Abstract

Reliable irrigation water supply is a crucial factor in supporting sustainable agricultural development, particularly in watershed areas where river discharge fluctuates significantly throughout the year. In many cases, excess water during the rainy season cannot be effectively utilized, while water shortages occur during the dry season, limiting agricultural productivity. This study aims to develop an irrigation dam planning scheme as a water storage and regulation structure capable of ensuring continuous irrigation water availability. The analysis includes hydrological assessment to determine water availability potential, calculation of irrigation water demand based on land characteristics and cropping patterns, and reservoir capacity planning in accordance with local topographic conditions. In addition, the technical design of the dam is evaluated through dimensional planning and stability analysis against sliding, overturning, and slope failure. The results indicate that the proposed dam has sufficient storage capacity to meet irrigation water demands and satisfies structural safety requirements. The implementation of this dam planning is expected to improve water resource utilization efficiency and strengthen agricultural sustainability within the studied watershed area.

Abstract

Sectio Caesarea (SC) is an alternative birth process, especially for those who have difficulty giving birth normally, but nowadays CS has become an option for mothers who give birth so that the incidence of SC is increasing. This surgical procedure causes changes in the continuity of body tissue. In the surgical process, anesthesia is used so that the patient does not feel pain, but after the operation is completed the patient begins to be aware and feels pain in the part of the body that has been operated on. Pain that occurs after surgery is a pressing or stressful event, and can change the lifestyle and psychological well-being of an individual. Common complementary therapies for patients with pain problems are meditation, autogenic training, relaxation training, guided imagery, rhythmic breathing, operant conditioning, biofeedback, building a therapeutic relationship, therapeutic touch, skin stimulation, hypnosis, music, acupressure, and aromatherapy. Based on the background above, we carry out nursing care to apply the results of research regarding nursing care for patients with post-SC pain by providing finger-holding relaxation therapy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inconsistency in determining the legal age of majority within various Indonesian laws and regulations and to examine its implications for legal certainty within the national legal system. The research problem arises from the existence of different standards of legal adulthood in several regulations, particularly between provisions that set the age at nineteen years and others that still recognize twenty-one years as the threshold of legal maturity. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches supported by literature studies of relevant primary and secondary legal sources. The findings indicate that the differences in determining the age of majority are influenced by historical factors in legislative development, the varying regulatory objectives across legal sectors, and the lack of optimal harmonization among laws and regulations. Such conditions may create potential legal uncertainty in the application of law, particularly when determining an individual’s legal capacity to perform legal acts. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of harmonizing regulations concerning the age of majority to establish a more consistent legal system, strengthen legal certainty, and support the development of more coherent national legal policies

Abstract

Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) has been empirically proven for antimicrobial properties that can be used as an alternative medicine, while the changes that occur in Escherichia coli-infected mouse intestine after administering bitter melon have not been widely studied. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Momordica charantia administration on histopathology of intestine of E. coli infected mice. This research was post-test control randomized group study involving 20 mice’s small intestine paraffin blocks which were divided into 4 groups consisted of control and different dosage of bitter melon juice, observed subsequently under a microscope to measure the of the small intestine lining and assess inflammation using modified Barthel Mandja scoring. This study found significant changes the height of mucosa and villi of mice small intestine after administration of 100 grams of bitter melon juice and the muscle layer and crypts after administration of 200 grams of bitter melon juice. The Barthel Manja score showed decrease of inflammation degree among P2 group, while increased inflammation degree found in P3 group. It can be concluded that administration of bitter melon juice has the potential to improve the intestinal histopathology of mice infected with Escherichia coli.

Abstract

The abuse of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and addictive substances (NAPZA) is a serious social and health problem in Indonesia. Many victims of drug abuse experience psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and loss of motivation to live. In the context of rehabilitation, spiritual counseling is an effective approach to assist patients in their recovery process, both psychologically and spiritually. This study aims to implement spiritual counseling for drug rehabilitation patients at Prof. Dr. M. Ildrem Mental Hospital, Medan. The method used was a case study with a qualitative approach with two drug rehabilitation patients. The counseling process was conducted through a spiritual approach that included strengthening faith, practicing religious practices, and providing emotional support based on religious values. The study results showed positive changes in patients' behavior, mindset, and coping mechanisms after receiving spiritual counseling intervention. This study concludes that the implementation of spiritual counseling can facilitate the recovery process and improve the overall quality of life of drug rehabilitation patients.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of UMKM digitalization through the One Village One Product (OVOP) approach in supporting local economic development in Karanggan Village. The study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews and observations. The results indicate that digitalization through QRIS usage, Google Maps utilization, and digital marketing training improves business visibility and UMKM actors’ understanding of technology. However, challenges remain in terms of limited digital literacy and internet access. This study concludes that the integration of OVOP and digitalization is an effective strategy to enhance UMKM competitiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to provide evidence regarding the influence of organizational culture and competency on Soldier Performance in Mapuspalad. The variables measured are organizational culture (X1), competency (X2) and performance (Y). The sample used in this research was Soldiers in Mapuspalad. The sampling method used was saturated sampling. Saturated sampling uses a relatively small population even though both use the entire population as a sample. (Sugiyono, 2017:122). The data used is primary data using a questionnaire, with a sample of 105 Soldiers in Mapuspalad as respondents. The analysis carried out was multiple linear regression analysis, f-test and simple t-test. From the results of this research, it was found that the f-test was 11.006 > f-table 1.665 and the significance was 0.000 < 0.05, so organizational culture and competence had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Soldiers in Mapuspalad. The calculated t-test results of the organizational culture variable (X1) are 4.074 > t-table 1.665 and sig 0.000 with the results having a positive and significant effect on the performance of Soldiers in Mapuspalad while the t-calculated competency (X2) is 2.832 > t-table 1.665 and significant 0.006, with the results having a positive and significant effect on the performance of Soldiers in Mapuspalad

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), leverage, and sales growth on financial performance in Food and Beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. The background of this research lies in the fluctuating financial performance and the uneven implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility. CSR is measured using disclosure scores based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, leverage is measured using the Debt to Equity Ratio, sales growth is measured by the annual percentage change in sales compared to the previous year, and financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). This research employs a quantitative method with purposive sampling, involving 14 companies as the research sample. The data used are secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. The data analysis technique applied is multiple linear regression, processed using SPSS version 25. The results indicate that, partially, Corporate Social Responsibility has no significant effect, leverage has a significant negative effect, and sales growth has no significant effect on financial performance. Simultaneously, CSR, leverage, and sales growth significantly influence financial performance. These findings provide important implications for companies to pay greater attention to both internal and external factors in improving their financial performance.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Evaluation of Food Estate Policy in Central Sumba (Case Study of Food Estate Development in Umbu Pabal and Wairasa Villages). The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the food estate policy in Umbu Pabal and Wairasa Villages, Central Sumba Regency. The theory used in this study is the policy implementation by Merilee S. Grindle. This study employed qualitative research methods, with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of this study, the implementation of this program has experienced complex and diverse dynamics in various aspects. Overall, this program has had a positive impact on both villages, but with varying degrees of success depending on the local context and implementation approach. From a policy content analysis perspective, the Food Estate program has undergone a significant transformation from a centralized approach to a more participatory model in terms of the interests affected.
