Abstract

The rapid growth of e-learning platforms has transformed the landscape of education, including religious education, which has traditionally been delivered in classroom settings. This shift towards digital learning has raised important questions regarding its impact on students' character development, particularly in the context of religious studies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of e-learning-based religious education on students' character development by reviewing relevant literature and synthesizing existing research. This qualitative study uses a literature review methodology to gather data from various academic sources, focusing on the benefits and challenges of e-learning in religious education. The data was analyzed through thematic analysis to identify patterns and draw conclusions about the relationship between e-learning and character education. The findings reveal that e-learning can have both positive and negative impacts on character development. On the one hand, it promotes autonomy, self-regulation, and accessibility to diverse religious teachings, fostering critical thinking, empathy, and moral reasoning. On the other hand, the lack of face-to-face interactions can lead to feelings of isolation, and the over-reliance on digital platforms can result in distractions, reducing students' focus on moral engagement. To maximize the benefits of e-learning, a blended learning approach combining online learning with traditional face-to-face interactions is recommended. This study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers seeking to optimize the use of e-learning in religious education for effective character development.

Abstract

This article explores the development of a guidance and counseling model based on religious education to address psychosocial issues in schools. The study employs a qualitative approach using literature review and library research methodologies to identify the potential intersection between religious teachings and counseling practices in fostering students' emotional and psychological well-being. By examining existing theories and practices in both religious education and counseling, the study demonstrates how religious values, such as compassion, empathy, and moral responsibility, can be integrated into counseling strategies to address common psychosocial challenges faced by students, including stress, bullying, and identity crises. The findings suggest that a counseling model informed by religious education can provide students with both spiritual and psychological support, promoting resilience, ethical decision-making, and personal growth. Additionally, the integration of religious principles in counseling offers a more holistic approach, catering to the spiritual and emotional needs of students. This research highlights the importance of incorporating religious education in the counseling process to better equip students with the necessary tools for managing their psychosocial issues and navigating the complexities of modern school environments. The article contributes to the field by proposing a framework for school counselors that combines both educational and religious perspectives in addressing the psychological needs of students.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital media has profoundly influenced religious education and identity formation, reshaping how individuals’ access, engage with, and express their religious beliefs. This study examines the transformative role of digital media in these areas, focusing on its impact on the accessibility and interactivity of religious education, as well as its role in the construction and expression of religious identity. Digital platforms, such as online courses, social media, and virtual communities, have democratized religious knowledge, enabling people from diverse backgrounds to engage with religious teachings and practices in flexible and personalized ways. Moreover, digital media has allowed for new forms of self-representation, facilitating the creation of individualized religious identities that blend various traditions and practices. Despite these advancements, the study also highlights the challenges posed by digital media, including the risk of misinformation, commercialization of religious content, and the fragmentation of communal religious practices. This paper concludes by discussing the need for a balanced approach to digital media in religious contexts, ensuring that its benefits are maximized while addressing its potential drawbacks to maintain the authenticity and integrity of religious expression and practice in the digital age.

Abstract

Domestic violence remains a significant issue in many societies, including Muslim communities, despite religious teachings promoting peace and family harmony. This study explores the integration of local wisdom and Islamic teachings as a strategy to reduce domestic violence in Muslim communities. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs literature review and library research methods to analyze the alignment of Islamic principles with local cultural practices that emphasize respect, kindness, and mutual understanding within the family. The study reviews Islamic texts, such as the Qur’an and Hadith, alongside indigenous cultural values that promote non-violence and social harmony. It highlights the potential for synergizing these two sources to create a comprehensive framework that can guide community interventions, educational programs, and policy initiatives. The findings suggest that integrating Islamic teachings on justice, compassion, and the sanctity of family life with local wisdom, such as conflict resolution strategies and the role of elders in mediation, can be effective in preventing and addressing domestic violence. By fostering an environment where both spiritual and cultural values are respected, Muslim communities can build stronger, non-violent family structures. The research emphasizes the importance of community-based approaches in creating sustainable change and highlights the need for further studies on the practical application of these integrated values in real-world settings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and develop a religious education model based on local wisdom to strengthen students' cultural identity. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review (library research) approach. Data were collected by analyzing various sources, such as books, academic journals, scholarly articles, and relevant documents related to the research theme. The findings indicate that religious education based on local wisdom has significant potential to shape students' character in alignment with local cultural values. This approach not only enhances students' understanding of religious teachings but also fosters a sense of pride and love for their own culture. Additionally, integrating local wisdom into religious education serves as a medium for preserving cultural heritage amidst the wave of globalization, which increasingly erodes local identities. This education model emphasizes contextual, adaptive, and value-based learning strategies, such as incorporating folklore, local traditions, and region-specific religious practices. Thus, religious education rooted in local wisdom offers an innovative solution to strengthen students' cultural identity without neglecting spiritual aspects. The study recommends collaboration between educators, religious leaders, and local communities to effectively implement this model. Furthermore, educational policies supporting the integration of local wisdom into the curriculum are essential to ensure the sustainability of this approach.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital platforms has significantly influenced various aspects of society, including religious practices and community building. This study explores the impact of the digital hijrah trend in the construction of Muslim millennial communities on social media platforms. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs a literature study and library research method to analyze existing literature, articles, and online content related to the hijrah trend. The study examines how the digital hijrah movement, which emphasizes spiritual transformation and religious commitment, resonates within the millennial generation and fosters a sense of community. The findings indicate that the hijrah trend on social media serves as a platform for Muslims to share personal stories, religious knowledge, and support one another in their faith journey. Additionally, the digital hijrah community creates a virtual space for engagement, interaction, and the formation of shared values among Muslims, especially the millennial demographic. This study contributes to understanding the role of social media in shaping religious communities and offers insights into how digital platforms can foster positive social and religious transformation within contemporary Muslim societies. The findings also highlight the potential of digital media in enhancing religious identity and community solidarity in the digital age.

Abstract

The phenomenon of digital hijrah has emerged as a significant trend among millennial Muslims in the era of social media. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital hijrah on the lifestyle of Muslim millennials through qualitative methods, particularly using literature review and library research. Digital hijrah refers to a transformative shift in religious identity, where individuals seek a deeper understanding of Islam, often facilitated by the use of social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. This research explores how digital hijrah influences various aspects of lifestyle, including fashion preferences, consumption patterns, social interactions, and spiritual practices. By analyzing existing studies, scholarly articles, and relevant digital content, this paper identifies that social media plays a dual role as both a source of inspiration and a platform for self-representation among Muslim millennials. The findings indicate that digital hijrah encourages the adoption of modest fashion, the proliferation of halal products, and increased participation in virtual Islamic communities. However, it also highlights potential challenges, such as identity conflicts and over-reliance on digital figures for religious guidance. This study contributes to understanding how modern technology reshapes religious expressions and practices in contemporary Muslim societies. The research emphasizes the need for critical awareness in consuming digital content while fostering a balanced integration of modernity and Islamic values.

Abstract

Religious education has a very important role in shaping moral and social values in adolescents, especially in the face of increasingly complex moral and social crises. The phenomenon of moral crisis among adolescents, such as violent behavior, drug abuse, and declining social values, shows the importance of efforts to restore morality through religious education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of religious education in overcoming moral and social crises among adolescents. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, which collects data from various articles, books, and journals related to religious education and social behavior of adolescents. The data analysis method used is content analysis by identifying relevant patterns and themes in the literature studied. The results of the analysis show that religious education has a positive impact on shaping adolescents' morality, reducing deviant behavior, and strengthening social values such as empathy, tolerance, and responsibility. In addition, religious education also plays a role in preventing violence and delinquent behavior through teaching the values of peace and conflict resolution. These findings underscore the importance of integrating religious education in the educational curriculum to equip adolescents with a solid moral foundation. However, the effectiveness of religious education in overcoming social crises is also influenced by the cultural context and the quality of teaching received by students.

Abstract

This study explores the role of mosques in enhancing the quality of religious education within urban communities. Given the rapid urbanization and the resulting shifts in cultural and social dynamics, the mosque has emerged as a critical center for religious learning and community engagement. Utilizing a qualitative approach through a literature review and library research, this paper investigates how mosques contribute to religious education, focusing on their programs, community outreach, and the adaptation of teaching methods in urban settings. It examines various aspects, such as the mosque's role in offering supplementary religious education for children and adults, fostering intergenerational dialogue, and serving as a space for spiritual guidance and moral development. The study also considers the challenges faced by urban mosques, such as limited resources and the diverse needs of a rapidly changing demographic. By reviewing existing literature, this research aims to provide insights into the effective strategies employed by mosques in improving the religious education quality in urban areas. The findings suggest that mosques play an essential role in bridging educational gaps, offering a platform for lifelong learning, and nurturing community cohesion. In conclusion, the mosque's role in urban religious education remains significant, and further support and development of its educational initiatives are crucial for fostering a spiritually grounded urban society.

Abstract

Tasybih tamtsil is a form of parable in Arabic rhetoric that has high expressive power. Its use in Arabic literature not only clarifies the meaning, but also enriches the reader's imagination by presenting a more concrete and vivid picture. This article aims to analyze the role of tasybih tamtsil in developing the aesthetics and imagination of classical and modern Arabic literature. With a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study reveals how tasybih tamtsil is used in literary works and how it affects readers' understanding and experience. The results of the study show that tasybih tamtsil not only increases the aesthetic power of Arabic literature, but also plays a role in strengthening the cultural and moral values that the author wants to convey.
