti Social sub-indicators, namely threats, coercion, war, fighting, insulting, cursing, betrayal, disobedience, sneaking, angry and lying. In analyzing the data, the researscher acts directly as a coder who filss in the coding with the help of 2 other coders who act as comparators/judges. The results showed that Pro Social was greater, namely 93% than Anti Social, which was 7%. Of all the Pro Social sub indicators that have the most points, namely advising from coder 1 points 100%, coder 2 point 100%, coder 3 87%, while the Anti Social sub-indicators is angry from coder 1 points 20%, coder 2 points 7%, coder 3 13%. The results suggest that Pro Social is more dominant is advising, whereas Anti Social is more dominant is angry. It can be concluded that Nussa and Rara films have a more Pro Social tendency.
