Abstract

Abstract — Understanding concept is a basic ability thati needs to be mastered by students. However in reality, this level of understanding for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang is still low. The solustion is to apply learning cycle 7e learning models. The purpose of this study is to show that the understanding of the concept of learners who use the learning cycle 7e learning model is better than the conventional learning model. The type of research used was a quasy experiment whit the non-equivalent posttest-only control group design. The population is students of class VIII SMP Negeri 34 Padang, class VIII.6 and VIII.7 as the sample class. The instrument used was the final test of concept understanding. After the t-test was conducted, the P-value  means that H0 is rejected. So it is concluded that the understanding of the concept of students who use the learning cycle 7e learning model is beter than those using the conventional learning model. In the other words, the application of learning cycle 7e model can improve concept understanding students class VIII SMPN 34 Padang.Keywords —Learning Cycle 7E, Understanding of Mathematical Concept, Conventional  Learning

Abstract

Ability of matematical comunication is one of purpose have must have by student in the learning mathematic. However to reality, student's mathematical communication ability grade VII SMP 3 Padang still low. one of the way improve to it problem is with use cooperative learning model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) type. The aim of this study is to describe if student's mathematical communication ability acquire learning with cooperative learning model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) type better than student acquire study with convensional and student response to cooperative learning model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) type. This type of research is descriptive and quasi-experiment. The instrument use is a mathematical communication ability test and questionnaire. Abstract

Teaching materials are one of the tools that can support learning in achieving learning objectives, but the teaching materials used in learning are not sufficient for all students and the available teaching materials are not able to support learning optimally. This study aims to develop discovery learning based materials using android. This development research uses the Plomp development model which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary stage of the prototype making stage and the assessment stage. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that discovery learning based teaching materials using android have met the valid criteria in terms of content and construction, and have met the practical criteria in their application based on student questionnaires. Keywords — Teaching materials, discovery learning, Android

Abstract

- Students want to master math topics. The conceptual knowledge of Phase F students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang is poor. CORE helps children learn math. This study compares the CORE learning paradigm to normal learning methods to increase arithmetic comprehension. The study examined SMA Negeri 5 Padang Grade XI students' arithmetic knowledge. The study used a posttest-only non-equivalent control group. Final essay tests tested experimental and control groups' mathematical understanding. Data analysis yielded 0.000 P-value. Strong evidence rejects the null hypothesis () with a P-value below α. The CORE learning technique helped SMA Negeri 5 Padang Class XI IPA students understand arithmetic better than the traditional strategy.Keywords– Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending  Model, Understanding Mathematical Concepts, Conventional Learning

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is one of the goals of mathematics learning that must be achieve by student. But in reality the understanding of mathematical concepts of student in class VIII of SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam is still can be improve because learning activities in schools have not facilitated students to improve their understanding of mathematical concept. One effort that can be used to overcome these problems is to apply the Team Assisted Individualization type of cooperative learning model. The type of this research is quasy-experiment and descriptive research design with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that understanding the mathematical concepts of students learning by using Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning models is better than understanding mathematical concepts of students learning by direct learning in class VIII SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam. Then, the development of students' mathematical concept understanding during the Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning model has increased. Keywords – Cooperative learning, team assisted individualization, understanding of mathematical concept

Abstract

Mathematical communication skill is one of the abilities that must be managed and owned by each student.Based on the results of observations and tests given, students' mathematical communication skill are lacking. One contributing factor is learning that has not been fully able to facilitate students to be able to develop their mathematical communication skills. The learning model that can facilitate students to improve their mathematical communication skills is cooperative learningmodels type Formulate, Share, Listen, And Create (FSLC). The purpose of this study was to determine and describe whether the mathematical communication skills of students who learn using cooperative learning models type FSLC is better than the mathematical communication skills of students who learn by using direct learning models in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that mathematical communication skills of students who study with cooperative learning models type FSLC is better than students who learn with direct learning models in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari. Keyword – Mathematical communication skill, CooperativeLearning, Formulate Share Listen and Create, Direct Learning

Abstract

Mathematics learning can be said to be achieved if students understand mathematical concepts, one of its objectives. Based on observations, class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi have low understanding of mathematical concepts. Using the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning model can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This model uses a discussion method to activate and develop students' thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to find out whether students who took lessons using the CORE learning model had better understanding of mathematical concepts than students who took lessons using conventional learning models in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. Research methods are quasi-experimental. SMA Negeri 4 Bukittinggi's class XI MIPA students in the 2022/2023 academic year were the population of this study. Sampling was done randomly (simple random sampling), XI MIPA 1 was selected as the experimental class and XI MIPA 4 as the control class. This study used essays to test understanding of mathematical concepts. Using data analysis, it was determined that the CORE learning model affected students' understanding of mathematical concepts, students with the CORE learning model understood mathematical concepts better than students with conventional learning models at  α = 0.05.Keywords – CORE learning model,  understanding of mathematical concepts, conventional learning model.

Abstract

The understanding of mathematical concept has a very important role in achieving the learning objectives, because it’s a basic ability to be owned by students. The understanding of mathematical conceptshould be developed in learning process. However, mathematics learning that occurred in the class XI IPS SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang does not optimally to facilitate students in the process to find the concepts. The purpose of this research is to figure out whetherthe understanding of mathematical concept ofstudent who have been taught using cooperative learning model type STAD is better than using conventional model in class XI IPS SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang. The type of this research is quasy experiment with design is Static Group Design. Data were collected by using test of understanding of mathematical concept. Data were analyzed by using Mann-Whitney test. Abstract

Understanding of mathematical concepts is one of the purpose in mathematics learning. Understanding of mathematical concepts is the foundation for students to understand mathematics. But infact, Understanding of mathematical concepts  of students at second grade SMPN 21 Padang waslow. It is caused by learning model that used has not facilitated students to develop their Understanding of mathematical concepts.One effort to overcome this problem is by applying Student Team Achievement Division of Cooperative Learning in mathematics learnings.This learning model helps students to develop their Understanding of mathematical concepts. The type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Static Group Design. The research hypothesis is carried out by using the t-test. Abstract

Modules may be used to educate. School modules don't relate the information to the actual world and deliver the ideas and material straight. This may affect underdeveloped kids' arithmetic skills.  Therefore, developing valid, practical, and effective RME-based modules to increase students' concept comprehension.  The Plomp development model is used in this R&D. Preliminary research, prototyping, and evaluation are the research steps. The designed module was valid with an average of 86.79%, practical in the small group assessment stage with 81.59%, and practical at the field test stage with 81.41%. The field test showed that the curriculum improved SMA N 4 Bukittinggi students' concept comprehension.Keywords – Module, Realistic Mathematic Education, Concept Understanding, Plomp
