Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying cases among students in schools has significantly increased in Indonesia. It has become a trending topic in daily news in various national media both related to the perpetrators and victims of the bullying. Islamic religious education teachers should also be responsible to educate learners to behave based on religious values believed as an alternative to prevent bullying behavior. The study is aimed at identifying how Islamic religion teachers should participate in preventing bullying among students. This study employs a qualitative method of  a phenomenological approach. The data was collected through in-depth individual interviews and group discussions with thirty informants consisting of fifteen Islamic religious education teachers, five principals, five parents and five students in fifteen elementary schools in one of the provinces in Indonesia. To enrich  the main data, the author also conducted a direct observation related to how the actions taken by teachers in preventing bullying. All interview and observation data were thematically analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model assisted by NVivo software. The research findings reveal five themes of Islamic religion teachers' attitudes in preventing bullying among students: i) instilling mutual respect among students, ii) modeling how to get along based on religious values, iii) thematically linking all religious subject matter to prevent bullying behavior, iv) socializing the adverse effects of bullying to the victims, v) working with all school members to develop work strategies to prevent bullying, vi) involving parents as ambassadors of children without bullying behavior. These six attitudes are real examples of how religious teachers respond to prevent bullying.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah is one of the largest religious organizations in Indonesia, and it has had a significant influence both domestically and abroad. The organization has developed a unique approach to carrying out its mission, including Islamic spirituality, law, and ethics. Examining the basic character of Muhammadiyah's struggle requires in-depth analysis to obtain a complete and representative picture. This research aims to collect comprehensive information regarding the basics of Sufistic education which is the basis of Muhammadiyah's struggle. This research uses qualitative research methods with a thematic analysis approach with research steps; i) understand the data, ii) find the main themes, and iii) look for themes related to the research. The researchers' data sources were obtained from online and offline literature, books, the web, articles, and others. Then, analyze the data obtained by describing, then validating the accuracy of the data comprehensively and completely according to research needs. The research findings found that Sufistic Education was the basis for the struggle of the Muhammadiyah organization, understood from the five principles of good Muhammadiyah which were first taught during the founding of this organization, namely Ahmad Dahlan regarding religious principles (beliefs), legal regulations (sharia) and noble character (akhlaq al-karimah). This was developed in its philosophical delivery with a Sufistic touch. It is hoped that this research can provide critical and understandable information and become a related reference.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Millennials' assessments of Mubalighs in Indonesia. This research uses a quantitative method with a phenomenological study with a survey approach, data sources were taken from one hundred and forty-one millennial respondents by distributing questionnaires. All survey results were then analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that the millennials' assessment of the preachers they are interested in is the appearance aspect, namely simple appearance, the material aspect is material that is accompanied by clear arguments, the language aspect is light language and easy to understand, the delivery aspect is clear and firm, and the affordability aspect is accessible. on all social media. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying different issues related to this problem as well as various other issues that are relevant to this context.

Abstract

The level of worship is an achievement that needs to be improved by a servant so that he is more active in carrying out worship. This study aims to describe the extent to which the stages of obedience to worship in college students. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach (case study design). Data sources were taken from sixteen informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. All informants were active female students from various departments at Padang State University in 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts students. All interview results were then analyzed thematically using analytical methods. Miles & Huberman data models. The results of the analysis show that there are four levels of worship that female students carry out, namely observance of prayer, fasting, reading the Quran, and giving alms. And the research findings on student worship observances are quite good, such as prayer, fasting, reading the Quran, and giving alms. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Arabic language subjects must be studied, but in reality, there are still students who do not understand and master Arabic language learning because there are several problems with it. This research aims to determine the problems experienced by students in learning Arabic. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data sources were taken from twelve informants, including school principals, teachers, and students through individual and group interviews. To strengthen the interview data, the author also made direct observations of teachers and students. All interview and observation data were analyzed using the Milles & Hubberman Interactive Analysis model. Research findings found that there were five problems students in studying Arabic in high school. The five problems are: i) lack of school facilities and infrastructure, ii) negative behavior in learning, iii) low interest in learning, iv) teachers' teaching methods are not innovative, and v) differences in students' diverse backgrounds. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence are important components in the moral development of high school students. Therefore, it is important for schools to develop these three intelligences in students. This research aims to examine the influence of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence on the morals of high school students. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey approach. Samples were taken from 252 informant students through questionnaires using techniques simple random sampling andProportionate Stratified Random Sampling. All questionnaire results were then analyzed statistically usingSoftware SPSS Statistic 24.0 For Windows and SEM-AMOS analysis for simple regression. The results of the analysis show that intelligence has a significant effect on the morals of students with probability of 0.20 ≥ 0.05. Meanwhile intelligence has an emotional significant influence on students' morals with probability of 0.65 ≥ 0.05. Meanwhile intelligence has a significant influence on students' morals with probability of 0.80 ≥ 0.05. This means that the better the formation of intellectual intelligence, emotional, and spiritual the better the morals of secondary school students will be. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

The most basic internal problem is the teaching staff (teachers) of BAM and al-Qur'an education in designing and compiling teaching materials, in determining the way of presentation, in determining the direction of learning, and in outlining learning objectives. With that creativity, learning will be efficient and effective. While the external problem is the problem of implementing BAM learning outcomes in the Minangkabau community. Qualitative research with the type of field research and descriptive methods. Collecting data by observation, interviews and documentation. Efforts are needed to integrate and interconnect Islamic religious education in order to strengthen the innovation policy for independent learning in the Pesisir Selatan. Efforts that must be made in order to create a PAI integration-interconnection program in the context of Strengthening the Free Learning Innovation merdeka belajar by the Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan and Kementerian Pendidikan Agama Pesisir Selatan can achieve their goals. The implementation method can be carried out in two stages, including through seminars and workshops/mentoring for making lesson plans, media and PAI teaching materials that are integrated-interconnected with Al-Qur'an Education and Minangkabau Natural Culture.

Abstract

Social competence is an aspect that must be possessed by professional teachers. Social competence will form an intelligent teacher in establishing relationships and communication with the school environment such as students, teachers, parents and the community. This article aims to analyze the impact of teachers' social competence on communication intelligence so that they become professional teachers. This article uses the Systematic Literature Review method. Data sources were taken from forty selected scientific articles of high reputation which have been published in the Google Scholar, Scopus, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis databases, the articles in question were published in the 2019-2024 time period. All articles were analyzed using VOSViewer software by generating themes related to the issues studied such as social competence, Islamic religious education teachers, social intelligence. Data analysis found three impacts of teacher social competence on teacher communication intelligence; i) increasing time to communicate with students, ii) always collaborating on performance with the teacher council, iii) establishing communication with the community outside the school such as parents and partner schools. The description of the three findings ofthis analysis can be a reference for teachers as professional educators to always do the best with their environment, both for school residents and community members outside the school.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the forms of activities and forms of guidance for class VII students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. This type of research takes the form of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach, namely research that tries to describe and interpret a situation that is currently occurring in the field. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this research were the principal of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, tahsin teachers, and class VII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School, Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. Data were analyzed by triangulation through 3 stages, namely preparation, checking, and evaluation. The conclusion of this research is; i) preparation of teachers and students, namely teaching materials, making syllabi, lesson implementation plans, making concept maps, collecting resources, stationery and tahsin teaching materials needed for teaching such as the Al-Qur'an and memorizing books, ii) equipment prepared is that the teacher makes a syllabus and prepares a learning implementation plan, iii) the media used is that the teacher uses books, whiteboards, and markers during tahsin activities. Meanwhile, the sources used are the Al-Qur'an, memorized books, and the Iqra' book volume iv) the obstacle faced is the lack of time in tahsin activities, v) the type of assessment is oral and written tests. In tahsin guidance there is guidance with halaqqah: i) the approach used by the teacher is the talaqi method, ii) guidance is not always in accordance with the plan that has been made, there are students who already understand and there are also those who do not fully understand the tahsin material, iii) Obstacles that arise found in students' verbal assessments, namely being sleepy and not repeating lessons, iv) students' responses to tahsin guidance can improve how to memorize the Al-Qur'an according to tajwid rules.

To strengthen the interview data, the author also made direct observations of teachers and students. All interview and observation data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model Analysis Interactive. Research findings found that there were five problems in learning to learn Arabic in high school. The five problems are: i) students' previous educational background, ii) inadequate facilities and infrastructure, iii) there is still a culture of teasing, iv) students are lazy about learning and v) the way teachers teach does not attract students' attention. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers to study this problem in different contexts and problems.
