Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) Model in increasing students' learning motivation on the topic of deliberation in second grade elementary school students. The RADEC model was chosen because it can increase students' activeness in learning, especially on topics that involve group discussions, such as deliberation. The research method used in this study is quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design, where students who follow RADEC-based learning are placed in the experimental group, while the control group gets learning using the Flipped Classroom model. The instrument used to measure students' learning motivation is a questionnaire consisting of 10 items to assess the level of motivation. The results showed that students who took part in learning with the RADEC Model had very high learning motivation, with a percentage reaching 91.30%. This shows that the application of the RADEC Model can significantly increase students' learning motivation in deliberation lessons. Therefore, it can be concluded that the RADEC Model plays an effective role in increasing student learning motivation, especially in group discussion-based learning such as deliberation.

Abstract

This thorough analysis highlights the essential role of Early Childhood Education Centers (ECECs) in shaping toddlers' social interactions and laying the foundation for lifelong learning. It emphasizes the importance of a supportive and inclusive environment, examining various components such as social activities, skill development, peer interactions, and conflict resolution. Beyond theoretical discussions, the research delves into practical implications for cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development, emphasizing the interconnected nature of these aspects. Additionally, the study explores Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a focus on play-based learning and addresses the evolving role of ECECs in promoting gender inclusivity and quality education. Drawing on Nigerian studies, it investigates gender differences in toddlers' social interactions, providing insights into the impact of early experiences on academic performance. In conclusion, the research advocates for a collaborative and inclusive approach to foster holistic child development, underscoring the crucial role of quality ECECs in shaping future generations. The proposed initiatives aim to prioritize gender equity, inclusivity, and high-quality education in early childhood settings.

Abstract

In this rapidly evolving modern era, the Indonesian government faces various challenges that can affect the quality and effectiveness of national governance. The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze five major issues challenging Indonesia's governmental system. These include digitalization and technology, transparency and accountability, corruption and integrity of state apparatus, public participation and substantive democracy, and social and technological complexity. Through a descriptive approach and evidence-based analysis using scholarly references, this article concludes that although progress has been made in various aspects of governance, many obstacles remain to be overcome to create a better governance system. Amid the challenges of digitalization and technology, transparency and accountability remain issues in data management and information protection, demanding equitable infrastructure and equal access across Indonesia. Despite reforms, anti-corruption efforts need to be strengthened through stricter oversight. Meanwhile, substantive democracy and public participation require increased political awareness and the use of technology to enhance civic engagement. Lastly, technological complexity and social diversity highlight the need for the Indonesian government to keep pace with technological advancements and social pluralism.

Abstract

This study investigates gaps in parental engagement in learning at Integritas Bangsa Elementary School using SWOT analysis as a tool for evaluation and solution development. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with homeroom teachers and validated through source triangulation. SWOT analysis was utilized to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to parental participation in education. The findings reveal a nuanced understanding of the dynamics of parental involvement and its impact on students' development. The study proposes actionable solutions, including seminars highlighting the importance of parental engagement, supported by field-based evidence and inspirational stories. Additionally, regular meetings between parents and homeroom teachers are recommended to foster positive relationships and enhance collaboration on children's development. The research underscores the roles of stakeholders: parents are urged to actively participate in their children's education, homeroom teachers to strengthen partnerships with parents, and school principals to facilitate initiatives that improve educational quality. This study provides structured, data-driven recommendations for developing education policies that actively involve parents, aiming to bridge the gap in parental participation and enhance the overall quality of education.

Abstract

study aims to examine the effectiveness of teaching materials ‘Misi BangDat’ based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts of elementary school students on the material of flat buildings. The research design used pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest. The research sample consisted of 24 grade II students in one of the elementary schools in West Bandung Regency. The results showed an increase in the average score of students' understanding of mathematical concepts from 57.29 (pretest) to 82.29 (posttest). N-Gain analysis showed a score of 80.87%, which is in the high category, proving that this teaching material is effective. The implementation of PBL-based teaching materials helps students understand concepts interactively and contextually, improve critical thinking skills, and facilitate understanding of abstract mathematics material. This study recommends the use of ‘Misi BangDat’ teaching materials as an innovative solution to improve mathematics learning at the primary school level.
