Abstract

This independent campus is a new policy which will bring changes in education so that it becomes freer with an innovative learning culture. The programs offered by the independent campus are very diverse, adapting to the needs of each student and university. This research aims to determine changes in the quality and skills of students who join the independent campus program. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a literature research type. Data collection in this research uses documentation study techniques by analyzing the contents of previous documents or journals that are relevant to the topic being studied. The data sources in this study are various books and journals. The research results show that the implementation of the independent campus program is effective in improving the quality of students in preparing themselves to enter the world of work. In the era of industrial revolution 5.0, student’s abilities must be further improved because competition will be increasingly fierce, so the MBKM program is very helpful.

Abstract

Creativity is an essential aspect in education to prepare learners to face complex future challenges. P5 activities (P5 Student Profile Strengthening Project) serve as an effort to enhance the creativity of students at SMPN 281 Jakarta. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach to evaluate the effectiveness of P5 activities in improving the creativity of eighth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires completed by 70 students and interviews with 3 teachers, including the P5 coordinator. The research findings indicate that the effectiveness of P5 activities in enhancing student creativity reaches a very high category, with a percentage of 92%. Student creativity experiences a significant improvement, particularly in generating new ideas, viewing problems from various perspectives, seeking alternative solutions, and daring to undertake challenging tasks. However, there is still room for improvement, especially in aspects of creativity related to unconventional thinking to express oneself. Teachers and the P5 coordinator play crucial roles in designing and implementing P5 activities to create an environment conducive to student creativity growth. In conclusion, P5 activities are effective in enhancing the creativity of eighth-grade students at SMPN 281 Jakarta, yet continuous improvement is needed to achieve maximum creative potential.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students achievement and active participation in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 172 Jakarta in the Social Studies subject. This research is based on the importance of preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century, which require critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 35 students from class VIII-3 as participants. There are two cycles in this study, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. In the first cycle, although PBL was implemented, only 43% of students scored above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 80, with an average score of 71. Additionally, their activeness in asking questions, answering, expressing opinions, and solving problems was still low. Reflection indicated that students needed time to adapt to PBL and required more motivation from the teacher. In the second cycle, after improvements were made, there was a significant increase. As many as 89% of students scored above the KKM of 80, with an average score of 88. Student activeness also increased with more active participation in class activities. This shows that students better understood and adapted to the PBL model and received better encouragement from the teacher. In conclusion, the implementation of the PBL model is effective in improving students achievement and active participation in the Social Studies subject at SMP Negeri 172 Jakarta. This is evidenced by the significant increase in students average scores and their active participation in learning. The PBL model is capable of stimulating students critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, as well as enhancing their engagement in learning, creating a more conducive and efficient environment for achieving educational goals.

Abstract

This research is aimed at elevating the learning outcomes in Social Studies for the 8B class of SMP Negeri 16 Jakarta by integrating digital literacy into the students' curriculum. Employing a Classroom Action Research method, the study spanned three cycles, involving 35 students from the aforementioned class. Conducted from March to May 2024 at SMP Negeri 16 Jakarta, data collection included observation, testing, and documentation. Results revealed a significant enhancement in student academic performance through the implementation of digital literacy in Social Studies instruction. Analysis across cycles demonstrated consistent improvement in learning mastery, with percentages escalating from 62.85% in the first cycle to 77.14% in the second, and ultimately reaching 85.71% in the third cycle. Beyond academic achievement, the integration of digital literacy fostered active student engagement in the learning process. Students participated more vigorously in discussions, shared information, and adeptly utilized technology to access learning resources. This underscores the dual role of digital literacy: not only as a means of information retrieval but also as a tool for fostering deeper student engagement. Consequently, these findings offer valuable insights for enhancing educational quality, particularly in leveraging digital technology to facilitate more effective and interactive learning experiences.

Abstract

Self-efficacy, an individual's belief in their ability to achieve academic success, plays a crucial role in the academic adjustment of new students facing the transition from high school to university. The university environment, which is full of academic and social demands, requires good self-adjustment for students to cope with pressures and achieve academic performance. This study aims to identify the influence of self-efficacy on academic adjustment through a systematic literature review by analyzing journal articles from the last five years obtained from electronic databases such as Science Direct, ProQuest, Springer Link, and Google Scholar. From this search, six journals relevant to the research theme were identified. The review results indicate that five journals show a direct relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment, while one journal shows an indirect involvement. In conclusion, self-efficacy significantly helps new students adjust to the academic and social challenges at the university, which in turn enhances academic performance and reduces stress. This study highlights the importance of studying new students and using a systematic literature review to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment, which has not been widely discussed in previous research.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship Education at Islamic educational institutions (Case Study of Al-Imron Integrated Islamic Middle School). Judging from observations of Entrepreneurship education so far, there has been great attention to the existence of Entrepreneurship education in this school. Entrepreneurship education can be said to be the education of prospective entrepreneurs so that a person has self-confidence, courage, independence and skill so that they can minimize failure in a business. The aim of this research is how to implement Entrepreneurship education developed at Integrated Islamic Middle Schools and what problems are faced by Integrated Islamic Middle Schools; This research uses field research with a qualitative case study type approach; The research location was carried out at Al-Imron Integrated Islamic Middle School, Pekamban, Sumenep Regency; Informants for the implementation of this research were school principals, teachers and students; Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation; The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions; The results of the research explain that there are two types of implementation of Entrepreneurship education developed at Integrated Islamic Middle Schools, namely the first formal type in the form of lesson plans and entrepreneurial practices by cultivating used goods and making food and drinks (herbal), the second non-formal type in the form of a bazaar. The problems faced by Integrated Islamic Middle Schools are limited study time and students lack of enthusiasm for Entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

Education is the backbone and main tool for a country’s development, because it emphasizes the quality of human resources (HR). Education aims to brighten the nation’s future with an intelligent and characterful generation. Learning, as an interaction between teachers, students, and learning resources, is a systematic process involving interrelated components to achieve optimal results. This literature review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of learning theory and learning in educational practice. In this research, the researcher used a literature review method which aims to identify, find and analyze documents related to the research problem. The results of the research show that this consistency has a crucial role in creating a predictive learning environment, facilitating the continuity of curriculum and strategy development. teaching, facilitates the transfer of learning, and forms a strong foundation for an effective and sustainable learning experience for students. Consistency in applying learning and learning theories, such as behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and humanism, helps educators in designing structured and directed learning. This allows students to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter and skills that are important for learning. In conclusion, the consistency of learning and learning theories in education is an important factor for achieving educational goals. By consistently applying learning theories, an intelligent and characterful generation can be created that is ready to build a brighter future for the nation.

Christian education not only provides religious knowledge but also builds character and unites communities. Therefore, education must be built with a deep conceptual sistematics to understand the complex relationship between religion, society, and education which will be based on the foundation of the sociology of Christian education one of which is by understanding the sociology of education. The sociological foundation of education is very important because it can maintain the values of the Christian faith in education while overcoming global challenges and technological advances in the midst of today's modern world. The sociology of Christian education is a solid and strong foundation to respond to changing times without losing the values or core identity of the Christian faith. The sociology of Christian education will maintain how the values and principles of the truth of the Christian faith are related to the way believers live their lives. It is intended to assist each believer in carrying out his or her calling in the world and help reach souls for Christ. Therefore, it is expected that Christian education must continue to adapt to the changing times by maintaining the principles and values of Christian teaching. This study aims to contribute to Christian Education teachers in facing various challenges as a result of rapid technological development. Sociology of Education plays an important role in modern Christian education in order to understand social dynamics, build character, and build a strong community. by maintaining Christian values that pattern and give meaning to each stage of education, without reducing moral values. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and work discipline on employee performance at PT. Telkom Witel Bekasi. Human Resources (HR) are a critical element in achieving a company's vision and mission, where employee performance is greatly influenced by environmental factors and work discipline. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 46 organic employees, sampled through the saturated sampling method. Data was collected through observation and questionnaires, then analyzed using data quality tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis tests, and multiple linear regression. The results show that both the work environment and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The work environment has a positive influence on performance by 35%, while work discipline contributes 44.2%. Simultaneously, these two variables affect employee performance by 45.7%, while the remaining 54.3% is influenced by other factors not examined. In conclusion, improving a conducive work environment and good work discipline can enhance employee performance at PT. Telkom Witel Bekasi.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students’ interest in learning English by using picture card media through Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The subjects of the study were students of class X IPS MA Al-Djufri Pamekasan who experienced low interest in learning English. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collected through observation and questionnaires were analyzed to determine the development of students’ interest in learning. The results showed that the use of picture cards could significantly increase students’ interest in learning. In cycle I, the level of students’ interest in learning was recorded at 60%, which indicated a lack of active involvement and motivation in learning English. After the implementation of picture cards in cycle II, students’ interest in learning increased to 83%. This increase can be seen from the increased participation of students in teaching and learning activities, enthusiasm in discussions, and better ability to understand the material. The application of picture cards proved to be effective in attracting students’ attention and facilitating the understanding of English materials, especially vocabulary and sentence structure. This study is in line with visual learning theory which states that the use of visual media can improve students’ memory and engagement. Thus, the use of picture cards as learning media is recommended for English teachers to improve students’ interest and learning outcomes. Further research is expected to explore the use of other media in foreign language learning.
