Abstract

The Camp & Tour activity is not only a recreational program for students, but can also be developed as a medium for community service through social care-based activities. This article aims to describe the implementation of student social concern in the Camp & Tour program of Institut Budi Utomo Nasional (IBUN) Majalengka through a social service activity. The program was conducted at Gunung Laya (GL-20), Argasari Village, Talaga District, Majalengka Regency, with 45 underprivileged households and elderly residents as the main beneficiaries. The activity was implemented using a participatory community service approach through several stages, namely preparation, location survey, coordination with local community leaders, fundraising and logistics preparation, distribution of basic-needs packages, environmental clean-up activities, light educational sessions, observation, and student reflection. The evaluation was conducted descriptively through field observation, documentation of activities, informal community responses, and student reflection after the program. The results show that the integration of social service into the Camp & Tour program can transform outdoor student activities from purely recreational events into meaningful community engagement. The program provided direct material benefits through the distribution of basic-needs packages, encouraged environmental awareness through collective clean-up activities, and strengthened students’ empathy, teamwork, leadership, and sense of social responsibility. In addition, the positive response and participation of local residents indicate that the program helped build institutional relations between the campus and the local community. This activity demonstrates that Camp & Tour can be directed as a practical model of student-based community service that integrates recreation, character building, and social contribution.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, the integration of AI into PAI instruction at STAI Sirojul Falah Bogor remains limited, as teaching practices still rely heavily on conventional methods and participants face challenges related to limited learning resources, digital literacy, and interactive instructional design. This community service activity aimed to optimize the use of NotebookLM as a source-based AI tool to support more efficient, accessible, and contextual PAI learning. The activity was implemented through a hybrid online and offline workshop on Friday, April 17, 2026, at STAI Sirojul Falah Bogor, involving PAI lecturers, students, and members of the academic community. The method included material preparation, introduction to AI in education, NotebookLM feature demonstration, guided hands-on practice, AI-assisted PAI learning simulations, discussion, and reflective evaluation. The results showed that participants were able to use NotebookLM to upload PAI learning materials, generate AI-assisted summaries, develop study guide drafts, create source-based quiz questions, and formulate discussion prompts grounded in uploaded sources. The workshop also strengthened participants’ awareness of ethical AI use, particularly in relation to source verification, responsible interpretation of AI outputs, and the need to align AI-generated materials with Islamic educational values. These findings indicate that NotebookLM can support PAI learning by helping lecturers and students transform religious education materials into more structured, interactive, and source-based learning resources. This activity contributes to strengthening digital literacy and provides a practical model for integrating AI tools ethically and contextually within Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has reshaped higher education and academic writing practices, particularly in supporting students’ ability to manage references and citations more efficiently. However, undergraduate students often experience difficulties in identifying scholarly sources, formatting references, integrating citations into academic drafts, and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated citation outputs. This community engagement activity aimed to strengthen students’ academic literacy through an AI-assisted automated citation workshop using Scite AI and Jenni AI. The workshop was conducted online on Saturday, April 25, 2026, through the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Al Irsyad Cilacap, and involved approximately 50 undergraduate students from the Entrepreneurship and Digital Business Program. The activity was implemented through conceptual explanation, live demonstration, hands-on citation practice, manuscript integration simulation, mentoring, and reflective discussion. The results showed that students were able to practice AI-assisted reference searching, generate citations, format reference lists, and integrate citations into short academic writing drafts. The workshop also encouraged students to verify AI-generated outputs, compare citation formats with academic writing standards, and understand the importance of ethical source use. The main outputs of the activity included AI-assisted reference lists, citation-formatted writing drafts, and student reflection on responsible AI use in academic writing. This activity demonstrates that AI-assisted citation training can support students’ scholarly writing skills when combined with practical exercises, output verification, and academic integrity awareness. Follow-up mentoring and integration of AI citation literacy into research writing courses are recommended to sustain students’ citation competence and responsible use of AI tools.

Abstract

This community service article reports an integrated education and social-support program implemented through the 2024 community service placement in Kedawung Village, Cirebon Regency. The program responded to partner-identified needs related to additional learning support for children, Qur'anic literacy assistance, limited educational facilities, environmental cleanliness, village administrative services, maternal and child health activities, and community-based hydroponic cultivation. The activities were conducted from 22 January to 19 February 2024, preceded by a field observation on 17 January 2024. A participatory approach was used through coordination with the village government, elementary school, kindergarten, At-Taufiq Qur'anic learning centre, village midwife, and women's group. The intervention included classroom assistance and ice-breaking activities, after-school tutoring, Qur'anic reading and correction, provision of organic and inorganic waste bins, community clean-up, Posyandu assistance, hydroponic cultivation, and support for public services at the village office. Program records and photographic documentation showed that all planned activity clusters were implemented, children participated actively, 10–15 primary-school-aged children regularly attended the Qur'anic learning sessions, and partners were directly involved in delivery. The principal contribution of the program was an integrated, low-cost collaboration model that connected formal, non-formal, and community learning spaces. The absence of standardized pre-test and post-test data limits causal claims; therefore, future programs should use measurable learning indicators and a partner-led follow-up plan.

Abstract

Vitamin A supplementation is a routine child-health service delivered through Posyandu, yet limited cadre availability can disrupt registration, participant flow, counselling, and documentation during service days. This community service program aimed to support the delivery of vitamin A supplementation for toddlers at Tri Jaya Posyandu, RW 01, Kedungjaya Village, Cirebon Regency. The program was conducted on 6 February 2024 through a participatory partnership between Posyandu cadres and STIE Cirebon community service students. Needs were identified through preliminary observation and coordination with cadres, followed by preparation of the service flow, participant registration, assistance during age and record verification, support for the administration of age-appropriate vitamin A by authorized Posyandu personnel, and post-activity reflection. Program evaluation used attendance records, an implementation checklist, and field notes. Twenty-one toddlers participated in and completed the service process. Student involvement helped cadres organize registration, direct caregivers through the service stations, support documentation in maternal and child health records, and maintain an orderly flow despite limited cadre availability. The immediate output was a completed vitamin A service session for all attending participants and a clearer division of operational tasks between cadres and students. Because the program did not use a pretest-posttest design and did not have the total eligible-population denominator for RW 01, the findings represent process achievement rather than village-level coverage or long-term health impact. Continued cadre-led follow-up and updated target lists are recommended.

Abstract

This community service program described the implementation and immediate outputs of a one-day collaborative blood donation drive in Kertawinangun Village, Kedawung District, Cirebon, Indonesia. The activity was conducted on 3 February 2024 by the Cirebon Indonesian Red Cross, the village government, and STIE Cirebon. The program comprised logistical preparation, pre-donation information, registration, confidential clinical screening, blood collection by authorized personnel, post-donation observation, and brief participant feedback. Evaluation used descriptive process and output indicators covering participant characteristics, screening eligibility, completed donations, blood bags collected, and immediate responses. Twenty-five people registered, including 8 men and 17 women. Seventeen participants (68%) met the screening requirements and completed donation, producing 17 blood bags; 8 participants (32%) were temporarily deferred. Brief feedback indicated that some participants initially feared the procedure but reported relief and satisfaction after donation. The program demonstrated a feasible village-campus-Red Cross role-sharing model: the village mobilized participants and provided the venue, the campus team supported nonclinical operations, and the Red Cross managed screening and blood collection. Because no standardized pretest, posttest, or longitudinal follow-up was used, the program does not claim changes in knowledge or repeat-donation behavior. Future activities should include structured education evaluation, aggregate deferral records, and follow-up communication for eligible and temporarily deferred donors.

Abstract

This community service program addressed weak product identity and basic packaging among members of the Family Welfare Empowerment group (PKK) in Wanakaya Village, Gunung Jati District, Cirebon Regency. The program aimed to develop a practical and affordable visual identity, improve packaging consistency, and strengthen participants’ understanding of branding without making unsupported claims about sales or income. Fifteen active PKK members involved in local food production participated in three sequential phases: a baseline review of existing products, a branding and packaging workshop followed by participatory design, and a qualitative evaluation of the resulting prototype. Data were drawn from product observation, participant feedback, program documentation, and informal comments from local consumers and vendors, then organized thematically and summarized through a SWOT analysis. The program produced a shared “Bubur Bayi” logo and label sheet, together with a labeled transparent-container prototype. Compared with the initial unbranded presentation, the output provided clearer product identification and more consistent visual presentation. Participants and local respondents considered the prototype more recognizable and attractive, although concerns remained regarding printing cost, packaging material, label size, product information, and the balance between local identity and contemporary aesthetics. Because the original program records did not contain numerical pre–post scores, evaluator counts, or longitudinal sales data, the verified outcome is limited to visual-identity development and perceived packaging improvement. Continued mentoring, complete label information, and market testing are recommended before wider commercialization.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has reshaped higher education and research practices, particularly in supporting students’ ability to plan, draft, and refine scientific articles. However, many undergraduate students still face difficulties in developing academic outlines, synthesizing literature, organizing arguments, applying scholarly writing conventions, and validating sources. This community engagement activity aimed to introduce AI-assisted scientific writing using Qwen and Avidnote to students in the Entrepreneurship and Digital Business Program at Universitas Al Irsyad Cilacap. The activity was conducted as an interactive online workshop on Saturday, April 18, 2026, through the Faculty of Economics and Business, involving approximately 50 undergraduate students. The workshop consisted of conceptual explanation, live demonstrations, hands-on practice, guided drafting, discussion, and reflective feedback. Since the activity did not include complete quantitative evaluation data, the results are reported descriptively based on workshop implementation, participant engagement, observed practice, and learning outputs. The results showed that participants were able to practice AI-assisted article outlining, literature synthesis, paragraph development, draft refinement, and source validation using Qwen and Avidnote. The main outputs of the activity included AI-assisted article outlines, preliminary academic writing drafts, revised paragraphs, and reflection notes on ethical AI use. The workshop also emphasized that AI-generated outputs must be reviewed critically, adjusted to academic writing standards, and supported by valid scholarly sources. This activity indicates that AI-assisted writing workshops can support undergraduate students’ academic literacy when combined with guided practice, source verification, and academic integrity awareness. Follow-up mentoring, AI writing clinics, and integration of responsible AI use into academic writing courses are recommended to strengthen students’ long-term scientific writing competence.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to build the digital marketing readiness of BUMDes managers, women farmer groups, rural micro, small, and medium enterprise actors, local product producers, and village tourism representatives in Rancakalong Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java. The activity was conducted on 19 May 2026 and involved 21 participants. A participatory and experiential approach was applied through needs assessment, short lectures, demonstrations, smartphone-based practice, mentoring, output review, and follow-up planning. The training covered product mapping, smartphone product photography, promotional caption writing, WhatsApp Business, online marketplace preparation, product labels and packaging, and digital promotion of village tourism resources. The implementation evidence showed that the partner community had diverse economic potential, including local food, herbal beverages, coffee, processed fish products, cultural attractions, and nature-based tourism. However, marketing activities still relied mainly on personal WhatsApp accounts, word-of-mouth communication, and local customer networks. The program generated an initial mapping of priority products and tourism resources, draft promotional content, product-information components, and recommendations for developing shared digital marketing channels under BUMDes coordination. The principal practical finding was that village digital marketing readiness depends not only on access to digital devices but also on product presentation, content quality, customer-oriented communication, product legality, and institutional coordination. Continued mentoring is required to strengthen packaging, certification, marketplace management, and consistent content production.
