Abstract

Administration is a series of activities management processes to achieve the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational operations. In organizations such as the Bandung City General Election Commission (KPU), administration plays an important role in supporting the smooth running of democratic and transparent elections. One of the important parts of the Bandung City KPU is the Finance, General, and Logistics (KUL) Sub-Section, which is responsible for managing finances, general administration, and election logistics. This research was conducted qualitatively with a descriptive approach to support its observations. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation during the Field Activity Practice activities of the Public Administration Department of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The results of this study indicate that administrative management in the KUL Sub-Section is carried out in a structured, transparent, and procedural manner. Because in order to ensure that every administrative step runs effectively and supports operational needs optimally. However, the management system is still carried out manually so that the adoption of information technology is needed in administrative management, such as the implementation of a digital administration system to increase efficiency and minimize the risk of damage to administrative management.

Abstract

The sweet potato noodle-making workshop in Bonosari Village is a food diversification effort aimed at optimizing local resources while empowering the community economically. This program was implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, focusing on identifying village potential, collaborative planning with the community, and execution based on local strengths. The workshop engaged 30 participants from women's groups (PKK, KWT, and Muslimat), who received training on raw material selection, noodle-making techniques, and marketing strategies. The workshop results indicate that participants successfully acquired and applied the necessary skills for producing sweet potato noodles. Additionally, this program opened opportunities for the community to develop food-based enterprises. Despite challenges such as raw material availability and product marketing, continuous support from various stakeholders can ensure the program's sustainability. Therefore, this workshop is expected to serve as an initial step toward enhancing community skills, promoting food diversification, and fostering economic growth based on local potential.

Abstract

The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) report shows a very low literacy level in Indonesian people, ranking 72 out of 77, indicating a critical need for language improvement. Language and communication are integral to students' daily activities, yet many struggle with both verbal and non-verbal aspects of written language. A pre-survey conducted on 149 students in East Java revealed that 88.6% frequently encountered language errors. To address this issue, researchers launched the Gerakan Mahasiswa Berbahasa (Gema Bahasa), an initiative promoting language literacy through socialization and the development of a language pocketbook for university student organizations. This program, conducted from March to April 2024, involved 20 students. Results showed a significant increase in literacy knowledge, with pretest scores averaging 24.5 and post-test scores rising to 94 after intervention. All participants (100%) expressed the need for electronic books for easier access and distribution. This feedback was accommodated through a QR code linked to the digital version. However, further refinement of the Gema Bahasa Pocket Book is necessary, requiring collaboration with linguists and policymakers to enhance its content and effectiveness for broader implementation.

Abstract

Parenting has an important role in shaping the independence of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This study aims to analyze the parenting patterns applied at Rumah Layanan Autisme Semarang and its contribution to the development of children's independence with ASD. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews with five subjects of children with ASD and their parents or caregivers. The results showed that the parenting patterns applied varied, ranging from authoritarian, democratic, to a combination of both. Democratic parenting tends to be more effective in encouraging children's independence through a flexible and positive reinforcement-based approach. In contrast, authoritarian parenting that emphasizes strict discipline can hinder the development of children's initiative. Factors that influence the success of parenting include parents' level of understanding of ASD characteristics, consistency in parenting patterns, and a supportive environment. This research provides insights for parents, educators and practitioners in designing optimal parenting strategies to increase the independence of children with ASD.

Abstract

Sustainable waste management has become a major challenge in urban areas, including in Pondok Dayung, North Jakarta. The academic concern in this research relates to the low level of community awareness and the lack of effective regulations for environmentally friendly waste management. The purpose of this research is to strengthen legal regulations in waste management by using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes community empowerment in managing local resources. The methods used in this assistance involved a series of activities, starting with mapping local assets and understanding the challenges and potential within the community. The assistance was carried out over four months, with stages including situational analysis, designing community-based regulations, training and capacity building for the community, and evaluation of the implementation of these regulations. Throughout this process, active participation from the Pondok Dayung community was prioritized, ultimately resulting in a draft of waste management regulations based on local potential and community participation. The results of this activity showed an increase in community awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly waste management and the establishment of regulations that better support environmental sustainability. In conclusion, strengthening legal regulations accompanied by community empowerment can create more effective and sustainable waste management.

Abstract

The second Emergency Medical Team (EMT) mission of the Indonesian Red Crescent (BSMI) to Gaza aimed to deliver direct healthcare services and medical knowledge transfer during armed conflict. A multidisciplinary team (4 specialist physicians and 1 dentist) implemented an integrative service-learning approach over 16 days (17 April – 2 May 2025) at Al Nasser Hospital, Khan Younis, through three strategies: (1) emergency medical services, (2) resident/intern education mentoring, and (3) stem cell therapy for wound care. The team managed 287 emergency cases (42% fractures, 28% deliveries, 30% infections) and trained 23 local medical staff. Key challenges included medical equipment shortages (67% unmet needs) and security instability. The service-learning collaboration effectively enhanced crisis response capacity. Urgent recommendations include: opening humanitarian corridors, sustaining team rotations, and advancing medical diplomacy.

Abstract

The institutional stagnation of BUMDes Bina Margaasih stems from the absence of key legal components, including the deed of establishment, statutes/bylaws (AD/ART), and other formal documents. This lack of legal foundation limits the BUMDes’ ability to access partnerships, funding, and public legitimacy. This community service initiative aimed to support the legal establishment of BUMDes through a participatory approach rooted in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, the project fostered collaboration among village authorities, BUMDes administrators, village facilitators, academics, and students. The process involved identifying institutional needs, drafting legal documents such as village regulations (Perdes), bylaws (AD/ART), and a business plan, and completing the official registration through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights system. The results indicate that the participatory approach significantly enhanced the village’s institutional capacity, accelerated the legalization process, and produced regulation-compliant documents. The issuance of the BUMDes Bina Margaasih legal entity certificate by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights marked the success of the initiative. This legal status provides a critical foundation for achieving transparent, accountable, and sustainable village economic governance

Abstract

The world is currently transitioning to an information society. Indonesia must adapt to these changes to avoid being left behind by global progress if it fails to transform and respond to developments in information technology. Because information technology is developing rapidly, information, data, and knowledge can be created very quickly and disseminated worldwide and across all levels of society within seconds. This means that anyone can communicate directly with anyone else on the planet without the need for intermediaries or mediation. The focus of the Pameuntasan Village Apparatus Capacity Building Program in the Use of Digital Signatures is to improve employee skills in utilizing digital signature technology in public service administration processes. The challenges faced by partners include: not all employees have basic knowledge of digital technology, which makes it difficult for them to use digital signatures effectively; lack of software or systems that can effectively integrate digital signatures, which hinders administrative processes; and a lack of understanding of how digital signatures function to maintain data security and how to prevent potential misuse, which can hinder their implementation. As a result of the PKM (Community Service Program), it is expected that Pameuntasan Village Apparatus will have a better understanding of digital signature technology and be able to use it confidently in carrying out administrative tasks. This includes understanding how to digitally sign documents and integrating them into the village administration system. The use of digital signatures will accelerate administrative processes in the village, reduce reliance on physical documents, and expedite the approval of letters, permits, and other important documents.

Abstract

In today's digital era, digital literacy skills are a primary need for the younger generation, including in rural areas. However, youth from the Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) in Pameuntasan Village still tend to be passive consumers of social media, failing to utilize it creatively and productively. Meanwhile, the village's potential—including culture, tourism, and social activities—has not been optimally utilized as digital content. Therefore, a program is needed to encourage youth to become "Smart Vloggers," namely creators of intelligent, positive, and locally-based content. The problems faced by partners include low critical digital literacy among village youth, a lack of knowledge and skills in creating creative and informative vlog content, and the lack of digital media to promote village potential. The targeted outputs of the solution are increased knowledge, understanding, and skills about the importance of digital literacy through Smart Vlogger Creativity Development for Karangtaruna (Karta) youth in Pameuntasan Village, Kutawaringin District, Bandung Regency, and strengthening community social institutions to create an independent and productive generation. The results of PKM, Pemuda Karta and Kompepar in Pameuntasan Village, Kutawaringin District, Bandung Regency are expected to be able to know, understand, and use digital media literacy skills safely in updating writing on the platforms they create. Able to become Smart Vloggers to strengthen community social institutions in promoting the potential of their villages.
