Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in preventing stunting in early childhood as a critical growth period in Wawowae Village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, environmental observations, and documentation of nutritional status at the Posyandu. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that low parental nutritional literacy impacts the lack of awareness in monitoring child growth. Feeding practices are still dominated by low-animal protein menus, exacerbated by limited family economic access to nutritious food. Although health facilities are available, the implementation of nutritional parenting and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) at the household level is inconsistent. This study concludes that stunting prevention requires synergy between increasing nutritional literacy, active family involvement, and intensive assistance from health workers to create sustainable interventions.

Abstract

The development of educational psychology shows a shift from focusing on cognitive abilities to emphasizing non-cognitive factors such as self-efficacy and grit in explaining academic success. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and grit and their association with students’ academic achievement. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design with a qualitative-descriptive approach following the PRISMA framework. Data were obtained from the Scopus database using the keyword “self-efficacy AND grit”, resulting in 86 identified articles, of which 13 met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that self-efficacy has a consistent and more dominant relationship with various indicators of academic achievement, both directly and indirectly through variables such as engagement and learning strategies. Grit also contributes to academic success, but its influence tends to be indirect and mediated by self-efficacy. The discussion reveals that the relationship between self-efficacy and grit is reciprocal and forms a dynamic psychological system. This study concludes that self-efficacy plays a central role as a key mediator linking grit to academic achievement within an integrative conceptual framework.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of parents' role in supporting the social and emotional development of early childhood through the implementation of parenting programs. Parents' lack of knowledge and skills in parenting results in children's social and emotional development being hampered, such as the ability to interact, manage emotions, and collaborate. Therefore, this study aims to describe the implementation of parenting programs to improve the social and emotional skills of parents and children in Naru Village. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study model, focusing on the implementation of parenting programs in early childhood education (PAUD) settings. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with parents, teachers, and program facilitators. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and abstraction.
