Abstract

This study examines the principal's strategies in fostering teacher professionalism at SMK 3 PSKD North Jakarta, using a qualitative method and a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis conducted using triangulation methods. The aim of this research is to identify the principal's role in building teacher professionalism at SMK 3 PSKD North Jakarta. Additionally, this study seeks to understand how the principal's strategies influence the quality of teaching and the effectiveness of learning in the school. The findings indicate that the principal plays a vital role as the highest leader in the school, serving as a good role model for both teachers and students, and acting as a nurturing figure akin to a parent, using both direct and indirect approaches. The strategies employed to enhance teacher professionalism include: (1) discipline, which is key to achieving success and excellence; (2) deliberation, where the principal holds monthly meetings to evaluate the teaching and learning activities; and (3) reward-giving, where the principal provides recognition as a form of appreciation for teachers who perform well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the headmaster's strategy in developing a literacy culture at MTs Al-Mukhlishin Antibar. The background of this research is based on the low literacy habits among students, caused by the suboptimal role of the headmaster in managing literacy programs. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the headmaster applied four main strategies: integration strategy by embedding literacy programs into the school's daily routines; intensive strategy by increasing the frequency of literacy activities; diversification strategy through varied reading activities; and defensive strategy by strengthening literacy habits and teacher role modeling. Furthermore, literacy culture management was supported by optimizing library facilities, implementing regular library visits, integrating literacy into the curriculum, and conducting routine supervision. This study concludes that the strategic role of the headmaster as an instructional leader significantly influences the strengthening of literacy culture in the madrasah environment. The developed literacy culture not only enhances academic skills but also shapes students' character to become literate, critical thinkers, and morally upright individuals in line with Islamic educational values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the leadership strategies of the headmaster in enhancing institutional reputation at Pondok Pesantren Salaf Al-Maliki Pekalongan. The background of this research is based on existing challenges, including weak institutional exposure, suboptimal community participation, and a lack of structured institutional branding. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the headmaster applies a transformational and participatory leadership style by emphasizing the character development of teachers and students. The main strategies implemented include strengthening traditional educational methods such as sorogan, bandongan, and kitab kuning recitation without translations (kosongan), which foster close teacher-student relationships and reinforce the identity of classical Islamic scholarship (salafiyah). The headmaster also applies open and collaborative managerial communication with the kyai (spiritual leader), teachers, and the community, along with a value-based selection process for recruiting educators. The study concludes that a combination of value-based leadership, classical educational programs, and collaborative communication contributes positively to the institution's reputation, as reflected in increased public trust, teacher comfort, and student motivation. This study recommends strengthening value-based strategic leadership and preserving salafiyah educational traditions as key factors in the successful development of modern Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of supervision based on Qur’anic values as a strategic approach to addressing the challenges faced by Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era. The global transformation marked by rapid digitalization requires Islamic educational institutions not only to adapt technologically but also to uphold the integrity of spiritual and moral values. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review combined with field studies at Samingun Barakatul Ummah Foundation (Shaum), Wonogiri. The findings indicate that educational supervision grounded in Qur’anic values effectively bridges the need for technological mastery with the strengthening of moral character. Supervision at Shaum Foundation serves not only administrative oversight but also instills Qur’anic principles such as justice (al-‘adl), trustworthiness (amanah), honesty (ash-shidq), compassion (ar-rahmah), patience (ash-shabr), and knowledge (al-‘ilm). The implementation of Qur’anic-based supervision is reflected in the development of an integrative curriculum, digital literacy training infused with Islamic values, the reinforcement of collective leadership, and institutional governance that integrates technology with sharia-based values. This study concludes that Qur’anic-based supervision effectively enhances teachers’ professionalism, students’ character formation, and adaptive educational management capable of embracing technological advancement without compromising Islamic identity. These findings are expected to provide strategic recommendations for the development of relevant and competitive Islamic educational supervision in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis secara mendalam praktik supervisi akademik kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di MTs Al-Falah Cicalengka Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kepala madrasah telah menginisiasi lima program supervisi akademik, yaitu supervisi tahunan berbasis perencanaan kelembagaan, supervisi bulanan dengan pendekatan coaching dan mentoring, workshop tematik sesuai kebutuhan guru, forum refleksi diri guru PAI, serta pembinaan ruhiyah guru melalui kegiatan keagamaan rutin. Pelaksanaan supervisi ini menunjukkan kontribusi positif terhadap penguatan profesionalisme guru PAI, baik dalam aspek pedagogik, pengembangan strategi pembelajaran, maupun internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun demikian, peneliti juga menemukan sejumlah hambatan substantif yang menghambat efektivitas supervisi akademik, seperti keterbatasan manajemen waktu kepala madrasah, lemahnya kompetensi guru dalam menyusun perangkat ajar, belum optimalnya penguasaan teknik coaching, minimnya dokumentasi supervisi, hingga rendahnya partisipasi aktif guru dalam program pengembangan diri. Temuan penelitian ini selaras dengan teori supervisi akademik partisipatif dan transformatif dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam, yang menempatkan supervisi tidak hanya sebagai instrumen pengawasan administratif, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembinaan profesional secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi supervisi akademik di madrasah dapat dilakukan melalui penguatan pola supervisi partisipatif, pelatihan teknik coaching bagi kepala madrasah, pengembangan sistem dokumentasi supervisi, serta revitalisasi program pembinaan ruhiyah yang berkelanjutan. Peneliti merekomendasikan agar madrasah lebih memfokuskan supervisi akademik pada aspek pembinaan karakter dan kompetensi guru secara holistik guna mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct a model of educational supervision based on the emotional intelligence of school principals within the context of vocational secondary schools (SMK). The research is grounded in the observation that current supervision practices remain predominantly administrative and lack emotional engagement, despite the fact that effective supervision largely depends on the quality of the relationship between principals and teachers. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Research subjects include the school principal, vice principals, and teachers at SMK Nurul Haromain Pujon, Malang Regency. The findings indicate that the principal has demonstrated various dimensions of emotional intelligence—such as empathy, self-regulation, and interpersonal communication—within supervision practices, although not yet through a structured framework. Emotional intelligence significantly contributes to improving teacher motivation, discipline, and the overall health of workplace relationships. Based on these findings, a conceptual model of emotionally intelligent supervision is proposed, consisting of three stages: emotional diagnosis, reflective dialogue, and collective action. This model is more personal, adaptive, and empowering, and is considered more suitable for the vocational school context, especially those with strong religious values. The results are expected to serve as an alternative model for more humanistic and contextual educational supervision practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di SDIT Ya Bunayya. Hasil pengamatan awal menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah secara aktif menerapkan model supervisi partisipatif dan transformatif. Supervisi dilaksanakan secara terstruktur melalui evaluasi pembelajaran, pembinaan guru secara rutin, serta penguatan karakter Islami yang terintegrasi dalam aktivitas keseharian sekolah. Penerapan praktik ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran, penerapan metode pembelajaran aktif berbasis siswa, serta semakin kuatnya integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kurikulum pembelajaran. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan sejumlah tantangan, seperti masih adanya guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran yang inovatif, penerapan model pembelajaran aktif yang belum konsisten, serta internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter Islami yang belum merata di semua mata pelajaran. Temuan ini sejalan dengan berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukkan persoalan serupa dalam praktik supervisi kepala sekolah.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik supervisi kepala sekolah di SDIT Ya Bunayya mengarah pada model supervisi partisipatif-transformatif yang terinspirasi dari teori manajemen pendidikan modern dan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan Islami, khususnya yang diajarkan oleh Abuya Sayyid Muhammad Alawi Al-Maliki yang menekankan prinsip keadilan (al-‘adl), kasih sayang (ar-raḥmah), dan kebijaksanaan (al-ḥikmah). Penelitian menemukan bahwa meskipun telah diimplementasikan berbagai program pembinaan terstruktur seperti penguatan ruhaniyah, pelatihan pedagogik aktif, pengembangan inovasi kurikulum, dan pembinaan karakter Islami, masih terdapat kelemahan pada aspek monitoring yang berkelanjutan, partisipasi guru, komunikasi efektif, serta pengelolaan administrasi yang profesional. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas supervisi dapat ditingkatkan melalui penguatan pembinaan profesional, sistem monitoring yang berkelanjutan, forum komunikasi terbuka, pengembangan ruhaniyah yang terstruktur, serta sistem penghargaan yang adil bagi guru. Pendekatan supervisi holistik ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran baik dari sisi akademik maupun pembinaan karakter Islami di SDIT Ya Bunayya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam supervisi guna membangun budaya literasi di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nahdlatun Nasyiin Batubintang Pamekasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan aktif dalam melakukan supervisi yang meliputi pembinaan guru dan pengembangan program literasi seperti membaca kitab sorogan, menghafal, dan menulis. Program literasi didukung oleh sarana perpustakaan sederhana, , dan rak baca keliling. Meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan waktu, fasilitas, dan motivasi, kepala sekolah menerapkan strategi pengaturan jadwal, pelatihan guru, serta peningkatan keterlibatan wali santri dan masyarakat untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peran kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor sangat penting dalam membangun dan mempertahankan budaya literasi yang berkelanjutan di madrasah.

Abstract

This study investigates students' perceptions of peer feedback in English speaking classes at the Foreign Language Development Institute (LPBA), Nurul Jadid University. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through classroom observations and in-depth interviews with eight intermediate-level learners. The results reveal that students generally hold positive views toward peer feedback, recognizing its role in increasing their awareness of language errors, improving fluency and pronunciation, and fostering greater speaking confidence. Despite these benefits, challenges such as vague suggestions and ineffective feedback delivery were noted. The study highlights the importance of training students in how to give and receive feedback effectively, suggesting that with proper guidance, peer feedback can be a valuable tool in developing speaking proficiency

Abstract

The article titled "Analysis of Customer Experience, Brand Image, and Religiosity in Influencing Customer Loyalty (Study on Boycotted Pro-Israel Products)" is a scientific paper aimed at building research hypotheses on the influence between variables that can be used in future studies within the scope of marketing management. The research method used is a library research method, sourcing from online media such as Google Scholar, Mendeley, and other academic platforms. The findings of this study reveal that, despite the widespread boycott of pro-Israel products, customer experience influences customer loyalty. Brand image positively influences customer loyalty in some places and vice versa. Some studies show that religiosity has a negative impact on loyalty, while others show that religiosity positively affects customer loyalty due to a good brand image.
