Abstract

Liturgical activities are the center of the Church’s faith life and serve as the primary means of fostering the faith of Catholic communities. However, many parish outstation members still require guidance regarding the order of the Eucharistic Celebration, the roles of liturgical ministers, and the enrichment of liturgical music. This community service activity was carried out at St. Christopher Delawau Outstation, Christ the King Gido Parish, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, by the Dian Mandala Choir group. The purpose of this activity was to introduce the proper order of the Eucharistic Celebration, to socialize Latin Ordinarium songs, and to build a spirit of fraternity in faith. The methods used included the Eucharistic Celebration, liturgical practice, choir training, demonstrations of liturgical duties, and fraternal interaction. The results of the activity indicated improved understanding among the faithful regarding the Eucharistic Celebration, enhanced skills in liturgical ministries (conductor, lector, psalmist, homilist), and the development of emotional closeness as fellow believers. This community service demonstrates that practice-based and dialogical approaches have a positive impact on strengthening the quality of liturgy among outstation communities.

Abstract

This study analyzes and describes the multidimensional role of Catholic religious educators as a determining factor in innovating a conducive learning environment for academic achievement and the development of students' creativity. This study was conducted at SD Negeri 101856 Gunung Rintih, involving Catholic religious educators, homeroom teachers, students, and the principal as research subjects, using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation collection. The findings of this study indicate that professional teachers who understand the essence of learning creativity have the strategic capacity to innovate a dynamic and inspiring learning environment through the implementation of their integrative roles as educators, teachers, mentors, creativity motivators, and counselors. The implementation of this role has been proven to foster a creative learning climate, as seen in increased active participation, courage to present ideas, frequency of questions, and willingness to take intellectual risks among students. The implication is that the integrative role of teachers is key to stimulating creativity and academic achievement. Therefore, to optimize and maintain these achievements, continuous professional development is needed to transform this positive dynamic into a culture of sustainable learning quality in the school environment.

Abstract

Jesus’ declaration “I am the gate” in John 10:7-9 is a rich theological metaphor that holds significant meaning for both Christological reflection and contemporary pastoral ministry. This article aims to examine the meaning of this statement through a biblical exegetical approach and pastoral theology. The research employs a qualitative method based on literary analysis, including a study of the Greek text and a contextual reading of the Gospel of John. The findings indicate that the metaphor of the “gate” emphasizes Jesus’ identity as the sole way to salvation and as the source of abundant life for believers. Moreover, this image highlights Christ’s pastoral function in granting access to a living relationship between God and humanity while providing protection and guidance for His flock. The pastoral implications of this text invite church ministers to imitate Christ as the gate by fostering openness, offering spiritual security, and promoting a liberating form of pastoral care. Thus, John 10:7–9 not only conveys profound theological insights but also offers a relevant pastoral paradigm for the Church’s mission in the contemporary context.
