The approach used by the researcher is descriptive quantitative. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression using secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency, namely panel data for the 2010-2019 period in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. The results showed that the best model in panel data regression analysis of the factors that influence the GRDP of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in this study was the Random Effect Model. Capital Per Worker, Life Expectancy, Average Length of Schooling, and Expected Length of Schooling are able to explain the GDP of 56.69 percent. Capital Per Worker, Life Expectancy, Average Length of Schooling, and Expected Length of School together have a significant effect on GDP. Partially, capital per worker has an insignificant negative effect on GDP, while life expectancy and average length of schooling have a significant positive effect on GDP. Expectations for the school year have a positive but not significant effect on GDP.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the school's collaboration with industry and business community (DU/DI) in improving the quality of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates. This study applies a qualitative descriptive approach of case study design at SMK Negeri 3 Jayapura. The researcher as the key instrument of the research conducted an in-depth interview with principals, teachers/public relations, students, school committees, supervisors as well as industry and business community (DU/DI). Participatory observation and document analysis were also utilized in order to support the data gathering process. The techniques for validating the data were gathered by extending the time of observation, peer discussion and triangulation. The data was analyzed qualitatively by means of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this study indicate that the school's collaboration with industry and business community (DU/DI) in improving the quality of SMK Negeri 3 Jayapura is favorable but still needs some improvement. It still requires some adjustments in term of alignment of the data-based industry-based curriculum which involves industry and business community (DU/DI) from its early establishment, the presence of industrial teachers which has not yet touched the substance of industrial practice and the absorption of graduates is still limited to MoUs bound by contracts and high-achieving graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to gather empirical data regarding how Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Performance affects Firm Value. This study uses two sets of control variables selected from several financial ratios to support the ESG score. The first model is the research observation in the short term with the first set of control variables. The second model is long-term with a second set of control variables. The research sample comprises publicly traded companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a sustainability history and documented ESG performance. This study compiles secondary data sources for ESG company performance scores from Refinitiv This research uses EViews version 12 statistical package for econometric analysis. This study with first-step variables showed that ENV and GOV significantly positively influence firm value. In addition, variable control DAR and CR significantly positively influence fair value. In Model 2, this study’s second-step variables showed that SOC and GOV significantly positively influence fair value. Variable control ROE and ROA have a significant positive influence on fair value. During the financial crisis, ESG performance reduced financial risks; in more normal circumstances, its role grew considerably. This highlights the importance of ESG performance during the crisis, using new and optimized data sets.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of factors that influence VAT receipts from various aspects, including the VAT rate itself, economic factors, tax administration factors, and legal factors. The VAT rate factor is explained by the standard rate and implicit rate variables. Economic factors are explained by the variables of imports, the service sector, and the fiscal deficit. Administrative factors are explained by the variable c-efficiency and government effectiveness. The legal factor is explained by the variables of controlling corruption and law enforcement. This study uses secondary data with the object of research being countries in the Asian continent from 2015 to 2019. The sample countries were selected with certain considerations so that 19 sample countries were obtained. The results of this study indicate that implicit tariffs, the service sector, and government effectiveness have a significant positive effect on VAT receipts, while imports have a significant negative effect on VAT receipts. Meanwhile, standard rates, fiscal deficits, c-efficiency, corruption control, and the rule of law have no significant effect on VAT revenues.
