Abstract

In the context of efficient bureaucracy governance and workflow processes, integrating the activities of the West Java Provincial DPRD leadership into social media represents a strategic step. This research aims to analyze how workflow processes and bureaucracy governance can be optimized through the use of social media to integrate the activities of the West Java Provincial DPRD leadership. The research method employed is descriptive analysis, collecting data from various relevant sources. Findings from this research indicate that the use of social media can enhance the effectiveness and responsiveness in bureaucratic workflow processes, as well as provide broader access to the public regarding information and activities conducted by the West Java Provincial DPRD leadership. The implications of this research provide a basis for the development of more efficient and targeted communication strategies in the context of bureaucracy governance in the West Java Provincial DPRD.

Abstract

Poverty has become a common problem that is being faced by developing countries in particular. Poverty is caused by several factors such as lack of employment opportunities, insufficient salaries to meet living needs and low quality of life of the community. Women who are the backbone of the family are the ones who feel the most impact. Therefore, this empowerment program is focused on helping to improve the economic welfare of female heads of families by providing business capital in the Bekasi area, West Java. The method implemented in this empowerment program is PAR (Participatory Action Research), which can help students to be actively involved in the empowerment process from finding partners, stakeholders, designing programs, etc. The results of this empowerment program showed that although Mrs. Asih had experienced a decrease in income because she had not sold at her stall for a long time, Mrs. Asih earned an income that could meet her daily needs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower underprivileged families, particularly focusing on women as heads of households, through business capital assistance. The study uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to identify and support needy families in lower-middle economic environments. The team selected three families, with Mrs. Sarinah chosen as the primary beneficiary due to her urgent needs. Mrs. Sarinah, a skilled cook, struggled to start a business due to insufficient capital and debt burdens. The program provided her with funds and resources to establish a small stall selling "Pecel, Jus, and Various Drinks" in East Jakarta. The process included fundraising, purchasing necessary items, and continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure the business's success and sustainability. The program has successfully increased Mrs. Sarinah's family income, proving the effectiveness of the empowerment initiative. This case study highlights how targeted support and collaborative efforts can significantly improve the welfare of underprivileged families, enabling them to achieve economic independence and better living conditions.

Abstract

Of course, to encourage economic development in people's lives, there must be a sense of independence that arises from the community itself. Family is the smallest area in human life. Poverty is still a worrying problem in society, especially on poor households. Of course, strengthening poor families requires an increase in economic independence so that the resulting impact can last. This empowerment uses the Y-PAR method that allows students to actively build their knowledge by identifying, exploring, and addressing social issues through collaborative activities with poor families. This empowerment is a program from the Kemuhammadiyahan Course of Muhammadiyah Prof.Dr.Hamka University which is carried out in the Cipinang area, East Jakarta, and this empowerment is carried out for Mr. Mulyana's family as a partner in advancing economic independence. thanks to this empowerment, the family Mr. Mulyana started a traveling coffee business, making Mr. Mulyana's family financially independent

Abstract

The community empowerment approach is a major factor in policy-making to implement development that involves the community. As carried out by Diskumdag Batu City in the village in Batu City Malang which empowers its community through SMEs. In addition, Sidosermo Indah Surabaya Village also carried out a strategy to increase the potential of its village through a special needs community called "Tiara Handycraft". This research aims to compare the use of community empowerment approaches in Batu Malang City and Sidosermo Indah Village. This research uses a literature study research approach with the Systematic Literature Review method. Primary data sources include journals and related studies, while secondary data comes from supporting books and e-books. The results showed that SME development and training conducted by Diskumdag Batu City were approved by the community. Meanwhile, the Tiara Handicraft business in Sidosermo Indah Village, Surabaya takes a self-help and technocratic approach that implements changes and reforms that start from an external action that imposes a program unilaterally, and carries out democratic principles based on the placement of humanist empowerment that recognizes the existence of humans as active and creative beings.

Abstract

This paper is the result and discussion of research and community service KKN-Thematic Halal 2024 which discusses the implementation of Halal Product Guarantee through Halal Certification carried out in UMKM in Bandung Regency. The analytical tool used is using Merilee S. Grindle’s Policy Implementation theory. The discussion is carried out by analyzing and describing the indicators of Policy Implementation theory according to Merilee S. Grindle which consists of policy content and implementation context, where success is determined by the degree of implementability of the policy. The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design. The aim to be achieved is to describe how the implementation of a policy from Halal Product Guarantee on Halal Certificates for Food and Beverage UMKM in Bandung Regency. The findings of this study are that Bandung Regency has implemented policies related to Halal Product Guarantee in the form of Halal Certificates of the Free Halal Certificate Program (SEHATI). With the Halal Certificate Policy, UMKM Food and Beverage Business Actors in Bandung Regency benefit from the need for Halal Product Guarantee on their products by having Business Identification Number (NIB), Halal Certificate, and Halal Sticker.

Abstract

Bendosari Village is one of several villages located in Kras District, Kediri Regency. In Bendosari Village, Kediri, there is a tofu production industry. The purpose of this research is to reveal how the empowerment of tofu pulp waste into economically valuable products in Bendosari Village, Kediri. In its processing, tofu must produce quite a lot of waste such as tofu pulp waste. If this waste is not managed, it will become pollution for the environment. However, tofu pulp waste can be utilized to become one of the raw materials in producing products of economic value, this is beneficial for the people of Bendosari Village. This research used a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results show that the empowerment process is in the form of training and coaching on how to turn tofu pulp into many products such as animal feed. This effort not only has a positive impact on the local economy, but also supports environmental sustainability by reducing wasted waste. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for the development of waste-based creative economy programs in other areas.

Abstract

The management of sources of infection becomes important once a pandemic begins, either through breaking the chain of disease spread or the use of drugs to reduce morbidity and mortality during the pandemic. However, the increasing changes in antibiotic use patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to new problems and disastrous impacts, such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic also has a major impact on the education sector; changes in everyone's attitude need to be made to maintain a healthy body, one of which is clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS). This education aims to educate parents about the rational use of antibiotics and improve knowledge and practice of PHBS in students in the pandemic era. The education was conducted using speech methods and brochure media in two elementary schools in Malang City. The results of this education showed an increase in audience understanding before and after the education, both regarding rational antibiotics and PHBS. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, the results of this education can be useful as a reference in the future, showing that the role and collaboration between the government, academics, and communities are needed to facilitate activities that can increase people's knowledge or understanding that may motivate them in behavior or decision-making.

Abstract

Fear of marriage is increasingly common among the younger generation due to the influence of social media and cultural stigma. This fear can prevent individuals from understanding the true meaning and essence of marriage. Therefore, a sharing session “Understanding the Role of a Spouse in a Household” was held. This activity aims to provide education about emotional, spiritual, and mental readiness in marriage, as well as changing the negative paradigm about marriage. The methods used included presentations, interactive discussion, and question and answer sessions, which were delivered in an interesting manner with the support of visual media. The results of this activity showed a more positive change in the participants’ perspective toward marriage, where they were able to understand their role as a partner and the importance of commitment in building a household. With this understanding, participants are expected to be able to undergo marriage with better readiness and awareness, and build a family that is Sakinah, Mawadah, and Warahmah.

Abstract

Every region has areas that are far from the centre of government or the centre of community activity. Geographical conditions and social differences are the cause of the difficulty of a region to keep up with the times. This has an impact on the lagging of the community in various aspects ranging from the economy, cultural advancement, health, education, and so on. Pulau Ketam is a disadvantaged area located in Malaysia. The area is a coastal region that has limited access to be improved in all fields. There needs to be an effort to encourage the promotion of the community to maintain the socio-culture in the area. international community service activities are one solution that can be done. The method used in this community service activity is to identify problems in the field. The data found is then analysed to find solutions in community service activities. Activities related to art that are applied as an approach to the community and make a contribution are carried out in the form of collaboration. Fine art is part of a visual product that can be a medium to enter the community on Ketam Island. Repainting facilities and infrastructure using attractive images, holding open exhibitions, and art workshops are examples of means to maintain the community, especially related to the socio-cultural field. This is done to encourage the openness of the community to continue to improve progress from various fields that can become potential.
