Abstract

The development of the creative economy in the digital era has opened up new opportunities for technology-based entrepreneurship models, one of which is affiliate marketing. This business model is increasingly popular because it offers flexibility, low capital requirements, and broad market access potential through e-commerce and social media platforms. However, despite its great potential, affiliate marketing practices also face a number of challenges, ranging from limited digital literacy, reliance on platform algorithms, to immature transparency and regulatory issues. Therefore, this research is important to comprehensively analyze the opportunities and challenges of affiliate marketing as a digital entrepreneurship model in supporting the growth of the creative economy in 2025. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with affiliate marketers, participatory observations, and documentation studies from related literature sources. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles & Huberman interactive model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing through triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the main opportunities of affiliate marketing include expanding market access, time flexibility, and contributing to financial inclusion, especially for students and MSMEs. However, the challenges found include low digital literacy, instability of platform algorithms, tight competition, and consumer trust issues. This study concludes that affiliate marketing can be a driving force for the creative economy if supported by strategies to strengthen digital literacy, adaptive regulations, collaboration with platforms, and halal product innovation. The implications of this research confirm the importance of multi-stakeholder synergy in building an inclusive and sustainable digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Abstract

This research explores the role of ethics and control mechanisms in human resource management (HRM) and their impact on organizational performance. The problem studied is how organizations face challenges in managing HR risks related to low compliance with ethics and weaknesses of internal control mechanisms that can reduce organizational performance. This research aims to develop and test an integrated model that connects organizational ethics, control mechanisms, and human resource management (HRM) risk management to improve organizational performance. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combined quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with HR professionals in 10 organizations. The findings suggest that a strong organizational ethical culture has a positive effect on the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms, which in turn improves the risk management capabilities of human resource management (HRM). This ability directly contributes to the improvement of organizational performance. The study also identified that control mechanisms mediate the relationship between ethics and human resource management (HRM) risk management. The results show that integrating ethics into the human resource management (HRM) risk management framework is critical for organizational resilience and performance. This research contribution offers a comprehensive model for HR managers to integrate ethical practices and control systems, leading to better risk mitigation strategies and more optimal organizational outcomes. Implications for practice include strengthening ethical culture, improving control mechanisms, and implementing proactive human resource management (HRM) risk management strategies. The limitations of this study include the narrow scope of the organization, and further research can explore applications in a wider industry.

Abstract

Human beings are pedagogical creatures who have the potential intellect, heart, and body to be educated and educated. It takes an understanding of education to be in accordance with the spirit of humanity and human needs. This article is a discussion of collaborative thinking from various points regarding the terminology, purpose and position of Islamic education. As an Islamic education figure, the author will present the views of Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas, Imam Al Ghazali, and other Islamic education experts. The research method in this article is qualitative with a library research approach. A study based on research on documents or texts derived from literature. From the results of the study, various Islamic educational technologies were found, namely Al Tarbiyah, al Tansyi'ah, al Ishlah, al Ta'dib or al Adab, al Tahzib, al Tazkiyyah, al Ta'lim, al Siyasah, al Nash wa al Irsyad, al Mau'idzah, and al Akhlak. This article outlines three terms of education in Islam, namely al Tarbiyah, Ta'lim and Ta'dib. Of the three terminologies, according to Naquib Al Attas, for education in Islam, it is more appropriate to use the term Ta'dib. This term is more humanistic and relevant to the subject of education, namely humans. Because basically education is for moral purposes. Even if it refers to the purpose for which man was created, which is to become a servant (abdullah) and a representative of God on earth (khalifatullah). Thus, according to Imam Al Ghazali, the purpose of education is divided into two, namely the special goal as the achievement of happiness in the hereafter (ukhrawi), and the general goal is the substance of human beings as noble beings on earth (worldly), therefore it must achieve benefits in human life in the world. The conclusion is that Islamic education is a means for students to form morals and piety in the context of happiness in this world and the hereafter. As part of National education, Islamic Religious Education is the most important part because of its role in filling the spiritual void of students, this is affirmed in Pancasila and the Indonesian State Law.

Abstract

The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in organizations is increasing along with the development of digital transformation and the need for data-driven decision-making. However, various studies show that many AI projects fail due to poor data quality, lack of data integration, and weak data governance within the organization. In this context, Business Intelligence (BI) has the potential to support systematic data management through data integration, analytics, and information visualization. Therefore, a data governance model integrated with Business Intelligence is needed to improve the quality of data management and reduce the risk of AI implementation failure. This study aims to develop a Business Intelligence-based Data Governance model that can reduce the risk of Artificial Intelligence implementation failure in organizations and increase the effectiveness of data-driven decision-making. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. Research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents involved in data management and the implementation of organizational analytical systems. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to examine the relationship between data governance variables, Business Intelligence capability, and AI implementation risk. The results of this study indicate that data governance significantly impacts Business Intelligence capabilities, which in turn contributes to reducing the risk of AI implementation failure within organizations. Furthermore, data quality is shown to be a crucial mediating factor linking data governance to successful AI implementation. This study produces a Business Intelligence-based Data Governance conceptual model that can be used as a framework for organizational data management to support more effective AI implementation.

Abstract

This study explores the contested dynamics of land grabbing, customary land rights, and environmental degradation in Eastern Indonesia, with a case study focused on Merauke Regency, Papua Province. Utilizing a qualitative political ecology approach, the research combines in-depth interviews, employee questionnaires, field observations, and document analysis to examine how corporate concessions intersect with indigenous territories. The findings reveal systemic exclusion of indigenous communities in land acquisition processes, characterized by weak consultation, disregard for customary tenure, and the erosion of traditional livelihoods. Although companies assert legal compliance, the affected communities report significant loss of access to sacred lands, environmental decline, and cultural displacement. Notably, 90% of plantation workers surveyed recognized the negative impact on indigenous livelihoods, while only 25% believed local communities were included in decision-making. These results highlight the political nature of environmental change and demonstrate how land commodification undermines ecological integrity and indigenous sovereignty. The study contributes to political ecology discourse by documenting spatial injustice and calling for policy reforms that recognize customary land rights and support inclusive development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) communication in building stakeholder trust in public banking companies in Indonesia amid the increasing issue of greenwashing. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design of a case study. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with management, questionnaires to licensed employees, as well as observations of sustainability reports, annual reports, official company websites, press releases, and corporate social media. The results show that ESG communication has an important role in shaping stakeholder trust, especially when messages are conveyed in a transparent, consistent, accountable, and supported by tangible evidence of implementation. The interview's findings show that management views ESG communication as a strategic part of a company's reputation and legitimacy, but still faces challenges in maintaining a fit between sustainability narratives and business practices. The results of the questionnaire showed that transparency and accountability received high ratings, while the evidence aspect of the program was still relatively low. The results of the observation also confirm that the intensity of ESG communication has not always been followed by adequate depth of information. This study concludes that credible, data-driven, and integrated ESG communication is an important factor in strengthening stakeholder trust and minimizing the risk of perceived greenwashing in public banking companies in Indonesia.
