Abstract

Indonesia, as an agricultural country, has a large population whose livelihoods are in the agricultural sector. However, the composition of Indonesian farmers by age is mostly over 40 years old compared to young farmers whose percentage is smaller. The decline in the number of young farmers occurs due to a decrease in interest or desire to have jobs in the agricultural sector. The Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Services (YESS) program seeks to create entrepreneurs and improve the competency of the younger generation of professionals in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze the empowerment of young farmers through the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Services (YESS) program in Puspo Village, Pasuruan Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results in the enabling stage, as an effort to create potential through training, competitive grants, and certified internships in the YESS program, were optimally implemented, able to encourage and motivate communities to develop their opportunities. Then, in the empowering stage, as an effort to strengthen community potential, it was realized through training for agricultural sector management using a modern approach, through capital assistance from competitive grants, and through certified internships for experience and knowledge in agricultural sector management innovation. Then, in the protecting stage, as an effort to protect and support, it was realized through assistance in managing business permits and the existence of a millennial farmer producer cooperative. However, the operationalization of the millennial farmer producer cooperative did not run optimally due to the lack of sustainability and clarity regarding its function as a place to market agricultural products.

Abstract

The high divorce rate in Karawang has a significant impact on the psychological condition of adolescents, particularly in relation to their ability to adapt positively, or what is known as resilience. This study aims to determine the influence of self-esteem and religiosity on resilience in adolescents with divorced parents. Using a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, this study involved 395 respondents aged 10–21 years in Karawang with divorced family backgrounds. This study used the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) to measure self-esteem, the Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS) to measure religiosity, and the Resilience Quotient Scale (RQ) to measure resilience. Simultaneously, self-esteem and religiosity contributed 12.4% to resilience, with religiosity playing a more dominant role than self-esteem. The results of this study also showed that self-esteem had a positive and significant effect on adolescent resilience (t = 2.257; p = 0.025). Religiosity also has a positive and significant effect on adolescent resilience (t = 6.020; p = 0.000). The findings of this study confirm that higher levels of self-esteem and religiosity contribute to increased resilience in adolescents in coping with the impact of parental divorce.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of household financial management and consumerist lifestyle, as well as their impact on the performance of the Indonesian Navy soldiers at the Indonesian Naval Academy through a qualitative approach. Using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with several soldiers, this research seeks to uncover their experiences, understanding, and perceptions regarding personal financial management and the influence of consumerist lifestyles on their military performance. The analysis reveals that poor financial management and consumerist behavior negatively affect concentration, motivation, and productivity in carrying out their duties. In contrast, the application of sound financial management and a frugal lifestyle positively contributes to performance enhancement. This study suggests the need for financial training programs and awareness campaigns on the importance of a simple lifestyle to improve the performance of the Indonesian Navy soldiers.

Abstract

This study analyzes non-traditional maritime threats at the Indonesia-Philippines sea border to support the Indonesian Navy’s (TNI AL) maritime security strategy. Utilizing SWOT analysis complemented by IFAS and EFAS matrices, the research identifies key internal strengths and weaknesses of TNI AL, as well as external opportunities and threats in the maritime border region. Findings reveal that while TNI AL possesses significant capabilities in experience, surveillance technology, and inter-agency cooperation, challenges remain in patrol vessel availability and technological limitations. External threats such as illegal fishing, smuggling, maritime terrorism, and piracy dominate the security landscape. The study recommends a Strengths-Threats (ST) strategy focusing on enhancing operational capacity, technological upgrades, increasing cooperation between maritime law enforcement agencies, and bilateral cooperation with the Philippines to effectively mitigate these threats. Implementation of these strategies is expected to strengthen maritime sovereignty and regional stability.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of the Indonesian Navy Military Police (Pomal) aboard warships (KRI) in supporting the core tasks of the Indonesian Navy, particularly in maintaining discipline, enforcing the law, and upholding military order among personnel. Pomal serves as the law enforcer on board the KRI, ensuring that all personnel comply with the regulations in place. The study finds that despite the crucial role of Pomal, it faces various challenges, such as limited human resources, inadequate law enforcement facilities, and overlapping authority with the ship's command structure. Furthermore, the geographical challenges, which separate the KRI from naval bases or other military legal authorities, affect the effectiveness of law enforcement. Nonetheless, Pomal strives to overcome these challenges by optimizing coordination between Pomal personnel and the KRI Commander. This research recommends the improvement of supporting facilities, clearer authority structures, and enhanced coordination between relevant parties to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement and discipline enforcement on KRI.

Abstract

Generation Z, which grew up in the digital age and is known to be adaptive yet realistic, faces high pressure in the modern workplace. In the midst of this pressure, the phenomenon of quiet quitting, which includes a decrease in worker engagement and minimum task fulfillment, is increasingly prominent. This study aims to examine the influence of burnout on the phenomenon of quiet quitting in generation Z workers. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design and involves 354 respondents of generation Z workers in Karawang obtained using convenience sampling with details of 150 male workers and 204 female workers aged 18-27 years. The research instruments used were the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) to measure burnout behavior and the Quiet Quitting Scale (QQS) to measure quiet quitting behavior. The results of regression analysis showed that burnout has a positive and significant effect on quiet quitting (β = 0.782, p < 0.05). Thus, an increase in burnout will increase the tendency of workers to do quiet quitting. A 61.2% variation in quiet quitting behavior can be explained by the level of burnout. This research enriches the understanding of burnout and quiet quitting in generation Z, and provides a practical basis for companies and workers in creating a healthy and productive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the competence of BMP 3F armored vehicle operators and the operational readiness of BMP 3F material on the effectiveness of amphibious landing training conducted by the 2nd Amphibious Tank Battalion of the Marine Corps in Surabaya. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores two main variables: operator competence and material readiness, and how both factors contribute to the success of the training. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with armored vehicle operators, logistics personnel, and commanders, as well as observations of the training execution. The results show that high operator competence, both in technical skills and work attitude, plays a significant role in the success of the training. Additionally, optimal material readiness, including routine maintenance and efficient logistical support, also has a major impact on the smooth execution of the training. These two variables interact simultaneously and cannot be separated, highlighting the importance of integrating human resource development and equipment readiness to achieve training effectiveness. This study is expected to contribute practical insights into the planning and execution of more effective military training, as well as improve the operational readiness of units.
