EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership style in improving the quality of institutions in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Ula Probolinggo. Where leadership is the most important issue or important for an institutional body, it is because the leadership style is part of influencing the success of the organization or institutional body itself to achieve these goals. The purpose of this research is to understand the role and determine the relationship between the leadership of the madrasa head in improving the quality of the institution at Madrasah Hidayatul Ula Probolinggo. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, which is describing or describing an ongoing problem and in collecting reports in the form of data. The data collection process includes using the method of interview, observation, documentation (data review). The conclusions of this study are that the leadership style of The principal's leadership style in improving the quality of the institution has a significant effect, namely through the process of coaching and strengthening. The quality of the institution is formed from the leadership style of the madrasah principal in the quality of learning and always conducting supervision in the learning process so that the quality of the teaching-learning process is better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Smart Ladder media on students’ mathematics learning outcomes in addition. The data were analyzed using normality tests and the Wilcoxon test with the aid of SPSS software. The results showed that before using the Smart Ladder media, students’ mathematics learning outcomes in addition were in the low category, with an average score of 41.7. After using the Smart Ladder media, learning outcomes increased significantly and reached the high category with an average score of 77.9, and the Wilcoxon test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This indicates that the data on the use of the Smart Ladder media has a significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes in addition for first-grade students.

Abstract

This article examines the epistemological role of hearing (sam‘) and sight (bashar) in the Qur’an using a thematic interpretation approach. The research identifies Qur’anic verses related to sensory perception and analyzes them through classical and contemporary tafsir literature. The findings indicate that hearing frequently appears before sight in Qur’anic discourse, suggesting a structured hierarchy in human cognition. However, modern technological developments have produced a visual-dominant culture where sight tends to be prioritized. The Qur’anic perspective emphasizes the integration of hearing, sight, and the heart as complementary epistemological instruments.

Abstract

Argumentative writing is an essential skill for English Education students, yet many still struggle to construct logical and persuasive arguments. This study examines how students use transitivity processes to build arguments through the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to analyze four argumentative essays consisting of 44 clauses written by second-year English Education students at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang. Each clause was categorized according to Halliday and Matthiessen’s (2004) transitivity system. The analysis revealed that material processes occurred 31 times, mental processes 5 times, relational processes 6 times, and verbal, behavioral, and existential processes 2 times in total. These findings show that students predominantly describe actions rather than abstract reasoning or evaluations. Pedagogically, the results suggest two key implications, first, integrating functional grammar awareness into academic writing instruction can help students understand how language constructs meaning; second, designing writing tasks that emphasize varied process types can enhance students’ argument quality and critical thinking.

Abstract

The implementation of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR/PIPK) is a vital foundation for Srenum TNI (General Policy and Planning Staff of the Indonesian National Armed Forces) to produce accurate financial information as a basis for strategic decision-making by the TNI Commander. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of PIPK implementation at the Srenum TNI unit and identify the challenges faced in improving the quality of financial statements in accordance with government accounting standards. The research methodology employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a Control Self-Assessment (CSA) framework, as mandated by Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 17/2019. Data collection was conducted through technical triangulation, including: (1) Document Review of the five components of internal control; (2) Technical Interviews with treasury officials and SAKTI application operators; and (3) a Quantitative Survey involving 87 Srenum TNI personnel to measure perceptions of the control environment. The analysis focused on significant accounts—such as equipment, machinery, and inventory—through reperformance procedures within the SAKTI and SIMAK BMN applications. The results indicate that Srenum TNI has achieved "Effective Internal Control" (PIE) status. This effectiveness is attributed to the integration of risk management into organizational SOPs and the optimization of Information Technology and Manual (ITDM) monitoring systems. However, the optimization of PIPK is still hindered by three primary constraints: limited personnel quantity leading to a double burden of tasks, a technical skill gap regarding complex digital system features, and high personnel rotation (tour of duty), which disrupts the continuity of knowledge management. The study recommends strengthening institutionalized knowledge management and continuous technical certification to maintain the integrity of financial reporting in support of TNI’s bureaucratic transformation.

Abstract

The dynamics of contemporary maritime security threats have evolved significantly, with cyberspace now established as a critical domain that complements the traditional tri-matra (three-dimensional warfare). Threats such as sabotage of Command and Control (C2) systems, digitally-based maritime spionage, and disinformation campaigns that disrupt naval operations require a nimble legal response underpinned by profound technical knowledge. This conceptual article argues that fulfilling the requirements for Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) Legal Corps Officers is no longer sufficient through conventional legal education alone; instead, it demands a fundamental reorientation of the Initial Officer Education (Dikma) and Specialist Development Education (Dikbangspes) programs. Through a thorough needs assessment approach, this article proposes an integrative framework that unites three main pillars: international cyber law principles (jus in silico), applicable digital forensic technical competencies, and specific maritime operational contexts. Case simulations, such as handling data breach incidents aboard warships or conducting legal analysis of cyber attacks on port infrastructure, are proposed as methods for evaluating program effectiveness. In conclusion, this curriculum transformation serves as a crucial force multiplier for building robust and proactive legal advisory capabilities, thereby ensuring Indonesia's legal sovereignty in the future digital maritime domain.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of TikTok-based learning. The research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving 35 students as the participants. The study was carried out in two main stages, namely the pre-test and the implementation of the learning treatment followed by the post-test. The purpose of the pre-test was to identify the students’ initial ability before the implementation of TikTok-based learning, while the post-test was conducted to measure the improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the treatment. The results of the pre-test showed that the students’ mean score was 71, which indicates that students’ understanding of the learning material was still relatively moderate. Although some students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 70, several students still obtained scores below the required standard. This condition showed that students still needed improvement in their learning outcomes. After the implementation of TikTok-based learning in the learning process, the post-test results showed a significant improvement in students’ achievement. The mean score increased to 86.57, which indicates a considerable improvement compared to the pre-test results. In addition, most students were able to achieve scores above the Minimum Mastery Criterion, indicating that the learning objectives were successfully achieved. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of TikTok-based learning can effectively improve students’ learning outcomes. The use of short and engaging educational videos helps increase students’ motivation, engagement, and understanding of the learning material.

Abstract

Work readiness is one the important indicators of the success of vocational education, particularly Vocational High Schools (SMK), in preparing graduates to enter the workforce. This study aims to analyze the effect of career guidance on the work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. This research employed a quantitative approach of all 66 twelfth-grade students, and the sampling technique used was total sampling. The instruments used were career guidance and work readiness questionnaires based on a Likert scala. Data analysis was conducted using reliability, normality, linearity, and simple regression tests. The Cronbach’s Alpha value for the career guidance variable was 0,896 and for work readiness was 0.889, indicating high realibility. The normality test showed a significance value of 0.076 (>0.05), while the linearity test showed a deviation from linearity significance value of 0.320 (>0.05). These results indicate that the better the implementation of career guidance, the higher the students’ work readiness. This study confirms the importance of systematic career guidance services in improving the work readiness of vocational high school students.
