Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of safety policies, physical health, and psychological support on the well-being of workers in the landside area of Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Lombok. Work activities in the landside area have a fairly high level of physical and psychological risks because workers are faced with operational demands, time pressure, and responsibilities for serving passengers. These conditions can affect worker well-being if not supported by the implementation of adequate safety policies, physical health, and psychological support. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to landside workers including security officers, cleaning staff, customer service staff, and operational staff. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence of each variable partially and simultaneously. The results of the study indicate that safety policies, physical health, and psychological support have a positive and significant influence on worker well-being. Simultaneously, these three variables also make a significant contribution to improving worker well-being in the landside area of Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Lombok. This study is expected to be a consideration for airport managers in improving the quality of the work environment, the implementation of occupational safety, physical health, and psychological support to create better worker well-being.

Sharia insurance is a mutual protection and assistance effort among several individuals/parties through investments in assets or tabarru'. Which provides a return pattern to address specific risks through a Sharia-compliant contract (aqad). Sharia insurance businesses have the benefit of protecting life, mind, property, and descendants. The implementation of maslahah in Sharia insurance is realized through transactions that begin with contributions in the form of tabarru'. In the determination of Islamic law, maslahah can be considered if it does not conflict with the principles of Islamic law. This study aims to analyze Sharia insurance from the perspective of the concept of maslahah. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to understand the philosophy of maslahah and its application in Sharia insurance. The results show that the principle of maslahah plays a significant role in the development of Sharia insurance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic development of the Gili Iyang community influenced by oxygen tourism activities and to examine it from the perspective of Hifz al-Mal. Gili Iyang is a tourist destination in Sumenep Regency known for its high air quality, which has enabled it to develop as a health- and environment-based tourism destination. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and was conducted through field research to obtain data directly from the research site. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving local communities, business actors, village officials, tourists, and tourism service providers. The findings indicate that oxygen tourism has a positive impact on community economic growth, as reflected in increased local income, the development of culinary businesses, transportation services, homestays, and the creation of employment opportunities for local residents. In addition, oxygen tourism serves as a health- and environment-based tourism attraction by emphasizing air quality and environmental sustainability as its main attractions. From the perspective of Hifz al-Mal, the development of oxygen tourism reflects efforts to preserve and manage resources wisely, productively, and sustainably for the benefit of society. However, tourism development still faces challenges, including limited facilities, transportation access, and suboptimal tourism promotion. Therefore, sustainable collaboration among local communities, village governments, and other stakeholders is required to develop tourism that not only aims to increase community income but is also aligned with Islamic economic values emphasizing public welfare, justice, and sustainability.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is a critical indicator of airport operational success amid the intensifying competition in the air transportation industry. This study aims to analyze and empirically verify the influence of service quality, operational security, and airport facilities on customer satisfaction at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM). A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was applied to 228 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a 1–5 Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 29. The results indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Operational security emerged as the most dominant predictor (β = 0.302), followed by service quality (β = 0.233), and airport facilities (β = 0.194). Simultaneously, the three variables account for 63.9% of the variation in customer satisfaction (R² = 0.639; F = 131.927; p < 0.001). These findings contribute theoretically to the development of satisfaction-based aviation management and serve as a strategic reference for BIM management in establishing sustainable service improvement priorities.

Abstract

Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta handles various types of flights, ranging from commercial, military, and private to state-related flights, with an average volume of 70 aircraft movements per day. The available parking stand capacity is limited to 16 stands—comprising Alpha 1–3 and Bravo 1–13—which is insufficient to accommodate the high frequency of flights. This imbalance leads to recurring overcapacity, triggered by the closure of the South Apron for state activities, the issuance of NOTAMs, changes in charter flight schedules, and delays in Ground Handling Services. Without proper management, these conditions risk causing aircraft congestiOn On the apron and taxiway, the potential for Ground collisions, and ongoing flight delays. This study aims to identify the impact of overcapacity On flight Operations and to analyze the strategies employed by the Apron Movement Control (AMC) unit in managing limited parking stands. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collectiOn through field observations, interviews with three key informants from the AMC unit, and a review of Apron Movement Sheets (AMS) and Daily Flight Schedules. Data validity was tested through triangulatiOn of sources and techniques, while data analysis was conducted using the SWOT framework. The research findings indicate that overcapacity leads to aircraft queues, increased risk of Ground incidents, and persistent flight delays. The AMC unit addresses this situatiOn through strategies such as repositioning aircraft to the South Apron or New South Apron, utilizing remote areas for narrow-body aircraft, prioritizing parking based On schedules, and actively coordinating with airlines, Ground Handling providers, and ATC. This study concludes that the success of managing overcapacity is largely determined by the flexibility of AMC strategies and the quality of synergy among Operational units in maintaining flight safety and smooth Operations.
