Abstract

The objective of this research is to explain the effects of self-efficacy and emotional quotient on the career adaptability of students of Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Brawijaya batch of 2020 who are writing their minor thesis with the moderation of parental support. Using probability sampling, 90 people were selected as the sample of this explanatory research. the data was harvested through Likert-scaled questionnaires, processed and analyzed in SPSS version 25. This study finds that (1) self-efficacy and emotional quotient simultaneously have significant effects on the students’ career adaptability, (2) that self-efficacy significantly influences the students’ career adaptability, (3) that emotional quotient significantly affects the students’ career adaptability, and that (4) parental support does not moderate the effects of both self-efficacy and emotional quotient on the students’ career adaptability. In addition, this research results in the coefficient of determination of 64% on the career adaptability of students of Faculty of Economics and Business batch of 2020 who are writing their minor thesis.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh efikasi diri dan kecerdasan emosional yang dimoderasi oleh dukungan orang tua terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa Angkatan 2020 Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Brawijaya yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian explanatory research yang menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu probability sampling. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 90 orang dan menggunakan SPSS versi 25 dalam mengolah dan menganalisis data, dengan menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Efikasi diri dan kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa, (2) Efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa, (3) Kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa, (4) Dukungan orang tua tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh efikasi diri maupun kecerdasan emosional terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan hasil koefisien determinasi sebesar 64,8% terhadap adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa Angkatan 2020 Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis yang sedang menyusun skripsi.

Abstract

The objective of this quantitative causal research is to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the effects of work stress on work engagement. This study was conducted due to the gap phenomenon in the research subject, PT INKA Multi Solusi. The results of the past annual survey demonstrate a decreasing trend in work engagement and job satisfaction despite the decreasing work stress level. Using Slovin formula, the number of the sample was set to 100 respondents; they were selected through simple random sampling from five departments representing all directorates. The departments are Information Technology, Cooling System & Non-Train, Company Secretary, Logistics, and Risk Management. The research data was harvested via questionnaires and was analyzed using Partial Least Squares in SmartPLS. This study finds that (1) work stress insignificantly influences work engagement, (2) that work stress negatively and significantly impacts job satisfaction, (3) that job satisfaction positively and significantly affects work engagement, and that (4) job satisfaction mediates the effect of work stress on work engagement. This study offers a deeper understanding about the mechanism of influence between the variables through the perspective of Job Demands-Resource Theory (JD-R). The practical implication of this research is that the company must focus on job satisfaction first so that work stress can be contained in order to increase work engagement.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of compensation, health and safety at work, as well as job insecurity on the job satisfaction levels of GrabBike partners in the city of Malang. Employing a quantitative approach, data was collected through a structured questionnaire. A sample of 154 GrabBike partners in Malang was selected. The research findings reveal that Compensation (X1) has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.611 (t = 6.036, significance = 0.000). Similarly, Health and Safety at Work (X2) also have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.560 (t = 7.176, significance = 0.000). On the other hand, Job Insecurity (X3) does not significantly affect job satisfaction, as indicated by a regression coefficient of -0.130 (t = -1.839, significance = 0.068). In conclusion, improving compensation and addressing health and safety concerns can enhance the job satisfaction of GrabBike partners in Malang. Meanwhile, job insecurity (Job Insecurity) demonstrates a statistically insignificant influence on job satisfaction. These findings can serve as valuable guidance for companies seeking to enhance the well-being of driver-partners.   Abstrak Penelitian ini menginvestigasi dampak kompensasi, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, serta ketidakamanan kerja terhadap tingkat kepuasan kerja mitra GrabBike di Kota Malang. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur. Sampel sebanyak 154 mitra GrabBike di Kota Malang. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa Kompensasi (X1) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0.611 (t = 6.036, signifikansi = 0.000), Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (X2) juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0.560 (t = 7.176, signifikansi = 0.000) Job Insecurity (X3) berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan koefisien regresi sebesar -0.130 (t = -1.839, signifikansi = 0.068). Sebagai kesimpulan, peningkatan kompensasi dan perhatian terhadap kesehatan serta keselamatan kerja dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja mitra GrabBike di Kota Malang. Sedangkan ketidakamanan kerja (Job Insecurity) menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak signifikan secara statistik terhadap kepuasan kerja. Temuan ini dapat menjadi panduan berharga bagi perusahaan yang ingin meningkatkan kesejahteraan mitra pengemudi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational commitment, leadership, and organizational culture on organizational performance at the Malang State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL). The type of research used in this research is explanatory research, and the sample used is all organizations working in KPKNL Malang. The sample consists of 42 people who meet the requirements, namely employees with positions equivalent to middle to high level managers. The data used is primary data derived from a questionnaire using a five-point Rikert scale. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS version 26 software. The results of this study indicate that organizational commitment, leadership, and organizational culture have a significant influence on organizational performance in KPKNL Malang. This research suggests that the organization, in this case the KPKNL, can maintain and improve the quality of the organizational commitment possessed by the organizations, the quality of the leadership and the quality of the organizational culture they have.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komitmen organisasi, kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja organisasi pada Kantor Pelayanan Kekayaan Negara dan Lelang (KPKNL) Malang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksplanatori, dan sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh organisasi yang bekerja di KPKNL Malang. Sampel terdiri dari 42 orang yang memenuhi syarat yaitu pegawai dengan jabatan yang setara dengan manajer tingkat menengah hingga atas. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang berasal dari kuisioner dengan menggunakan Skala Rikert lima poin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi, kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifian terhadap kinerja organisasi yang berada di KPKNL Malang. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar organisasi dalam hal ini KPKNL untuk dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas dari komitmen organisasi yang dimiliki oleh para organisasi, kualitas kepemimpinan dan kualitas dari budaya organisasi yang dimiliki.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze and explain the effects of the quality of working life, career development, and employee empowerment on the job satisfaction of employees of PT Penamas Nusaprima. This explanatory research uses the quantitative approach to assess the causal relationship between its dependent and independent variables. From the population of 1237 employees of PT Penamas Nusaprima, 120 people were selected as the respondents through probability sampling method and simple random sampling technique. The data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression supported by instrument test, classical assumption test, and statistics test. The hypotheses were tested using t test in order to identify the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. All of the assessments were performed in IBM SPSS 27. This study finds that quality of working life, career development, and employee empowerment positively and significantly affect job satisfaction. Therefore, the higher the employees’ quality of working life, career development, and empowerment, the higher their job satisfaction.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan pengaruh kualitas kehidupan kerja, pengembangan karir, dan pemberdayaan karyawan terhadap kepuasan kerja pada karyawan PT Penamas Nusaprima. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksplanatori dengan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menguji hubungan kausalitas antarvariabel independen dan dependen. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 120 karyawan yang diambil dari populasi sebanyak 1237 karyawan PT Penamas Nusaprima. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan metode simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda yang ditunjang dengan uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji statistik. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji t untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen melalui program IBM SPSS 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kehidupan kerja, pengembangan karir, dan pemberdayaan karyawan masing-masing berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi kualitas kehidupan kerja, pengembangan karir, dan pemberdayaan karyawan, maka akan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan.

Abstract

BAZNAS (the National Board of Zakat of the Republic of Indonesia) of X City applies a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015 as its commitment to improve the administration quality of ZIS (zakat, infaq, and sadaqah) fund and DSKL (other religious social funds). The efforts of meeting the standard are aimed at increasing the trust of both muzakki and mustahik and carrying out an integrated information documenting process. The objective of this research is to analyze and identify the application, benefit, and obstacles of the ISO 9001:2015-based quality management system in BAZNAS of X City. The data of this qualitative case study was harvested from interviews and documentation. The results of the analysis demonstrate that BAZNAS of X City has applied the ten clauses of ISO 9001:2015 standard requirements. The implementation of ISO 9001:2015 has benefited the institution by enabling the acquisition of quality standards in delivering products and services to the customers, the ease in data tracing, and the minimization of risks. However, the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 is still hampered by the low human resource quantity and quality, which hinders the documentation process and the implementation of the said quality management system.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the effects of perceived risk and electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on purchase decision with trust as the mediating variable and Dust La Stella, a clothing brand, as the object. This study uses primary data obtained from questionnaires, which were distributed to 118 people who have purchased the product of the brand as the respondents. The results of the analysis using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling demonstrate that perceived risk significantly and negatively influences the purchase decision, that e-WOM positively and significantly affects the purchase decision, and that trust positively and significantly influences the purchase decision. Furthermore, perceived risk negatively and significantly impacts trust, and trust does not mediate the impact of e-WOM and perceived risk on the purchase decision.

Abstract

The growth of honey industry in Indonesia has motivated the presence of businesses that sell pure honey products from acacia forest in Jambi province. The objective of this research is to analyze the prospect of the company’s business using a business planning study. The object of this qualitative descriptive research is acacia honey. The credibility of the research data was assessed using the triangulation technique, which consists of three methods; they are interview, field observation, and documentation. The results of the analysis suggest that developments in all functional aspects are required in order to face the business competition in Jambi. Based on the analysis, an illustration regarding a promising honey business was acquired, but the competition level remains high. The financial design demonstrates that the company has the potential of becoming a profitable business. The prediction of honey market in Indonesia has projected an increasing trend of sales from year to year. Therefore, the company must always be responsive to changes and strive for innovations in order to maintain its business and achieve its sustainability.   Abstrak Tumbuhnya industri madu di Indonesia memotivasi hadirnya Bisnis yang menjual produk madu murni dari hutan akasia yang berasal dari provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prospek usaha madu akasia menggunakan studi perencanaan bisnis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif pada obyek penelitian Madu Akasia. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan triangulasi teknik untuk menguji kredibilitas data dengan 3 metode. Metode tersebut antara lain wawancara, observasi ke lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu dilakukan pengembangan seluruh aspek fungsional dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis di Jambi. Melalui analisa tersebut didapatkan gambaran bisnis madu yang sangat menjanjikan namun dengan tingkat persaingan yang sangat tinggi. Rancangan keuangan menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan memiliki potensi untuk menjadi bisnis yang menguntungkan. Proyeksi penjualan didasarkan pada prediksi pasar madu di Indonesia yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Perusahaan harus selalu responsif terhadap perubahan dan inovasi agar dapat mempertahankan bisnis dan mencapai keberlanjutan usaha.

Abstract

The number of job applicants in Indonesia far exceeds the available vacancies. This condition creates competitions among the job seekers, so prospective job providers consider several factors that can attract them or increase their intention, particularly the alumni of Universitas Brawijaya to apply. The objective of this research is to identify the effects of employer branding, social media, and corporate reputation on the intention of Universitas Brawijaya’s alumni to apply for jobs. This explanatory research elucidates the causal relationship between its dependent and independent variables through hypothesis testing. Using purposive technique, 90 people were selected as the respondents. The data analysis was performed through multiple linear regression in SPSS version 27. The results of the finding led to conclusions that employer branding, and social positively and significantly influence the intention to apply for jobs and that corporate reputation positively yet insignificantly affects the intention to apply for jobs. The results of the study can provide considerations regarding employer branding, social media, and corporate reputation in companies that Brawijaya University alumni want to apply for.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there was no specific method for managing raw material inventory at YY Kebab which resulted in high ordering costs due to the ordering frequency being too high and raw materials not being used optimally. This research uses the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method which will provide an overview of the optimal order quantity, optimal purchase frequency, safety stock and re-order point. The aim of this research is to know raw material inventory control processes with actual conditions and the influence of Economic Order Quantity method implementation on the total of raw materials inventory costs at YY Kebab. Data collection was carried out using observation and interview techniques, while the data analysis method used was the Economic Order Quantity method taking into account TIC (Total Inventory Cost), safety stock, reorder frequency, and ROP (Re-Order Point). The research results show that using the Economic Order Quantity method can reduce total inventory costs by a specific amount when compared to the actual method.
