Abstract

This type of research is descriptive research. This study aims to determine the understanding of concepts in solving three-dimensional geometry problems in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. Furthermore, selecting samples with Cluster Random Sampling technique. The selected sample in this study is class XI Accounting Department. From this sample, interviews will be continued with 9 students consisting of 3 students in the high category, 3 students in the medium category, and 3 students in the low category. The instruments in this study in the form of concept understanding tests and interview guidelines used to determine the understanding of concepts in solving three-dimensional geometry problems in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistical analysis with the aim of describing the understanding of mathematical concepts of students in class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been stated, the conclusion in this study is the understanding of concepts in solving geometry problems of three dimensions in class XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar is on the indicators: (1) Concept understanding on indicator I, namely giving examples and not examples of a concept by 91%, (2) Concept understanding on indicator II, namely presenting concepts in various forms of mathematical representation by 53%, and (3) Concept understanding on indicator III, namely applying concepts or algorithms in problem solving by 57%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying pop-up book media on student learning outcomes in class IV material at MI Al-Abrar, Makassar City. This research uses a type of experimental research with a Quasi Experimental Design research design. The sample for this research was class IV A with 34 students as the experimental class and class IV B with 26 students as the control class. This research uses descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Learning outcomes can be seen from the experimental class posttest results, which have an average of 80.29, which is very different from the control class posttest results with an average of 64.42. The results of this research hypothesis obtained tcount > ttable or 6.220 > 2.00172 and the sig (2-tailed) value obtained was 0.000 then 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an influence of the application of pop-up book media on student learning outcomes in material on flat figures for class IV students at MI Al-Abrar, Makassar City. Through the data obtained, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of pop-up book media on student learning outcomes in the material of flat shapes for class IV students at MI Al-Abrar, Makassar City. The influence of pop-up book media can also be seen from students' learning activities during the learning process. Observation results mean the percentage of student learning activities in the experimental class was 73%, while in the control class it was 49%. So it can be concluded that the activity of experimental class students in the learning process of applying pop-up book media is more active compared to control class students.

Abstract

Background:Pelatihan gerakan literasi di sekolah dasar didasarkan pada pemahaman bahwa literasi merupakan keterampilan kunci yang harus dikuasai oleh setiap individu. Literasi mencakup kemampuan membaca, menulis, berbicara, dan mendengarkan dengan pemahaman yang baik. Gerakan literasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa, memperluas wawasan mereka, dan membantu mereka menjadi pembaca dan penulis yang lebih kompeten. Metode: Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan via zoom selama 3 hari atau setara dengan 30 jam pelajaran dan maksimal selama 6 hari atau setara dengan 960 jam pelajaran yang diikuti oleh guru di Kota Madiun. Hasil: Pelatihan gerakan literasi sekolah memberi landasan yang kuat untuk mengembangkan budaya literasi yang sehat di sekolah dan dapat mempengaruhi siswa secara positif dalam memperoleh keterampilan literasi yang penting untuk masa depan mereka. Kesimpulan: Guru telah memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya literasi dan bagaimana mengembangkan budaya literasi yang kuat di sekolah.

Abstract

The ability of students to understand the concept of learning varies, it is very necessary to know the level of understanding of students' concepts in learning mathematics, so that it becomes a rationale in determining the appropriate learning approach. This study aims to determine the effect learning approach of the ELPSA eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Makassar. The type of research used is experimental research. The design of this research is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Makassar in the 2019/2020 academic year and the research sample was determined by the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The instrument in this study was an essay test on understanding mathematical concepts. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential. The descriptive research results show that there is an increase in understanding of the mathematical concept after the application of the ELPSA learning approach; the score of concept understanding after the application of the ELPSA learning approach met the completeness criteria, namely more than 80; and completeness of students' conceptual understanding after being applied classical ELPSA learning approach is 97% complete. The inferential hypothesis testing results show that the application of the ELPSA learning approach affects the understanding of mathematical concepts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimental dengan model design One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data tes hasil belajar matematika (pretest dan postest), dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung dengan jumlah siswa 35 orang. Berdasarkan olah data menggunakan uji-t disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pengaruh peningkatkan hasil belajar siswa setelah diberikan model TGT sebesar 23,3%.

Abstract

This research is a type of Pre-Experimental research. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning through the application of Rogers' approach in PGRI Tamalate 2 Makassar high school students. The research design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instruments used in this study were learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results in this study are the average mathematics learning outcomes of students after applying the Rogers Approach is 81.78 with a standard deviation of 9.24 and generally included in the high category. This result also shows that from the total number of students can be completed classically. The average normalized gain on student learning outcomes was 0.7 so that the increase in student learning outcomes was in the high category. The average percentage frequency of student activity was 83.09%, thus student activity reached active criteria. The average student response was 87.5%, thus students were classified as giving a positive response to the application of Rogers' approach.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of various types of media in mathematics learning. This research will examine the effectiveness, benefits and challenges faced in implementing learning media in mathematics classes. Research subjects are individuals, groups, or objects that are the main focus in a study. There are four types of research found in this research, namely Research and Development (R&D), Classroom Action Research, Qualitative Research and Quantitative Research. Based on the description of the article in this research, it was found that students' perceptions of the use of media in mathematics learning were very good, as were the teachers'. However, the use of learning media is still relatively low for several articles. This is due to the lack of competency development and training for teachers. Therefore, it is hoped that teachers can follow the increasingly rapid development of technology and by using media they can attract and direct students' attention to concentrate on lessons.

Abstract

According to the interview results, students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bontoala Makassar have good mathematical problem-solving skills. However, some students still find it difficult to solve math issues in the form of non-routine questions. According to other research, learning styles, notably kinesthetic learning styles, have a considerable impact on students' ability to solve mathematical problems. This study aims to describe the profile of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities based on Polya's theory (understand, strategy, solve and look back) in terms of kinesthetic learning styles. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, and the data collection techniques in this study used three ways, namely filling out questionnaires, giving tests, and interviews. From the data collection techniques, the results obtained that two (2) students with kinesthetic learning styles have high problem-solving scores with an average of 77.5 and only fulfill three stages of problem-solving based on Polya's theory. Therefore, the teacher must pay attention to the tendency of kinesthetic learning styles in order to be able to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Abstrak: Berdasarkan pada hasil wawancara yang diperoleh, menyatakan bahwa siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bontoala Makassar yang mempunyai kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika yang baik, ternyata masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang sulit dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbentuk masalah non rutin. Data lain menyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar secara signifikan termasuk gaya belajar kinestetik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berdasarkan teori menurut Polya (understand, strategy, solve dan look back) ditinjau dari gaya belajar kinestetik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpukan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga cara yaitu pengisian kuesioner, pemberian tes dan wawancara. Dari teknik pengumpulan data tersebut, maka diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa 2 orang siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik mempunyai nilai pemecahan masalah yang tinggi dengan rata-rata 77,5 dan hanya memenuhi tiga tahap pemecahan masalah berdasarkan teori Polya. Oleh karena itu guru harus memperhatikan kecenderungan gaya belajar kinestetik agar mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using digital platforms on students' numeracy literacy skills. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were grade XI students at PGRI Tamalate High School Makassar, with grade XI.A as the experimental group using the digital platform and XI.B as the control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through PISA standard-based numeracy literacy test and student and teacher perception questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test).The results showed that the use of digital platforms significantly improved students' numeracy literacy skills, with a significant difference in post-test scores between the experimental (85.14) and control (72.46) groups (p < 0.05). The questionnaire also revealed that students and teachers had positive perceptions of the use of digital platforms in learning. This finding is in line with technology-based learning theory that supports active interaction and student engagement in understanding numeracy concepts. This study recommends the continuous integration of digital platforms in learning, supported by teacher training and technological infrastructure improvements, to improve the quality of numeracy education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in interactive learning on improving students' numeracy literacy. The research method used is a mixed method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were obtained through numeracy literacy tests before and after the application of AI, while qualitative data were collected through observations and interviews. The results showed a significant increase in students' numeracy literacy scores after using AI, with normalized gain values indicating high effectiveness. In addition, observations and interviews revealed that students were more active, independent, and engaged in AI-based learning, despite obstacles such as limited access to technology and the need for additional guidance from lecturers. In conclusion, AI contributes positively to improving students' numeracy literacy, but optimizing its application requires adequate infrastructure support and combination with conventional learning methods. This research provides implications for the development of AI-based educational technology in higher education.
