Abstract

Comprehensive Care is continuous care from pregnancy to Family Planning (FP). Comprehensive care aims to provide quality services and prevent maternal and child mortality. The purpose of this case study is to provide comprehensive care to mothers from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care using the documentation of the Seven Steps of Varney and SOAP. This assessment was conducted from January to April 2024 through data collection methods, interviews, and observations. Pregnancy care included three visits with the first day of the last menstrual period on July 12, 2023, and the expected delivery date on April 19, 2024. During the first, second, and third visits, the general condition of the mother was found to be good. Labor care was provided on April 24, 2024, at 11:30 AM when the mother came to the Midwife's Independent Practice, accompanied by her husband, complaining of abdominal pain since 08:00 AM and discharge mixed with blood. An internal examination revealed 4 cm dilation. At 4:00 PM, labor management was carried out. The delivery process was normal with the 60 Steps of Active Management of the Third Stage of Labor (AMTSL), the baby was born normal, male, weighing 2500 grams, with a length of 47 cm, and immediate newborn care was performed. Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that occurs worldwide caused by suboptimal nutritional intake from pregnancy to 24 months or 2 years of age. Stunting in childhood is associated with delays in motor development and lower intelligence levels. Symptoms shown by stunting sufferers include a child's height that is shorter than children of the same age, the child looks smaller for his age, low body weight, and delayed bone growth (Laska et al., 2024). Stunting has short-term and long-term impacts. In the short term, stunting causes depression of immune function, metabolic changes, decreased motor development, low cognitive values, and low academic values (Widjayatri et al., 2020). Meanwhile, the long-term impacts of children with stunting include, when they grow up, they will be at risk of obesity, coronary heart disease, hypertension, osteoporosis, decreased work performance, and productivity (Dekasari & Gunawan, 2024)

Abstract

Posyandu Ngadi Asih has a cadre of 20 people and has implemented 5 posyandu service tables but it is not yet optimal. The initial survey at Posyandu Ngadi Asih Surakarta found children who indicated mental and emotional problems such as impulsive tantrums (fussing with shouting and throwing objects) when their wishes were not met, anger when restricted in using gadgets, hitting their peers, and being reluctant to go to school because they were afraid. The problem found at Posyandu Ngadi Asih was that early detection examinations for mental, emotional and behavioral health had not been carried out. This is due to the limited knowledge and skills of cadres. The root of the problem is that there is no instrument for early detection of mental, emotional and behavioral problems, so that so far at Posyandu Ngadi Asih there has been no recap of data on children who experience mental, emotional and behavioral problems. The solution offered by this program is the Implementation of the Emotional Mental Problems Information System (SIEMPRO). Implementation method with 6 (six) stages, namely preparation, apperception, training, mentoring, evaluation and termination. The results of the program for implementing the Emotional Mental Problems Information System (SIEMPRO) at Posyandu Ngadi Asih have gone well. There was an increase in cadre skills after the activities were carried out, although not completely. Some cadres still need assistance from skilled cadres. The implementation of the Emotional Mental Problems Information System (SIEMPRO) is ready to be implemented at the Ngadi Asih posyandu. The cadres are committed to implementing and applying the results of this program in every posyandu activity and when providing support for Toddler Family Development

Abstract

Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism in the body, generated from the breakdown of purine substances found in certain foods. When uric acid levels in the body exceed normal limits due to excessive production or impaired excretion, uric acid crystals can accumulate in the joints, leading to a condition known as gout. This Community Service initiative aims to enhance understanding among adults regarding the risks of high uric acid levels and preventive efforts through routine screening and health education. The program is structured using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method to provide comprehensive education on risk factors and prevention, as well as to assess participants' uric acid levels. This initiative emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle and routine examinations as preventive measures, supporting early detection and management of health risks related to uric acid. The continuity of this service activity is expected to improve community quality of life over time.

Abstract

The main cause of maternal mortality is bleeding (28%), as well as SDKI 2012 data shows that the highest cause of maternal mortality is bleeding (42%). This is due to three delays that occur, namely being late in recognizing the danger signs and making decisions; late arrival at health facilities; and late in getting services at health facilities. These three delays can be prevented by providing knowledge and understanding to pregnant women about danger signs in childbirth, if you experience immediately coming to the health center or health workers so that delays can be prevented, you immediately get help which can ultimately reduce the case of your death. The purpose of the activity is to increase the understanding and ability of pregnant women to recognize the danger signs of pregnancy early, immediately seek help so that mothers and babies are safe and have an impact on decreasing the Maternal Mortality Rate. The service method used in its implementation is the stage of preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities. The results of the activity were obtained to increase the knowledge of mothers and families about the danger signs in pregnancy, early detection of prevention and early actions that must be taken/handled to prevent maternal and child deaths.

Abstract

Symptoms that indicate the need for attention for the mother and fetus are known as danger signs of pregnancy. To better recognize early signs of pregnancy risks, expectant mothers should schedule regular check-ups, which can help identify potential complications. Early detection of the risk of complications during pregnancy is also influenced by the mother's knowledge. Mothers' ignorance of signs of pregnancy risk can be influenced by various factors. Apart from the level of knowledge, exposure to information about the danger signs of pregnancy can also influence the mother's knowledge regarding recognizing the danger signs of pregnancy. The aim of this activity is to increase respondents' knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy. Socialization methods in the form of lectures and questions and answers were used in this activity using leaflets and banner stands. Activity Results: Respondents were very enthusiastic about the material presented and there were several respondents who asked questions. The conclusion of this activity is that the better a pregnant woman understands these warning signs, the more she will be aware of the risks and complications that may occur related to her pregnancy.

Abstract

Pregnant women need nutrition to stay healthy. This is done by increasing and varying the food consumed, but do not increase the portion size and also limit the diet because it can harm the fetus in the womb. Chronic Energy Deficiency is a condition where a pregnant woman experiences a lack of food for a long period of time (chronic or chronic), giving rise to health problems such as being unable to meet the increased nutritional needs during pregnancy. Pregnant women who suffer from CED have a higher risk of giving birth with lower birth weight (LBW) than pregnant women without CED. The aim of this activity is to increase respondents' knowledge regarding how to prevent and treat CED. Socialization methods in the form of lectures and questions and answers are used in this activity using leaflets as media. Activity Results: Respondents were very enthusiastic about the material presented and there were several respondents who asked questions. The conclusion of this educational activity was successfully carried out to increase knowledge and awareness of pregnant women about the importance of preventing and treating Chronic Energy Deficiency Disorders (CED).
