Abstract

The mentoring and demonstration plot program with the application of technology carried out by the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada Team was proven to be able to increase the productivity and quality of soybeans, although some were only applied partially (not completely) from the recommended technology package, this was constrained by many factors in each mentoring area. In the Cilacap area, the demonstration plot results showed a fairly high potential reaching 2.24 tons/ha in Bantarsari, 2.94 and 3.77 tons/ha in Kawunganten, while in Majenang before harvesting soybeans showed good potential with 130-140 pods. per plant, this is of course the potential yield can reach above 3.0 tons/ha, but unfortunately it was affected by the flood due to the broken embankment, so the soybeans were inundated and damaged (rotten) in a relatively short time. The process of technology transfer and adoption that occurred went well, and many farmers gave testimony that this mentoring program was good to be developed and continued, so that under conditions according to the growing season, they would be able to show even better potential.

Abstract

Waninggap Miraf is one of the villages with its main source of income being rice cultivation. Rainfed rice fields are managed by relying on rainwater stored in reservoirs, requiring Alkon pumps to control and supply water. However, operational costs for irrigating the fields have increased due to using oil-based fuels in the Alkon pumps. The implementation of Portable Solar-Powered Submersible Pump Technology (PSTSP) is expected to solve the challenges farmers face. The method utilized is harnessing solar energy as an alternative to oil-based fuels. The dissemination of this technology aims to optimize operational costs and enhance farmers' knowledge of utilizing renewable energy in agriculture. The implementation of this community-driven project involves the participation of the local community in the process of socialization, planning, design, training, and technology application. Based on trial results, this project has successfully increased farmers' knowledge and reduced operational costs by sustaining for up to 4 hours, supplying approximately 12,000 liters of water per hour.

Abstract

: A collaborative approach between stakeholders can create regional tourism resilience from an institutional perspective. Therefore, stakeholders' level of interest and influence needs to be identified, classified, analyzed and evaluate comprehensively through case studies from the Penta Helix collaboration model and Actor-Network Theory (ANT) perspective. This study uses qualitative interpretative methods through a case study of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program conducted by the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in research learning involving lecturers and students in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. Meanwhile, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was also held involving the Tourism Awareness Group known as Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), Tourism Destination Managers, and the Tourism Department of Local Government. The data processing of this research uses the triangulation technique to obtain valid and credible information. This study indicates that MBKM Project can integrate the stakeholders' interest and influence through various development programs to achieve tourism resilience which is beneficial for the socio-economic, socio-cultural, and socio-ecological dimensions. The Penta Helix collaboration model and ANT perspectives can monitor network development to identify key actors as senders, recipients, subjects, objects, assistants, and challengers in the actant scheme to optimize message translation for integrating interests.

Abstract

Bamboo has many benefits from roots to stems and is very easy to obtain in Indonesia. Bamboo is widely used for handicraft products, woven materials, textiles, buildings, and bridges. In addition, bamboo fiber has also been processed into various products to increase its potential and economic value, namely for applications in the field of engineering, including automotive, aircraft, and solar panels. However, the availability of bamboo fiber in Indonesia is not easy to obtain, and bamboo waste from handicraft products is generally only used for fuel. The bamboo waste is combined with natural kenaf fiber and processed into a composite material with an epoxy resin binder through this community service activity. The composite product is then used to innovate the walking aids (walkers) for people with disabilities, namely by adding eating and drinking mats to the walker. The composite material has also been tested for its impact toughness before use. This innovative product is expected to increase user benefits in rural communities.
