Abstract

One indicator states that professional teachers / educators have the ability to manage classes, namely providing a conducive atmosphere for effective and efficient learning processes. If it is not yet conducive, then a teacher or lecturer must work optimally to master, regulate and improve, and create a conducive atmosphere so that the learning process can run optimally to achieve the desired learning goals. Class management is not an easy and easy thing, let alone for teachers who have just fielded themselves into the world of education, for teachers who are already professional, they have felt how difficult it is to manage classes, but never teachers feel dry and then deter from managing classes every time they teach in class. The failure of a teacher to achieve teaching goals is in line with the inability of the teacher to manage the class, from failure it is achievement, learning of students is low, not in accordance with the standards or size limits that are determined, therefore classroom management is very important teacher competency mastered by the teacher within the framework of success teaching and learning process. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the mastery of English vocabulary through the VCD media method on class II students in SD N Rorotan 03 Morning Village in Rorotan Sub-District, Cilincing District, North Jakarta. This research was conducted on 32 year old children. This study was an action research with Kemmis and Taggart models consisting of 4 stages namely (plan, action, observation and reflection). This study consisted of 2 cycles, with each cycle as many as four meetings. Data collection techniques are using observation, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis is carried out with statistical descriptions to compare pre cycles to the second cycle. The stages of qualitative analysis are data reduction, display data and verification. The results showed that there was an increase in English vocabulary mastery through the VCD media method. Theresults of the study quantitatively addressed the learning outcomes of vocabulary improvement in 32 children with an average of 58. 53% so that the results had not reached KKM, then continued in the first cycle to experience the average vocabulary ability is 71. 31% and then in cycle II the average vocabulary is 84.06%. Abstract

Management of the Salaf boarding school curriculum (Study of PP. Bitus Sholihin Genggong Probolinggo). The study was motivated by the many educational curricula today based on (global) market needs. While the Islamic Boarding School Salaf PP. Baitus Sholihin Genggong still maintains Islamic-based education while maintaining its salaf model. Even so, students graduated from the Islamic Boarding School Salaf PP. Baitus Sholihin Genggong were able to face the challenges of the times in the era of modernization. Abstract

This research has an objective to know: (1) the performance of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher in sub district Paiton (2) the influence of teaching skill perception about work environment, and work motivation to performance of MI Insan Terpadu Paiton. Next, this research uses after the fact research that uses proportional random sampling from population which is collected from 99 teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and it is acquired 55 teachers sample. Data collection technique to know teacher performance and their skill is collected from the observation. Then, the perception of work environment and work motivation is taken from questionnaire scale Likert with 4 scale modification. The, Data analysis technique which is used is descriptive, partial correlation and double regression to degree 5% significant. The result of descriptive analysis shows that the level of teacher performance is in good category (average = 100,93 from minimum score 119). The result of partial correlation shows that there is significant influence from variables of teaching skill, perception of work environment and work motivation to teacher performance in a row. r1y (2,3) about 0,647; r2y (1,3) about 0,367; r3y (1,2) about 0,271. The result of double regression show correlation coefficient R about 0,774. The significant influence of Ry (1,2,3) can be seen in from the significant of determination of coefficient (R2) about 59,29%. The significant of effective contribution is acquired from the teaching skill 52%; perception of work environment about 4,8%; working motivation 3,2%.

Abstract

ملخص البحث: إن المنهج هو الخبرات التي تقدمها المدرسة لطلابها للوصول إلى الأهداف التربوية. والمنهج الدراسى يتعلق بكل المراحل المدرسية وهو المرحلة الإبتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية. أما المرحلة المتوسطة فهي المرحلة الوسطى من التعليم العام بحيث يسبقها المرحلة الإبتدائية ويليها المرحلة الثانوية، وفي سياسة التعليم في المجتمع السعودي تعد المرحلة المتوسطة مرحلة ثقافية عامة، يراعى فيها نمو وخصائص المرحلة العمرية التي يمر بها الطلبة، وتشارك غيرها في تحقيق الأهداف العامة من التعليم. وحاجات الطلاب إلى تعلم اللغة العربية تتأثر إلى دوافعهم في تعليم اللغة العربية الذي يناسب بمرحلتهم.

Abstract

This article will explain one of theories in learning; that is theory of Thorndike. This theory is developed by education psychology experts from America whose name Edward Lee Thorndike, (Next will be mentioned as Thorndike). Thorndike was born in Wiliamsburg on 31 August 1874 and died in Montrose, New York, on 10 August 1949. He is prominent figure from Fungsionalism ideology of Columbia. After finished his study in Harvard University, he works in Teacher’s College of Columbia under lead of James Mckeen Cattell. Here, his passion to learning process, education and intelligences. On 1898, in his 24 ages, Thorndike publisehed his own books entitled Animal Intelligence, An Experimental Study of Association Process in Animal. Thorndike has profession as an educator and Psychologist. Graduated from his first strata form Wesleyen University in Conecticut on 1895, second strata from Harvard on 1896 and seize his doctor degree in Colombia on 1898. He published some books such as: Educational Psychology (1903), Mental and social Measurements (1904), Animal Intelligence (1911), A teacher’s Word Book (1921),Your City (1939), dan Human Nature and The Social Order (1940) . Abstract

This research has an objective to know 1) implementation of perspective and mission of effort of PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) teacher in creating perspective and mission of MA Manbaul Hikam Tegalmojo in teaching learning process (Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar). 20 the effort of PAI teacher in creating perspective and mission of PAI teacher in creating perspective and mission of MA Manbaul Hikam Tegalmojo. The research method which is used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data which have been collected is analyzed use deductive approach. The result of this research shows that the process if teaching learning process in efforts of PAI teacher in creating the perspective of mission of MA. Manbaul Hikam Tegalmojo have used KTSP curriculum. Then, the implementation of efforts of PAI teacher in creating the perspective of mission of MA Manbaul Hikam Tegalmojo is through muatan local, extracurricular and students coaching skill. Then, the program intra curricular is done through the organization of teaching learning process that consist of the mastering of material, mastering of lesson, knowing the personality of students and teaching learning process and giving assessment and evaluating. In teaching learning process, there is a teacher who still cannot understand the perspective and mission of Madrasah, cannot use the method and media that is appropriate with given material. The efforts of PAI teacher in creating the perspective of mission of MA Manbaul Hikam Tegalmojo has role to arrange the perspective and mission of Madrasah, identify the need of Pendidikan agama islam, arrange the lesson plan, and do the comparison with more progressive school, make the religiosities extracurricular to improve the quality of science and worship. Teacher of PAI also evaluate about the achievement of student in material of PAI and also teacher of PAI evaluate the barrier in learning and try to solve it. The barrier that is found by teacher is cannot understand comprehensively the curriculum KTSP, also from the financial which cannot support the qualified teaching learning.

Abstract

High school graduates are expected to continue to the college. However, if they do not take the further education, so they will be expected to work. The expectations of schools and parents on the fresh graduates are that they can continue to university or be an independent after graduation. Based on the observation in this study, it is showed that 60% of the high school graduates can not proceed to university. Therefore, for those who are not able to proceed to the universities, it is hoped that they can support themselves by getting the job. Here is the importance of giving them the life skills education program (life skills education) and entrepreneurial subjects. To illustrate the problem, this study attempts to explore the data with a qualitative approach. In line with this approach, this kind of research is classified as a case study in the term of life skills education and entrepreneurial subjects. The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) the program planning of life skills education in MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember, (2) the educational program skills in MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember, (3) the discussion of subjects of entrepreneurship programs, (4) the description of students’ career success after completing a program of life skills education and acquire entrepreneurial subjects in the MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember. Moreover, based on the results, it is showed that: (1) the education planning programs of local advantages (life skills education) in MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember Foundation described the establishment of coordination within the parents, communities, committee, employers, and related agencies in the Jember regency; (2) the local advantages of education programs (life skills education) in MA - Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember is realized by the establishment of the Institute. Furthermore, the quality and skills development (LPMK) are conducted outside the school hours (as an extracurricular activities) 4 hours each day and it is divided into 2 turns. The program is done creatively, which is carried out with equipment based on the predefined modules; (3) the application of entrepreneurial subjects in the MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember integrated into the curriculum of local excellence. MA is one of the applying school subjects of entrepreneurship, and the entrepreneurial learning process are held for 2 hours of lessons in each week; (4) the description of students career success after completing life skills education program (Life Skills Education) and acquire entrepreneurial subjects in MA-Albadri Gumuksari Kalisat Jember are indicated by the number of graduates who are able to run their own business, or work at another person’s place of business. The percentage of those who open a business or work is higher than those who go on to college (40%).

Abstract

This type of learning is develop based on examine of technology learning of refer to design dick, Carey of Carey (2011). Procedure of developing is not only done in nine steps but also packet of learning which is development figured. Arabic language subject to seventh student, Second semester consists of 3 part that is matter of the studi part finder educator and participant of learning. Packet development process of learning is done passing through five stages: first step decide the subject which will be develop. Second step, identify syllabus of the subject which will develop. Third, formulate steps developing. Firfth, test and revise developing product. The result test expert stage of study in excelent result. Result test expert design and learning instrument to volume of learn are in good result, part finder educator and part finder learning participant are in good category, the result of personal test volume of study exist of 6 mistakes in the clicking, seven mistakes in the punctuation mark, three mistakes in the explaining picture. Result test of small group matter of study and scout participant of study are in good category, the result test of observation matter of study performance of participant is in good category, the result pre test and pos test with twenty emancipations rank and standart significant 0,05 are gotten observe is bigger than T table, that is 20,5 called matter of study which is used effective. The strength of packet learning which has arranged: (1) packet learning is arranged system . (2) packet learning can be influanced interest student to study. (3) Packet learning can be facilitated learning process in tjhe class, whereas weakness this packet is arranged based on characteristic of participant of MTs Darul Ulum Kraksaan Probolinggo. Suggestion which mimicries is: (1) Before using matter of learn, expert learning participant read first utilization instruction. (2) Matter of study Arabic language can be used in Mts Drul Ulum only. (3) If the matter is used learning participant next level, necessary remove analyze needed to study.

Abstract

The essence of education at the school is a learning process. There is no quality of education in schools without the equal of learning quality. Various efforts to improve the quality of education in schools can be perceived as less useful if it is not touched the improvement of the learning process. Among all components of learning, the teacher is the crucial one. There is no quality of learning without the equal quality of the teachers. One of the programs held in order to empower teachers is an academic supervision. It is a series of activities to help teachers in developing their ability to manage the learning process for the achievement of academic goals. Thus, the essence of academic supervision is to help teachers in developing skills professionalism. In achieving that lofty goal, the academic supervision should be implemented in all scope of the school. Moreover, the implementation of it is done by the principal as a leader, and as well as a supervisor who can foster the good morale for teachers. Based on the mentioned background, the researcher conducts the research on the implementation of the principal academic supervision in improving teachers’ professionalism in MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong Pajarakan Probolinggo. The purpose of the study is to describe the planning of the principal academic supervision in improving teachers’ professionalism, to describe the implementation of the principal academic supervision in improving the teachers’ professionalism, and to describe the evaluation of the principal academic supervision in improving the professionalism of teachers. This study uses qualitative research methods, and the explanation of the research results are not numerical but scientific one. The effort to obtain the valid data, the selected samples taken in this study by using purposive sampling techniques to select those that are considered most competent to understand the examined object. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, and documentaries. The observation methods are done by observing and recording, the interviews are conducted by interviewing the informants, and documentation methods are made to the objects documented. The data obtained are analyzed by using descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques, and then the validity of the data is applied by using triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the study, the implementation of principal academic supervision in improving the teachers’ professionalism in MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong Pajarakan Probolinggo is concluded as follow: First, the planning of academic supervision program is organized at the beginning of the school year before starting the overall teaching and learning activities, and included in the work program or the School Budget by involving all components of the school in determining the planning objectives, basic tools, and methods used in the academic supervision . Second, in implementing the academic supervision, the supervisor uses the individuals and groups techniques as well as the direct and indirect approaches. Third, in the results of the evaluation of academic supervision, it is found several obstacles, such as: (1) from the teachers point; the coaching process done by the principal are less as teachers often do not attend in the regular meetings as well as the meeting to implement the supervision models. (2) from the principal point; occasionally, the principal does not attend in the teachers coaching process that has been scheduled. (3) from the funds point; the lack of funds in in-service training activities caused by unbudgeted program arranged by the agency so that the teacher got less information due to the implementation done regularly.
