Abstract

The capital of Aceh Province, Indonesia, Banda Aceh, has experienced a number of problems with the handling of municipal solid waste due to an increasing urban population. Problems with waste management are also getting worse as a result of inadequate infrastructure and ineffective solutions. Waste containers/bins are the most basic items that can be used to solve issues with waste management. In this study, data from nine subdistricts of Banda Aceh had been gathered for waste dump locations from to analyze the spatial distribution of waste bins. Through the generalization tool in ArcGIS Pro, a spatial variation of distance between the trash cans was discovered. Changing the waste management system requires the application of geospatial approaches on a global scale. In the region of attention, this study evaluated the appropriate distance for waste container placement and the results were used to produce a number of maps showing the various sites where the waste container should be placed for the Banda Aceh government.

Abstract

Dayah is an Islamic educational institution that has developed in Aceh since the time of the entry of Islam in Samudera Pasai. This institution has contributed a lot to the development of Aceh until now, but this development occurs during the modernization period, it does not rule out the possibility that this change will make a modern-based dayah curriculum systematic according to the situation and conditions of the times, thus several Islamic education institutions that are almost similar to dayah in the characteristics of identity. This change does not make that all dayah in Aceh will change by itself, there may be some dayah that are still dayah concepts in the past there are those that are in the present. That's where the illustration comes out that not all dayahs show the same, but there are several factors of curriculum systematics that distinguish what is called traditional and modern. The main indicator in solving this problem the author analyzes the anatomy of social system theory, why!!! Because the curriculum system will be seen with the internal and external structure of the system, they gave birth to the curriculum system. This is proven by the anatomy of the system that classical and sorongan learning cannot be made a difference and the curriculum guidelines for dayah institutions are all the same, the author finds that their differences can only be measured from the surface structure of the system components. In anatomy, the dayah system approach is categorized into two parts, namely: first, traditional Dayah is a dayah that has integrity in the systematic curriculum for learning classical books (Fiqh science, Sufism Science, Tauhid Science), but not all classical books, classical books that have been determined which have reference references to Abuya Muda Wali AlKlalidy. Second, modern Dayah is a dayah that has a dynamic nature in acting and making policies that do not have to limit classical books. So, this research seeks to be a source of reference, especially for dayah institutions themselves.

Abstract

Commodification refers to the transformation of relationships that were originally free from commerce into commercialized relationships. Within the Piyeung community, certain aspects of their traditional marriage procession have been affected by commodification, resulting in elements of their culture being valued and sold for profit. This commodification has led to a decrease in togetherness during the wedding ceremony, as certain tasks that were previously done collectively, such as applying henna, are now outsourced to professionals. The author of this study aims to investigate the changes brought about by commodification in the traditional marriage procession of the Piyeung community in Montasik District, as well as the community's perception of these changes. Through qualitative research methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation, it was found that the traditional marriage procession has undergone modifications to make it more visually appealing. Changes were observed in areas such as the processional route, henna application, attire, food preparation, and serving. The Piyeung community acknowledges that these changes can diminish togetherness and social solidarity, but also recognize the employment opportunities and efficiency.

Abstract

This research aims to eliminate excessive negative assessments of a particular group or tribe before knowing and interacting with them directly. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach and obtains data by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. This research uses symbolic interaction theory, which discusses some of the characteristics and processes of stereotype formation and also the factors that influence the existence of stereotypes against the Pidie and Padang communities. The results of this study show that most of the people of Banda Aceh do not judge the attitude of an individual in terms of ethnicity or the tribe where they come from. Instead, they see it directly from the person himself. Then most of them equally disagree or do not take issue with negative stereotypes about people from Pidie and Padang. In fact, they have their own stereotypes aimed at the people of Pidie and Padang, and the stereotypes are mostly positive stereotypes. The stereotypes of the people of Banda Aceh towards people from Pidie and Padang are inseparable from the interactions that occur in Banda Aceh City. In addition, stereotypes are also obtained from social environments such as family or close people. Stereotypes of negative views include people from Pidie and Padang being considered stingy, arrogant, chatty, stubborn, and selfish. However, there are also positive stereotypes, such as that people who come from Pidie and Padang are disciplined, not easily offended, frugal, good at trading, sociable, good at managing finances, persistent, enterprising, assertive, good at culinary, highly social, and have a good work ethic. The factors that influence the stereotypes of the people of Banda Aceh towards people from Pidie and Padang are not something that is brought about by birth but arise because they are learned from the social environment, perceptions, direct interaction, cultural elements, and mass media.

Abstract

Domestic violence is any act against a person, especially women, that results in physical, sexual, psychological, and/or domestic neglect, including threats to commit acts, coercion, harassment, or unlawful deprivation of independence within the scope of the household. As stated in Article 1, Paragraph 1, of Law No. 23 of 2003 concerning the elimination of domestic violence, In the event of domestic violence, the settlement, although there is a law regulating domestic violence that requires the settlement process in court, still chooses customary law institutions to resolve domestic disputes. The people of Gayo Lues, in each gampong, have a customary institution that handles everything related to the interests of the community both internally and externally, namely the Geucik or penghulu. The community prefers to resolve cases of domestic violence through gampong customary institutions because the principles are in accordance with the values that have developed in the community. Customary law can resolve problems in a peaceful and easy way, and customary justice will realize the principles of kinship, peace, harmony, sincerity, and a strong sense of brotherhood. Settlement by customary law does not recognize defeat and victory and can even strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that were almost broken due to domestic violence. The pattern of resolving domestic violence cases resolved by Pak Geucik Gampong Penggalangan begins with a report from the victim or perpetrator, then, at a predetermined time, separate mediation is held by calling the victim or perpetrator in turn, after which mediation or deliberation is held simultaneously and a decision is made that has been agreed upon by both parties and outlined in an agreement letter.

Abstract

The phenomenon of roving morning prayers in the city of Banda Aceh is a new thing in Acehnese society. Supposedly, as an area that implements Islamic law with a majority Muslim community, the congregational dawn movement is not a strange thing. Because the morning congregation is an integral part of the implementation of Islamic teachings, this appears as a new movement in urban society. The main problems in this research are: how this movement initially appeared in the city of Banda Aceh. Then also see how the motivation of worshipers who follow What is the impact on society? This research uses descriptive qualitative methods in obtaining data using several techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documents, to analyze the data using descriptive qualitative methods. Acehnese society is known as a religious society that always upholds fundamental religious values. but now it has slowly begun to be eroded by the swift flow of globalization. Because the results of the globalization process, in fact, are able to anesthetize the human soul to always be addicted to technology as a vehicle for modern life, making humans forget what they have. Such a condition exists in Acehnese society for the people of the origin of life to seek the meaning of religion in life. This group plays a role in accommodating the spiritual needs of the community. One of the places to be able to express closeness to God is with the emergence of the Fajr prayer movement in congregations in Banda Aceh City. The presence of the congregational morning prayer movement in the public sphere has provided a new color in terms of Islamic spiritual experience, as seen from the number of congregants who follow and also receive support from the community and government as well. In terms of spirituality, there are two sides obtained from the congregational morning prayer movement, namely, the vertical spiritual side. The congregational morning prayer movement establishes a relationship with the creator through worship in the form of congregational prayer. Then, from the horizontal side, this movement can become a place for friendship between fellow Muslims in the city of Banda Aceh.
