Abstract

This study aims to describe the stages of assisting the establishment of waste banks in urban areas. This is based on the existence of problems in urban areas, especially in the field of environment (settlements) and economy. The approach used in the implementation of mentoring is community asset-based community development. The role of the companion as a facilitator in the process of social change in the community. The results showed the success of community empowerment in urban areas by utilizing community assets. This success took the form of the establishment of the "Songolikoer" Waste Bank. The establishment of a Waste Bank is a form of optimizing tangible and intangible community assets. Support for community participation in the implementation of the community asset-based empowerment phase has an important role to bring about change in society. The community asset-based community development approach can be integrated with other approaches such as SWOT analysis or partnerships..

Abstract

Through the Partner Village Development program, the Training and Assistance Program for Bioslurry Compost Fertilizer Production aims to empower farmer groups (Mulyo Sejati) and livestock groups (Maju Bersama) in Puntukdoro village, Magetan Regency (PPDM). This activity aims to make use of bioslurry waste (available at nearly 200 liters per day) and agricultural and livestock waste, which is abundant in industrially produced Bioslurry compost. The method used in this community empowerment activity is the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach. From April to December 2021, this activity lasted for eight months. This activity resulted in a map of partner assets, increased partner knowledge of using bioslurry waste, agricultural waste, and livestock (with a 75 percent understanding rate), and increased partner income through profit from production and commercialization. The total revenue generated by partners in a single production cycle is 7.5 million dollars

Abstract

This village development program aims to develop Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) cultivation using floating net cage system. The main target was tilapia production to increase income for community. This program was conducted for 6 months with the target of Pokdakan Sepakat Makmur located in the village of Alur Cucur. The main problems faced by the group were the lack of knowledge about tilapia cultivation techniques using floating net cage, aquaculture activities are still conventionally in earthen ponds. In addition, the capital stock is lacking, and financial administration records are still weak. The activities carried out include: training on fish rearing techniques, making floating net cages by partners who were accompanied by program implementers, cultivating tilapia in rivers using floating net cages, and distributing partner products. At the end of the activity, an evaluation of the implementation and sustainability of the program was carried out after completion of implementation activities.

Abstract

Galengdowo Village has both natural and artificial tourism potential. The problem is that the promotion has not been carried out optimally and has not been integrated into one website and the lack of tourist information for prospective tourists. The goal of this action is to progress tourist villages through digitization and web sites. The methods used are training, mentoring, supervising, and asessment. The findings indicate this the tutoring and assistance in operating the web and the design of the promotion greatly impact the participants, it can regarded the finding of monitoring through the galengdowo. id web. he tourist information center is very much needed by the manager because it can provide information about tourist attractions to tourists. The results of the organizational management training, namely increasing the quality of Pokdarwis managers, which initially did not have a job description and after the training, there was a job description for each administrator

Abstract

Packaging is one of the aspects that affecting the trust of consumers to a product. As a small enterprise, OkeFarm Neglasari Women Farmer had no packaging expert. The aim of this community service is to provide a good packaging to help them gaining new consumers. The packaging rebranding, developed by market analysist methods and adjusted to the financial ability of the small enterprise. The finalized designs were tested to packaging acceptance test by mean questioner methods. Rebranding resulted 30 new loyal consumers, 25 of them responded to the questioners. 76% of the new consumers were females and 24% of it were males. Most of the new consumers were at age range 31-35 years old (44%) and 26-30 years old (36%). The rebranding effective to attract consumers with income range 3.1-6 million IDR (40%), and 6.1-9 million IDR (24%). The new food packaging brand significantly increased the acceptance of vegetables products.

Abstract

Pediculosis capitis is a disease caused by head lice infestation (Pediculus humanus capitis). This disease is often overlooked because it does not cause fatal symptoms but can interfere concentration and activities of the affected individual. Infestation of parasite often affects a group of children in an orphanage, dormitory or boarding school. The purpose of this activity is to carried out at the Al-Muslimun Islamic Boarding School in Muda Setia Village, Bandar Seikijang District, Pelalawan, Riau Province. The target audience is students of tsanawiyah totaling 178 students. On examination, 93% were positive for pediculosis capitis. The students were given treatment of permethrin 1% and counseling in the form education on how to prevent and eradicate the disease. In addition to students, education is also given to musyrifah. It is hoped that students who have received treatment and education can receive and apply the knowledge gained so that can eradicate the disease.

Abstract

Tourism village innovation through the development of agro-tourism villages is an effort to encourage village development based on agricultural and plantation potentials owned by Mekarwangi Village, Sindangkerta District, West Bandung Regency. The implementation of activities is carried out with a participatory approach through three main stages, firstly increasing the capacity of the community to understand tourism, secondly increasing the institutional capacity of Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), and thirdly testing various tourism products that have been produced. This activity resulted in several things, namely the identification of potential tourist attractions, the formation of Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), the establishment of a pioneering Kampung Ganyol, the arrangement of the mekarwangi agrotourism village tour package, and the creation of an increase in the quality of agrohomestays.

Abstract

An environment that does not motivate the sustainability of education is a central issue in Tumbang Habaon Village, Tewah District, Gunung Mas Regency. This issue is illustrated by the weak motivation of students to come to school to study, the lack of parental guidance for school-age children and the school's not being optimal in conducting effective learning for students, especially during the pandemic. This community cervice of Christian Religious Education Study Program aims to empower education sustainability through Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach between parents, schools and also church. The problems were found then designed in several action plan including 1) Parent’s role in fostering student motivation to continue their education through parenting seminar; 2) Fostering the motivation of Junior High School (SMPN 4 Tewah) to learn and directing them to have goals in their education process through “Kelas Inspirasi” activities; 3) Train teachers of SMPN 4 Tewah in Tumbang Habaon to be able to evaluate effective learning and have implications for student learning development through K’13 Assessment Instruments Training; 4) Christian Education in GKE Kapania Congregation in Tumbang Habaon as an effort to urge residents about the importance of education through Sunday School (SHM) and Youth Service (SPRP). Participatory Action Research which has been done, were carried out between parents, students, congregation members and stake holder in Tumbang Habaon had a new perspective on the importance of education for children’s future and also collaborative motivation between parents, schools and the community to support the sustainability of education for the children in Tumbang Habaon

Abstract

In developing digital teaching materials, some applications can be used including the Smart Apps Creator (SAC) application. Through this application, the process of developing teaching materials can be done more easily because it does not use coding. This activity aims to improve the professional competence of Arabic language teachers in the development of application-based teaching materials. In this community service activity, a Service Learning (SL) approach was used in which, an experience-based approach that involves students in various activities and use their experiences to develop their abilities and skills for communities. Service activities were carried out at MIN 4 Pangkalan Bun and in the hall of the Ministry of Religion's Office in Regency of West Kotawaringin. The stages carried out consist of pre service, during service, and post service. The results of this community service activity can be explained as follows. 1. Teachers get benefits from mentoring activities in the form of the ability to produce teaching and evaluation materials output by using the Smart Apps Creator application. 2. Teachers can develop their own further materials by using templates that they have made by themselves. 3. The professional competence of teachers increased through their success in developing teaching materials using applications. 4. The obstacles faced by teachers in using the application are more technical matters that can be overcome during the mentoring.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling about the introduction of edible plants that can be used and techniques or processing methods as an alternative food. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) is used where the community is effectively involved in formulating plans and policies. Data collection is done directly in the form of primary and secondary data. At the same time, the data analysis technique is done by interactive analysis. The results of the service include 1) recognizing wild plant species as alternative food or plants that are always used as garden plants, 2) Potential edible plants that can be utilized can be in the form of leaves and stems or young stalks, roots, and tubers, fruits and vegetables. Nuts or seeds and grains; 3) It contains enough nutrients for nutritional needs and food supplements and health, both of which have the potential as internal and external drugs.
