Abstract

Hotel industry has been predicted to enjoy significant increase in occupancy in 2023 following the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is definitely the case for hotels in Bali, which has experienced a considerable progress after the outbreak was announced to be over. Therefore, the companies need to upgrade the performance of the employees to respond to the escalating demand. Two of the factors that affect employee performance are training and workplace environment. This research attempts to analyze the influence of training and workplace environment on employee performance at Melia Hotel in Bali. The respondents of this quantitative explanatory research were selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 163 employees. The data was harvested via Likert-scaled questionnaires and was analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 26. The results of the t test indicate that training significantly influences employee performance. Then, workplace environment indicating its significant impact on employee performance. Finally, training and workplace environment simultaneously affect employee performance.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to identify the partial effects of workload and job stress on burnout among health workers at the Gambiran Regional Public Hospital of Kediri City and to identify which variable that is more dominant in affecting the burnout. This quantitative study is categorized as explanatory research, in which the hypothesis testing was used to identify the effects of the independent variable, i.e., workload (X1) and job stress (X2), on the dependent variable, i.e., burnout (Y). Using 52 people as the respondents and multiple linear regression for the hypothesis testing, this study finds that workload positively and significantly influences burnout and that job stress does not influence burnout. Furthermore, the variable that has a more dominant impact on burnout (Y) is workload (X1). Therefore, it is suggested that Gambiran Regional Public Hospital of Kediri City pay more attention on the workload of its health workers in order to reduce burnout and to keep the job stress level of its health workers minimum.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job stress as variables influencing employees' intention to leave the organization at Warung Cak Muk Restaurant in Mojokerto. This study is a quantitative research that draws conclusions based on statistically testing hypotheses. The research method employed is a survey method using a questionnaire as a tool to collect data from respondents. A sample of 60 respondents was taken using non-probability sampling techniques. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study involved multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25.0 data processing software. The results of the tests indicate a negative and significant impact of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on employees' intention to leave the organization. Meanwhile, job stress positively and significantly influences employees' intention to leave the organization. With these findings, it is expected that Warung Cak Muk Restaurant can develop strategies and plans to address the high level of employees' intention to leave the organization, thereby saving on significant operational costs.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of leadership style and work load on the job satisfaction of employees working in the General Service Department of Bungo Regency Office. The population of this quantitative explanatory research consists of 98 people. Since census sampling was used, all of them were selected as the respondents. The research instruments were assessed using validity and reliability tests. The research data was evaluated through classical assumption consisting of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests before being analyzed using multiple linear regression. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t test, F test, and coefficient of determination test. The results show that leadership style and work load significantly influence employee job satisfaction. Further, the adjusted R-squared value of 0.821 indicates that the effects of leadership style and work load on employee job satisfaction is 82.1%. Hence, the remaining 17.9% of the influence is explained by other variables other than leadership style and work load.

Abstract

As age develops, business challenges escalate, and business environmental changes become more dynamic. These conditions require MSMEs to be more adaptive in applying strategies aimed at maintaining competitive advantages and boosting business performance. The objective of this quantitative research is to elucidates the causal relationship between its variables through hypothesis testing. Using purposive sampling, 55 owners of MSMEs that are still active in their sales and production during the research period were selected as the respondents. The data was harvested from questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 25. The results prove that managerial skill and dynamic capability partially have significant impacts on the business performance of the said MSMEs and that managerial skills and dynamic capabilities simultaneously pose some effects on the enterprises’ business performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that most of the MSME owners are capable of managing their business although it is not accomplished regularly and in a structured way. They also can apply the dynamic capability strategy well as their effort of overcoming the dynamic business environmental changes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of training, competency, and work motivation on the employees performance of PT Tangguh Karya Unggul Contraktor. The success or failure of a company in achieving success depends greatly on the ability of human resources to carry out the orders given by the company. Apart from that, human resources have an important role in realizing the goals of an organization. The population of this research is all employees of PT. Tangguh Karya Unggul Contraktor, numbering 115 people. The sampling method used is the saturated sampling method, where the number of samples is the same as the population. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The primary data for this research was distributed through questionnaires to 115 PT employee respondents. The resilience of Superior Works is measured using a Likert scale measuring instrument. The results of this research show that training, competence, and work motivation partially and simultaneously have a positive effect.

Abstract

Warung Pitu is a coffee shop in Malang City that sells hot and cold beverages, meals, and snacks. Although it has been established since 2018, its progress is still sub-optimal, and the management is still hampered by obstacles in running the business. Poor experience and planning are believed to be the cause, and they are the background of this research. The objective of this study is to analyze the internal and the external factors of the coffee shop, from which the correct business strategy can be derived. The formulation of the strategy was conducted by performing analyses on IFE-EFE matrices, SWOT matrix, and QSPM. This research uses primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data gathered from journals, books, documents, and other references. This study finds that the most appropriate strategy for Warung Pitu is market penetration by referring to the TAS score of 5.07.   Abstrak Warung Pitu ialah sebuah warung kopi yang menjajakan minuman panas serta dingin hingga makanan berat serta ringan yang berlokasi di wilayah Kota Malang. Bisnis yang telah berjalan dari tahun 2018 ini belum banyak mengalami kemajuan yang berarti serta masih banyak mengalami kendala dalam menjalankan bisnisnya. Kurangnya pengalaman serta perencanaan matang menjadi beberapa penyebab dari permasalahan yang dialami oleh Warung Pitu. Adanya permasalahan yang terjadi menjadi latar belakang dari penelitian ini. Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis lingkungan internal serta eksternal Warung Pitu guna merumuskan suatu strategi bisnis yang tepat. Perumusan strategi yang tepat melalui alat analisis Matriks IFE-EFE, SWOT, dan Matriks QSPM diharapkan dapat menghasilkan strategi yang menunjang bisnis Warung Pitu. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah data primer yang didapatkan melalui wawancara dan data sekunder yang didapatkan melalui jurnal, buku, dokumen, serta referensi lain. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang tepat untuk diimplementasikan oleh Warung Pitu adalah strategi penetrasi pasar merujuk pada skor TAS sebesar 5,07.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to recommend a business plan that can be applied for the Giftous business in the future to develop business more optimally. Doing business planning analysis using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach. The qualitative methods, in which the research is carried out by understanding phenomena or problems in the objects studied naturally and providing descriptive explanations. Using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach, researchers analyze business implementation with nine main blocks. Based on these findings, an analysis of the company's internal and external environmental factors was carried out using a SWOT analysis. In this study using triangulation techniques to test the credibility of the data with 3 methods, namely interviews, field observations and documentation. The results of the research show that it is necessary to develop a new business model or commonly called the Future Business Model Canvas for the Giftous business.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi perencanaan bisnis bagi bisnis Giftous kedepannya untuk melakukan pengembangan bisnis lebih maksimal. Melakukan analisis perencanaan bisnis dengan menggunakan pendekatan Business Model Canvas (BMC). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan metode kualitatif, dimana penelitian dilakukan dengan memahami fenomena atau permasalahan pada obyek yang diteliti secara alami dan melakukan penjelasan secara deskriptif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Business Model Canvas (BMC), peneliti menganalisis penerapan bisnis dengan sembilan blok utama. Dalam hasil temuan tersebut dilakukan analisis faktor lingkungan internal dan juga eksternal perusahaan dengan analisis SWOT. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi teknik untuk menguji kredibilitas data dengan 3 metode yaitu wawancara, observasi ke lapangan dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlu dilakukan penyusunan model bisnis baru atau biasa disebut Future Business Model Canvas untuk bisnis Giftous.

Abstract

Cafe has become a lifestyle for some groups of people. However, there are many cafe businesses that are not successful, or at least failing to reach their business goals. The number of cafes that have to stop their operation not long after their opening is also high. This condition highlights the importance of innovations for cafe owners to help them recognize their business’ advantage over their competitors, in addition to appropriate strategies. This replication study uses variables, indicators, objects, and analytical instruments that have been used by past research. A simple regression analysis was applied to assess the dependent variable, in this case competitive advantage, and the independent variable, which is innovation. The results of the simple regression analysis show that innovation can influence competitive advantage by 43.1%, so the hypothesis (H1) and the F test are accepted, that is the indicator of the independent variable is able to influence the dependent variable, which is competitive advantage. Based on the finding above, cafe owners need to innovate in order to create some competitive advantages over their competitors. Such advantages can help them focus on the desired market segment and focus on products and services that can be easily differentiated. In addition, the competitive advantage can help the cafe owners make more efficient expenses for their business and marketing process.   Abstrak Kafe sudah menjadi gaya hidup bagi sebagian masyarakat, selain itu pelaku bisnis kafe tidak dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses. karena baru saja membuka kafe tetapi kafe tersebut harus terpaksa tutup bahkan jumlah pelaku usaha kafe yang menutup usahanya jumlahnya tidak sedikit, sehingga agar strategi yang dilakukan jelasi perlu diimbangi dengan inovasi-inovasi baru agar pemilik kafe mengetahui keunggulan pada pesaingnya. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian replikasi. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan mengadopsi variabel, indikator, objek penelitian, atau alat analisis yang sama dengan penelitian sebelumnya, pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana untuk menguji variabel dependen yaitu keunggulan bersaing dan variabel independent yaitu variabel inovasi. Berdasarkan data penelitian pada uji regresi sederhana bahwa inovasi dapat mempengaruhi keunggulan bersaing sebesar 43,1%, sehingga hipotesa (H1) dan uji F diterima,yaitu indikator variabel independent mampu mempengaruhi variabel dependent yai   tu keunggulan bersaing.  Pemilik kafe harus berinovasi agar tercipta keunggulan atas pesaing. keunggulan bersaing membuat pemilik kafe dapat fokus pada segmentasi pasar yang ingin dicapai, para pemilik kafe dapat fokus menyediakan produk dan layanan yang dapat dibedakan dengan mudah. Begitupun Manfaat keunggulan bersaing pada pemilik kafe adalah Pengeluaran anggaran untuk proses kerja bisnis dan marketing menjadi lebih efisien.
