EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional media for football learning materials for seventh-grade junior high school students using the Canva application and to determine the feasibility and practicality of the developed media. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Keluang, involving seventh-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The results of material expert validation showed a percentage of 96%, categorized as very valid, while media expert validation reached 84%, also categorized as very valid. The practicality test results indicated that teacher responses achieved 100% with a very practical category, and student responses during the implementation stage reached 88.2% with a very practical category. The findings indicate that football instructional media based on the Canva application is feasible and practical for use in physical education learning at the junior high school level and can enhance students’ interest and understanding of football materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of information technology services at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Palembang City using the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) approach based on the ITIL V4 framework. The IT services analyzed include the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) and Digital Population Identity (IKD), which support public service delivery. This research employs a descriptive analytical method with a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Data were collected through literature studies, direct observation, interviews, and questionnaire distribution to relevant stakeholders determined through RACI mapping. Data analysis was conducted using SWOT analysis, fishbone analysis to identify root causes of problems, maturity level measurement, and gap analysis. The research focuses on the Service Management Practices domain of ITIL V4, namely Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Continuity Management. The results indicate that the maturity level of IT service management in all three practices is at Level 4 (Managed), demonstrating that IT service processes have been implemented effectively and are systematically managed. However, minor gaps remain, particularly in documentation, root cause analysis, procedure standardization, and service continuity planning. Therefore, this study provides improvement recommendations to enhance sustainable IT service management and support the improvement of public service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) using the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 4 framework at Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang. Along with the increasing reliance of higher education institutions on information technology to support academic and administrative activities, structured, effective, and value-oriented IT service management is essential. Common issues such as disruptions to information system services and delays in incident handling have become critical reasons for evaluating the existing IT service management practices. This research focuses on the Service Management Practice domain, particularly Incident Management and Problem Management practices, as both play a strategic role in maintaining service continuity and preventing the recurrence of similar disruptions. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to students, lecturers, and information technology staff as users and managers of IT services. The collected data were then analyzed using maturity level measurements based on ITIL V4 and complemented by gap analysis to identify discrepancies between the current conditions and the expected conditions. The results indicate that the maturity level of IT service management is at Level 4 (Managed), suggesting that service processes are well-defined, managed, and monitored through clear performance indicators. Nevertheless, several aspects still require improvement to ensure that IT service management can achieve an optimal and sustainable level. Therefore, this study provides a set of strategic recommendations that are expected to serve as a reference for the university in enhancing the quality of IT services and strengthening overall information technology governance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Padlet media on students’ learning interest. The background of this research stems from the low level of students’ learning interest caused by learning activities that are still conventional and lack student engagement. Padlet media was chosen because it has interactive features that can increase student participation and learning motivation. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used was a student learning interest questionnaire consisting of 30 statement items using a 1–5 Likert scale. The data were analyzed using a normality test, homogeneity test, independent t-test, and effect size analysis (Cohen’s d) to determine the level of significance and the magnitude of the treatment effect. The results showed that the average pretest score was 38.76, while the posttest score was 54.01. The results of the independent t-test indicated a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.009 < 0.05, which signifies a significant difference before and after the treatment. In addition, the effect size value of 0.77 falls into the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Padlet media has a significant effect on increasing students’ learning interest.

Abstract

Romantic breakup is a common interpersonal stressor during emerging adulthood and is frequently associated with emotional distress. However, psychological recovery trajectories vary substantially across individuals, highlighting the role of internal psychological mechanisms. This systematic review aimed to synthesize empirical evidence on cognitive, emotional, and identity-based mechanisms involved in psychological recovery following romantic breakup among emerging adults. A systematic review was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines. Quantitative and mixed-methods studies examining psychological mechanisms related to post-breakup adjustment in emerging adult populations were synthesized narratively. The synthesis identified rumination, emotion regulation, and self-concept clarity as key mechanisms associated with recovery trajectories. Rumination was linked to more persistent emotional distress, whereas adaptive emotion regulation strategies, particularly cognitive reappraisal and higher self-concept clarity were associated with more adaptive psychological adjustment. Psychological recovery following romantic breakup is a dynamic, multilayered adaptation process shaped by interacting cognitive, emotional, and identity-based mechanisms.

Abstract

Biology is one of the general subjects taught to all students in grade 10 and continues in higher grades for students who choose science-related (MIPA) specialization. Biology learning in senior high schools is often considered less engaging when it relies solely on textbooks as learning resources, due to limited information and a lack of connection to everyday life. One effort to address this issue is through the use of contextual learning modules and interactive learning media. In this regard, biology learning modules can incorporate the utilization of traditional medicinal plants as solutions for maintaining health and treating diseases. Traditional medicinal plants are highly relevant to biodiversity topics due to the abundance of genetic resources and the extensive ancestral knowledge related to medicinal plants. This study aims to determine the effect of learning that utilizes a traditional medicinal plant module assisted by the Wayground educational game on improving senior high school students’ formative assessment scores. The Wayground educational game is used to increase student engagement through features that support independent learning and repeated practice, allowing students to learn from their mistakes. The results show an improvement in students’ formative scores, indicated by an increase in the percentage of correct answers on Wayground quizzes from 48% to 72%, as well as an increase in the percentage of students who completed the quizzes from 78% to 92%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that biology learning utilizing a traditional medicinal plant module assisted by the Wayground educational game has a positive effect on improving senior high school students’ formative assessment scores.
