The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education is dedicated to scholars, teachers, and anyone interested in the evolution of knowledge in Islamic Education. Articles published in the Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education need to fit with the expectation of scientific rigor concerning the theoretical background and the methodology. Results need to be realistic and embedded in the nowadays Islamic education topic. The topic should fall within, but not be limited to: innovation and technology in Islamic Education, Islamic education figures, and the Quran teaching and learning. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education accepts research and review articles. The methodology used by authors can be qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods design, it is what makes Islamic education sciences original and relevant. Papers need to make contributions to the current literature on Islamic education. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education normally accepts only English language submissions. In this perspective of international openness, contributions from foreign researchers as well as comparative studies can find their place there. Innovation and technology in Islamic Education application of information technology in Islamic education, development of learning media for Islamic education, design of web and mobile applications for the learning process of Islamic education, and innovation in the learning process of Islamic education and other relevant issues. Islamic education figures-biographies of Islamic education figures, thoughts and ideas of Islamic education figures, relevance and contextualisation of thoughts in the current context, and other relevant issues. the Quran teaching and learning methods in memorizing and learning the Quran, issues in Islamic education teaching, learning methods in Islamic education learning, and other relevant issues.

Abstract

Technological developments have had a tremendous impact on all areas of life, one of which is education. On the one hand, the world of education has developed rapidly with the emergence of various technology-based learning media that help in achieving the nation's ideals in the world of education. Learning resources also seem very easy to obtain by making use of various platforms on the Internet. However, on the other hand, technology actually has a negative impact on the world of education. The abundance of information obtained by students in this category who are teenagers, leads them to moral damage due to not being able to filter all incoming information. Western culture which is not in accordance with the nation's personality is also easy to influence them. In this case, character education must always be intensified for students for the good of the nation. Therefore, the author took the initiative to create learning innovations-books Mathrest which integrates local wisdom and Quranic verses in shaping the character of the nation's generation. In preparing this paper, the author used the Research and Development (R&D) method. In the process of searching for data and needs, the author uses literature review data collection techniques as the main focus. The research results found that Mathrest was able to provide students with the provisions to live life as they should. Mathrest is also designed using various illustrations and made like a comic with the aim of making learning not only meaningful but also prioritizing the fun aspect for students.

Abstract

The interest of parents to send their children to the Integrated Islamic Elementary School is very high, even though the costs for schooling at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School are quite high. Compared to public schools in general, which are usually free (no fees).The aim of this study to find out as well as answer the question why Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools are in great demand by the Indonesian Muslim community, especially parents.This research uses the method Qualitatively using a case study approach, research data were taken through in-depth interviews with five people consisting of school principals, teachers, parents in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools who were selected throughAnalysis Interactive Model Miles & Huberman. The results of this study show that the interest of parents in sending their children to Islamic elementary schools, this research shows that (i) theological factors are reasons based on religious considerations that parents want their children to have a strong religious foundation in addition to general education, of course. (ii) Sociological factors related to the increasing image of Islamic schools in the last decade in Indonesia. Different from previous times during the end of the new order and reform regime. (iii) Theological factors in the form of parents' desire for their children to be intellectually and spiritually intelligent.The results of this study can be used as initial information and data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This research is motivated by online games which make students addicted to playing online games, student learning motivation decreases, and students become less disciplined with time, and students do not care about the environment around them only care about friends who are in the virtual world of online games. Based on statistical data and the strong influence of globalization, it shows that school-aged teenagers are addicted to online gameplay. Online games are one of the impacts that affect learning achievement. This study is intended to determine the behavior caused by online game addiction in students. Lack of interest in learning causes a decrease in student achievement so that which can create a lack of human resources due to low interest and motivation in learning. The purpose of this study is to find out how the impact of the influence of online games on student achievement. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research used in this study was carried out using interviews or case studies. Data collection techniques by reading and recording important information contained in various journals related to research and conducting a review of the research object, namely and students who are affected by the influence of online games that are being carried out. Knowing how online games are among students, then this research can find out the causes of why students become addicted to playing online games and describe the impact and influence of online games on students' mentality.

Abstract

The level of worship is an achievement that needs to be improved by a servant so that he is more active in carrying out worship. This study aims to describe the extent to which the stages of obedience to worship in college students. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach (case study design). Data sources were taken from sixteen informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. All informants were active female students from various departments at Padang State University in 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts students. All interview results were then analyzed thematically using analytical methods. Miles & Huberman data models. The results of the analysis show that there are four levels of worship that female students carry out, namely observance of prayer, fasting, reading the Quran, and giving alms. And the research findings on student worship observances are quite good, such as prayer, fasting, reading the Quran, and giving alms. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Memorizing the Quran is an activity that is considered sacred and important in religious practice for Muslims. For adults, memorizing the Quran is often a challenge of its own due to time constraints and various other responsibilities. As a student whose average age is twenty years and over, there are difficulties in memorizing, this study aims to analyze whether these five methods are effective for students to use in memorizing verses of the Quran. This research uses the method qualitative with a case study approach. Data sources were taken from five informants through in-depth interviews, all informants are active students at Padang State University, Imam Bonjol State Islamic University, Andalas University. Analysis results show that there are five methods of memorizing the Quran that students can use to memorize verses of the Quran. The five methods are: Wahdah, Kitabah, Sima'i,  Jama' and Talaqqi. Research result This can be used as a guide for students who want to start memorizing the Quran.
