Abstract

The occurrence of extortion by individuals associated with community organizations (Ormas) under the guise of neighborhood security in the Pamulang area signifies a departure from the optimal function of Ormas as social agents within the community. This approach engenders dread and discomfort while also underscoring the disparity between legal standards and social reality. This study intends to examine extortion activities through a criminological perspective, specifically utilizing Edwin Sutherland’s Differential Association Theory, and to assess the efficacy of current legal frameworks. The study employs a qualitative research methodology, utilizing in-depth interviews and observations to examine the experiences and viewpoints of both perpetrators and victims, thereby elucidating the formation and perpetuation of deviant conduct within Ormas contexts. The research inquiries examine the role of social learning processes in extortion and the efficacy of existing legal frameworks in resolving this issue. The results demonstrate that criminal behavior in Ormas is acquired through profound social contact, heavily influenced by the frequency, duration, priority, and strength of group relationships. Moreover, inadequate legal penalties, minimal public reporting, and a lack of stringent control of Ormas operations intensify the persistence of these practices. This study advocates for the enhancement of law enforcement, the amendment of Ormas regulations to incorporate more rigorous criminal penalties, and the elevation of public legal literacy to motivate persons to report and counter intimidation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning of istidraj in QS. Al-An'am verse 44 based on the perspective of tafsir Al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab, and relate it to the phenomenon of life in the contemporary era. This study is motivated by the widespread phenomenon of worldly pleasures that are often mistaken for blessings, even though it could be a form of hidden test. The method used is library research, by examining relevant classical and contemporary tafsir literature. The results showed that istidraj is a form of test from Allah in the form of sustenance and success that actually plunges a person into spiritual negligence. Tafsir Al-Mishbah emphasizes that istidraj is not only a phenomenon of the past, but applies throughout the ages. In conclusion, understanding istidraj is very important so that Muslims are not trapped in the illusion of worldly pleasures, and always increase gratitude and faith as a form of protection from these deceptions.

Abstract

Indonesian agriculture faces various challenges such as climate change, land-use conversion, and the low interest of younger generations in the sector. To address these issues, it is necessary to improve the quality of human resources through training based on modern agricultural technology. This study aims to analyze the potential use of screenhouses in agribusiness-oriented melon cultivation and to develop a training model implemented at the UPT. Pelatihan Pertanian Jawa Timur. The methods used include participatory observation and a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. The results show that screenhouses have significant potential as educational and productive facilities in enhancing the efficiency of melon cultivation through controlled growing environments, the use of technologies such as drip irrigation and direct planting systems, as well as integrated pest and disease management. In addition, the training model implemented is holistic, covering technical aspects of cultivation, agribusiness management, and digital marketing, using an andragogical approach that encourages active participant engagement. The integration of QR codes as interactive learning media further strengthens the role of technology in the training process. The optimization of screenhouses not only boosts agricultural productivity but also strengthens the capacity of young farmers to adapt and innovate in response to the dynamic future of agribusiness.

Abstract

Social capital is one of the key elements in the independence of educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. This paper aims to analyze the role of social capital in promoting the economic independence of students through the embroidery industry at Pondok Pesantren Al-Amin Tasikmalaya. Using Robert D. Putnam's social capital theory framework, this study focuses on networks, norms, and trust. This descriptive qualitative research provides an in-depth description of social phenomena through observation, in-depth interviews with various stakeholders (school principal, vice principal, embroidery teachers, garment managers, student representatives, and local community members), and documentation at Pondok Pesantren Al-Amin Tasikmalaya. Data was analyzed interactively (reduction, presentation, drawing conclusions) and verified through triangulation. The research findings indicate that the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School successfully manages the embroidery industry as a comprehensive economic empowerment strategy. This model is fundamentally supported by the manifestation of strong social capital: active networks (through the absorption of graduates into partner factories, strategic industrial partnerships, and a maklun system that empowers the surrounding community) that open economic opportunities and market access for students; emphasized norms (product quality, business ethics, and internal solidarity) that shape professional work ethics and student integrity; and trust as the glue for harmonious collaboration between the boarding school, students, and industry stakeholders. The social capital formed through students' direct involvement in industry and embroidery skill training influences the development of their potential, skills, and ultimately, economic independence, preparing them to become competitive individuals. This paper provides deep insights into how social capital can serve as a key pillar in achieving economic independence for individual students within religious educational institutions.

This study aims to examine the extent to which the free installation program and network quality influence purchasing behavior of IndiHome services among Generation Z and millennials. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 100 respondents in the West Java region. The results indicate that both factors free installation and network quality have a positive and significant effect on purchasing behavior. Among the two, network quality emerged as the most dominant factor influencing purchasing decisions within the Gen Z and millennial groups. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Telkomsel continue to improve its network quality while designing promotional strategies that align with the characteristics and preferences of younger generations to enhance purchase intention and maintain customer loyalty.

Abstract

Wayang Sasak, a traditional puppet theater from Lombok, Indonesia, represents a significant element of cultural heritage imbued with profound historical and spiritual values. However, the current cultural landscape shows a decline in its relevance due to the challenges posed by globalization and the lack of innovative preservation strategies. This study aims to address these issues by analyzing the implementation of the Green Ocean Strategy, which integrates cultural preservation with environmental sustainability and creative innovation. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research critically examines 50 peer-reviewed studies, ensuring a rigorous selection process that accounts for relevance, methodological robustness, and empirical findings. The analysis focuses on cultural preservation, sustainable creative industries, and innovation strategies to identify both opportunities and challenges for Wayang Sasak’s development. Key statistical measures, including effect sizes and significance levels, have been incorporated to enhance the validity of the findings. The results indicate that while Wayang Sasak has immense potential as a sustainable creative industry product, it faces key obstacles such as limited access to technology and eco-friendly materials. However, the study highlights specific significant opportunities, particularly the percentage of analyzed studies supporting digital integration and the economic indicators suggesting viability. Furthermore, collaborative efforts with the tourism and creative sectors in Lombok offer promising pathways for enhancing the economic viability and international appeal of Wayang Sasak. The conclusion emphasizes the strategic importance of adopting the Green Ocean Strategy to ensure the sustainable development of this cultural heritage. Practical implications for stakeholders include actionable recommendations to strengthen community engagement, innovate production methods, and align with global sustainability trends. By adopting adaptive strategies, Wayang Sasak can thrive as a vital component of the creative economy while preserving its traditional essence

Abstract

This article discusses the views of the Qur'aniyyun, a group that recognizes only the Qur'an as the sole source of law, rejecting the authority of Hadith. One of their prominent figures, Kassim Ahmad, in his book Hadith: A Re-evaluation, presents arguments that challenge the validity of Hadith. This research aims to critically examine these arguments using content analysis and library research methods, providing a systematic and structured refutation. Kassim Ahmad's arguments center on an exclusive understanding and interpretation of the Qur'an, without incorporating Hadith. This stance creates confusion among Muslims regarding the position of Hadith as a source of law. This article asserts that such a view is unacceptable because Hadith plays a vital role in explaining and complementing the laws found in the Qur'an. Therefore, Hadith cannot be separated from the Qur'an in the context of Islamic law.
