The purpose of this study was to explore the community's need for emergency nursing services during the covid 19 pandemic. The research design was qualitative with in-depth interview data collection methods on 6 participants. The sample was selected according to the inclusion criteria, namely people who can speak Indonesian properly and correctly and people who have experienced emergency conditions during the pandemic. Researchers as the main instrument in the study and interview guides as a reference for questions. The results of the interviews will be written in the form of transcripts and then analyzed using thematic analysis methods to obtain research themes. From the results of data analysis obtained 2 research themes. The first theme is the need to strengthen trust regarding the safety, convenience and efficiency of services, the second is an integrated service from the nearest and advanced health facilities. Optimizing emergency nursing services during a pandemic is important to improve by taking into account the needs of the community, this is done so that people can feel safe and comfortable in accessing emergency nursing services so that emergency events can be handled properly. Many factors need to be studied related to compliance to diabetes complication prevention. Objective: The objective of this research was to analyze the determinants of compliance to complication prevention in type 2 DM patients. Method: This research used a correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was 233 type 2 DM patients recruited using the convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses. Results: The results of the Chi-Square analysis showed several factors had a significant relationship with compliance with diabetes complication prevention, including knowledge (p 0.003), attitude (p 0.000), motivation (p 0.020) and family support (p 0.000). On the other hand, the results of multivariate analysis showed that attitude (AOR: 6.148), family support (AOR: 2.846) and motivation (AOR: 1.912) were the dominant factors in preventing DM complications. Conclusion: Compliance with complication prevention in type 2 DM patients is the main aspect that needs to be improved through improving several factors, namely patient attitude, motivation and family support.

Health literacy contributes to improving a person's health to make healthy lifestyle choices, prevent disease, seek information about appropriate treatment, and determine the best remedies to treat a disease. Objective: This study was aimed to determine the differences in the level of adult patients’ health literacy in rural and urban health centers in Pandalungan region in Jember regency, East Java, Indonesia. Methods: The study was designed as comparative descriptive research. Purposive sampling was conducted on 216 adults who visited two public health centers (henceforth PHCs) in rural and urban areas which were determined based on the highest visitors of 2019 in each rural and urban region. Data was collected using HLS-EU-16Q. The data analysis were descriptive analysis, Mann Whitney U Test, and chi-square test. The level of statistical significance was set at p<0.05. Results: The study found a significant difference in the level of health literacy among adults who visited urban and rural PHCs (p<0.001). The level of health literacy in respondents who visited PHCs urban areas (132.29) was higher than those who visited PHCs rural areas (84.71). The three sub domains of health literacy showed a significant difference between rural and urban areas (p<0.001). The location of PHCs, age, education level, and occupation were the factors associated with health literacy level. Conclusion: Our findings highlight the impact of geographical areas as a driving variable to the level of adults’ personal health literacy. The role of the rural-urban areas affects the individual skills and abilities as the precursor to health literacy. Thus, reducing health literacy barriers is an essential element for promoting health equity, which further can reduce health disparities and promotes the human rights principles of nondiscrimination and equality.

Methods: Cross sectional quantitative design was carried out in this study. The population in this study was the entire family of toddlers. The research sample was 100 families with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Results: The independent variables were the characteristics of parents including parent education (mom and dad), family revenue, and profession of mother. The dependent variable included the health care function implementation of families with toddler. Conclusion: Mother’s education, family revenue, and mother’s profession didn’t have a significant relationship with the health care function implementation of families with toddler. There was a correlation between father's education and the health care function implementation of families with toddler. A father's high education will help fathers in making wise decisions about children health in the family. Health education related to optimizing health care functions should be provided by nurses to parents.
