The development of halal tourism in South Korea has been a focal point for the government and relevant institutions since the early 2010s. South Korea took strategic measures to enhance accessibility and services for Muslim tourists visiting the country. Since the launch of the "Muslim Friendly Korea" program in 2014, various initiatives have been implemented to strengthen halal tourism infrastructure, including the provision of halal food facilities, the promotion of halal tourism through multiple media, and the development of Muslim-friendly facilities such as mosques and places of worship. These efforts have been instrumental in attracting Muslim tourists to South Korea and boosting the economic impact of the tourism sector. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing secondary data analysis that includes official reports, literature studies, and financial statistics related to halal tourism and South Korea's economic growth from 2019 to 2022. Based on the analysis of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) data, South Korea has successfully maintained its economic growth in the tourism sector through the development of halal tourism.

Abstract

This study examines the implications of the sea sand export policy for Indonesia’s maritime security. The policy had been suspended for 20 years due to losses suffered by Indonesia, particularly concerning maritime boundary issues with Singapore, but was reopened under the administration of President Joko Widodo through Government Regulation (PP) No. 26 of 2023 on the Management of Marine Sedimentation. Abstract

China is one of the dominant actors in the global rare earth elements market. This dominance then created a situation of dependence on China's rare earth metals. This research aims to analyze the United States Government's strategy in dealing with China's dominance of rare earths in the global market. The author uses the theory of offensive neorealism by John Mearsheimer as a conceptual framework in an attempt to explain the strategy of the United States. The type of research used is qualitative research with data collection techniques through library research in the form of primary data such as the official website of the United States Government, reports of rare earth companies in the United States, China and Australia, as well as secondary data sourced from research institutions, think tanks, articles from scientific institutions and professional organizations. After the data was collected and analyzed, the authors concluded that the United States' efforts to reduce import dependence were carried out by taking strategic steps through Executive Order or Executice Order 13817 and the Defense Production Act (DPA) during the Donald J Trump Administration (2017-2021). The move is a way to balance forces in limiting China's widespread dominance of rare earth metals. This effort is the impact of the dynamics of the international system that is anarchy, where the big countries never stop competing and pursuing power.
