Abstract

In learning mathematics, teachers only use book media and lecture methods, namely the teacher explains then students take notes. Especially in the numerical material, the teacher has not used the maximum learning media, therefore making students unable to understand the numerical material as a whole. As for this research, formulating the problem "The use of media straws (Drinking Strawss) and number bags in improving mathematics learning outcomes in class IV UPTD SDN 104 Inpres Makkaraeng This type of research is a class action research (PTK). This class action research is an observation of learning activities in the form of an action, which is deliberately raised and occurs in a class together. The action is given by the teacher or with direction from the teacher carried out by students. During the implementation of cycle 2, observations on students were carried out using a previously prepared format or student observation sheet, which aims to determine the extent to which the Numbers Bag media can improve student learning outcomes. Reflection, At this stage of cycle 1, there were several students whose scores were still below the KKM, because students also did not fully understand the media directly exemplified by the researcher. In cycle 2, student learning outcomes have improved better than in cycle 1. This can be seen from the results of the post-test given as a benchmark for assessing the final results of the application of the number bag media on the learning outcomes of grade IV students. It is concluded that the use of straw media in mathematics learning can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of UPT SDN No.141 Makkaraeng. This is evidenced by the activities of grade IV students in learning mathematics using straw media have increased. This can be seen from the percentage of student activity in cycle I of 18,5% and increased by 62% to 81% in cycle II (3) the learning outcomes of grade IV students at UPT SDN No. 141 Inpres Makkaraeng on mathematics learning have increased from cycle I and cycle II. In cycle II, student learning outcomes have reached the success indicator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimental dengan model design One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data tes hasil belajar matematika (pretest dan postest), dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung dengan jumlah siswa 35 orang. Berdasarkan olah data menggunakan uji-t disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pengaruh peningkatkan hasil belajar siswa setelah diberikan model TGT sebesar 23,3%.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study with a quasy experiment research method involving two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The purpose of this study was to analyze the interaction effect of Group Investigation (GI) learning method and learning independence on mathematics learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMPN 17 Makassar. The affordable population in this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 17 Makassar. While the research sample was randomly selected two classes from all VII classes of SMPN 17 Makassar with the assumption that all classes were homogeneous. The research method used is a quasy experimental with the research hypothesis test technique used is two-way ANOVA with factorial 2 x 2. The data analysis requirements test used is normality test and homogeneity test. The test results showed that all data groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is no interaction effect of Group Investigation (GI) learning method and learning independence on math learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, it is sought that teachers in learning mathematics apply the Group Investigation (GI) learning method and try to increase student learning independence

Abstract

The type of research used in this study is pre-experiment research. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model on math learning outcomes. The research design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung with the total population of all students in grade VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung in the academic year 2023/2024 spread over 11 classes, namely class VIII-1 to class VIII-11, totaling 385 people. The sample selection technique was simple random sampling, the sample members selected were class VIII.1 SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung with 35 students, consisting of 20 female students and 15 male students. The instruments used in this study were student math learning outcomes tests (Pre Test and Post Test). Data collection techniques in this study were Documentation and Mathematics Learning Outcomes Test, this test was used to measure the level of understanding of mathematics learning outcomes in 8th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model had an effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of 8th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. This is evidenced by the results of the T-test of 4.35 with a significant level α = 5% and t.table = 2.042. Based on the test criteria, if the t.count ≥ t.table value is obtained, Ha is accepted or 4.35 ≥ 2.048, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, the effect of improving student learning outcomes after being given the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model is 23.3%.

Abstract

Mathematics learning activities in class V UPT SPF SD Inpres Jongaya students are still running monton, and lack of variety in delivering material. this results in student interest in learning, student learning activities and student learning outcomes are not optimal. Actions taken to solve these problems by applying rotary wheel learning media. This research was conducted on February 23-April 4, 2024 at UPT SPF SD Inpres Jongaya. The subject of the study was class V which amounted to 28 students. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). Data collection techniques are student interest data, student learning outcomes data, student learning activity data and teacher activity data. The types of data used are qualitative data and quantitative data. The results showed that the class average value during the pre-test reached 27.14. The average value in cycle 1 test results reached 62.14, increasing in cycle II by 81.42. Pre-action student learning interest reached 73.15 after the action increased to 82.91. It can be concluded that the use of rotary wheel media can increase interest and learning outcomes in mathematics in class V UPT SPF SD Inpres Jongaya. It is recommended that teachers can use the rotary wheel media in learning activities at school to increase student interest and learning outcomes in mathematics subjects.

Abstract

This research is a type of Pre-Experimental research. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning through the application of Rogers' approach in PGRI Tamalate 2 Makassar high school students. The research design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instruments used in this study were learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results in this study are the average mathematics learning outcomes of students after applying the Rogers Approach is 81.78 with a standard deviation of 9.24 and generally included in the high category. This result also shows that from the total number of students can be completed classically. The average normalized gain on student learning outcomes was 0.7 so that the increase in student learning outcomes was in the high category. The average percentage frequency of student activity was 83.09%, thus student activity reached active criteria. The average student response was 87.5%, thus students were classified as giving a positive response to the application of Rogers' approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show some student responses regarding mathematics materials in e-modules in the context of flat-sided space building materials. The responses are based on the standards for making mathematics materials which are divided into three categories, namely material, language, and interest. The method used in this research is using descriptive method with qualitative sampling. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students from one of the junior high schools in Mimika Regency. The data collection technique used in this study was a student response questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was Semantic Differentiation Scale. The results of student responses to mathematics e-modules on flat-sided space building material are in the excellent criteria or 90%.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of various types of media in mathematics learning. This research will examine the effectiveness, benefits and challenges faced in implementing learning media in mathematics classes. Research subjects are individuals, groups, or objects that are the main focus in a study. There are four types of research found in this research, namely Research and Development (R&D), Classroom Action Research, Qualitative Research and Quantitative Research. Based on the description of the article in this research, it was found that students' perceptions of the use of media in mathematics learning were very good, as were the teachers'. However, the use of learning media is still relatively low for several articles. This is due to the lack of competency development and training for teachers. Therefore, it is hoped that teachers can follow the increasingly rapid development of technology and by using media they can attract and direct students' attention to concentrate on lessons.

Abstract

This study uses a quasi-experimental method that aims to determine the improvement of mathematical communication skills of 8th grade students of MTs Al Irsyad Biringkaloro before and after the application of mathematics teaching materials based on the Inquiry Learning model. This study used an initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest) to compare students' abilities before and after learning. The research sample was taken purposively from class VIII-A. The research data were obtained through a test specifically designed to measure students' ability to communicate mathematically, and this test has been assessed as valid by experts. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the data in general, and inferential statistics (independent sample t-test) to test for significant differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed an increase in mathematical communication skills where the average value of the pretest was 64.15 with a sufficient category while in the posttest results 77.30 with a high category and the results of the independent sample t-test which showed that there was a positive effect of the Inquiry learning model mathematics teaching materials on the mathematical communication skills of 8th grade students of MTs Al Irsyad Biringkaloro

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the process of scientific approach assisted by Swishmax media in learning mathematics on the subject of cubes and blocks in eight classes of SMPN 01 Pakusari. The type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were one mathematics teacher in eight courses of SMPN 01 Pakusari and one colleague. Then for auxiliary subjects in this research were three students with high, medium, and low score categories. The data collection method used is in the form of observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method was carried out in 5 stages, namely data transcription, data reduction, validating or triangulating data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research obtained were preliminary activities containing greetings, praying together, attending, conveying learning objectives and conveying the material to be studied, and doing apperception. At the core of the activity is observing, asking questions, trying to reason, and communicating the mathematical ideas learned. The closing contains reflections by inviting students to make summaries, giving homework, then inviting students to pray, and closing the lesson with greetings.
