Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that has a long-term impact on physical growth, cognitive development, and the quality of human resources in the future. This study aims to determine the relationship between family income and nutritional status of toddlers on the incidence of stunting in the Bukit Cening Daik Health Center working area, Lingga Regency, 2024. This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 62 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and anthropometric measurements, then analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between family income and nutritional status of children under five with the incidence of stunting (p < 0.05). This finding suggests that economic conditions and nutritional status play an important role in preventing stunting. Therefore, nutrition interventions targeting low-income families need to be strengthened to reduce stunting in the area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between perfectionism and academic burnout among final-year students in Jakarta. Academic burnout is defined as stress arising from the learning process that results in emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low academic performance (Sagita & Meilyawati, 2021). Perfectionism is considered a personality disposition characterized by concerns about self-evaluation, overly critical self-assessment, and striving to achieve perfect personal standards (Hill, 2017). This study employs a quantitative approach, involving final-year university students in Jakarta aged 20–25 years who are in their 7th–9th semesters. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The measurement tools used were the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale developed by Flett and Hewitt (1991) and the School Burnout Inventory developed by Salmela-Aro, Kiuru, Leskinen, and Nurmi in 2009. The results of the correlation test using Pearson Correlation yielded a value of r = 0.854, with significance 0.000 p < 0.05. These results indicate that there is a relationship between perfectionism and academic burnout among final-year students in Jakarta. Based on the correlation test per dimension, the results show that there is a relationship between perfectionism and all dimensions of academic burnout, especially the exhaustion dimension. Additionally, there is a relationship between academic burnout and all dimensions of perfectionism, particularly the socially prescribed perfectionism dimension. This indicates that the higher an individual's level of perfectionism, the higher their level of academic burnout.

Abstract

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people that are passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. Education often occurs under the guidance of others, but is also possible autodidactically. The etymology of the word Education comes from the Latin "Educare" which means "to educate" or to nurture, learning motivation is the desire that arises in students that causes learning activities to occur. The existence of learning motivation will ensure the sustainability of learning activities and provide direction to learning activities so that the goals desired by the learning subject can be achieved. And intrinsic value refers to the actual and fundamental value of a learning, and intrinsic value is used in learning in the formation of student values in the ongoing learning process, in this study involved 306 student respondents from all over the Jabodetabek area with the value of the regression test measured into the coefficient b result of 0.286 for every 1% addition it will increase by 1,060 which is measured in the regression value equation Y = 0.286 - 1.060 and also the criteria for adding ha at 0.000 which means less than 0.05 which means there is no significance in the regression test properly.

Abstract

Loneliness is a subjective emotional experience commonly observed during emerging adulthood (ages 18–25). In this phase, shifts in emotional and affiliative needs may increase vulnerability to loneliness, particularly in the absence of intimate relationships. One intrapersonal factor influencing loneliness is attachment style, emotional bonding patterns formed in early childhood that shape the quality of interpersonal relationships in adulthood. This study aims to examine the relationship between attachment style and loneliness among emerging adults who are not currently in romantic relationships. A quantitative correlational method was employed using purposive sampling, involving 208 unmarried participants aged 18–25 who were not in romantic relationships. The instruments used were the Indonesian version of the Attachment Style Questionnaire (ASQ) and the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. Spearman correlation analysis revealed a significant negative relationship between secure attachment and loneliness (r = -0.748**, p < 0.01), and a significant positive relationship between fearful attachment and loneliness (r = 0.273**, p < 0.01). No significant associations were found for preoccupied or dismissing attachment styles. These findings highlight the important role of attachment style in shaping loneliness experiences among young adults who are not romantically involved.

Abstract

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is an emergency condition in which a group of symptoms of acute ischemic chest pain are part of coronary heart disease (CHD) and require immediate treatment. The prevalence of CHD in Aceh is higher than the national average of 1.6% or around 20,244 people. This study is expected to describe the prevalence, number of deaths (mortality) and average length of stay (LOS) of STEMI patients during hospitalization so that this data can significantly enhance knowledge for health practitioners and be used as a warning to be more aware of STEMI incidents in Aceh. This study uses a retrospective descriptive research design with a research sample of all patients diagnosed with ACS with ST-Elevation who were hospitalized at Dr. Fauziah Hospital in June 2022-June 2023. The data collection technique is total sampling obtained from medical record data. It was concluded that the majority of patients were male, namely 80.7% (71 patients), the highest age was 45-60 years with 45 cases (51.1%). History of CHD was the dominant risk factor (62% of cases). The most dominant type of ACS with ST-Elevation was Anterior STEMI as many as 32 cases (52.3%) with onset <12 hours (51% of cases) and predominantly came with KILLIP I (62.5% of cases). The most dominant management was with conservative therapy 56 cases (61.4%). The average length of patient care was 5 days (45.1%) and the most outcomes with outpatients as many as 72 cases (81.8%).

Abstract

Pharmacology is the study of drug interactions with living organisms. This study aims to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of several drug preparations, including Hemilon (methylprednisolone), Lupred (prednisolone), Kamathasone (dexamethasone), neem leaf infusion, and snakehead fish extract, on mice (Mus musculus) induced with inflammation using carrageenan solution via intraplantar injection. Edema volume was observed using a plethysmometer at 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes post-induction. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, ANOVA, and Tukey tests via SPSS. Results showed that Hemilon had the highest anti-inflammatory effect, followed by Kamathasone and Lupred, while neem leaf and fish extract showed weaker activity. Statistical tests revealed normal distribution (sig. 0.197 > 0.05), non-homogeneous data (sig. 0.022 < 0.05), and no significant difference between groups (ANOVA sig. 0.366 > 0.05). Despite this, descriptive results confirmed strong anti-inflammatory potential of synthetic drugs. This practicum provides valuable insights into drug mechanisms and emphasizes methodological accuracy in pharmacological testing.

Abstract

Unexplained infertility remains a significant clinical challenge, defined by the inability to conceive despite normal findings in standard fertility evaluations, including ovulation, tubal patency, and semen analysis. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) has emerged as a preferred first-line treatment for these cases due to its minimally invasive procedure, cost-effectiveness, and ease of administration. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of IUI in improving pregnancy outcomes among couples with unexplained infertility through a comprehensive literature review spanning the last ten years. A total of 20 peer-reviewed articles were analyzed, sourced from PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The selection criteria included full-text availability, English language, and direct relevance to IUI and unexplained infertility. The review encompassed randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, observational research, and meta-analyses. The majority of studies reported positive outcomes, particularly when IUI was combined with ovulation induction agents such as letrozole or clomiphene citrate. Notably, pregnancy success rates were highest during the first three cycles of IUI treatment. Several factors were identified as key predictors of IUI success, including maternal age under 35 years, the presence of multiple mature follicles, optimal endometrial thickness, and good sperm parameters. Additionally, the psychological and emotional support provided to couples undergoing IUI played a role in treatment adherence and outcome satisfaction. In conclusion, IUI represents an effective and pragmatic initial treatment for couples with unexplained infertility, especially when guided by individualized protocols and clinical indicators. Proper patient counseling and realistic expectations regarding success rates are essential. Further studies are recommended to explore long-term outcomes, cost-benefit ratios, and comparative effectiveness with other fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Abstract

The Caesarean Section (C-Section) procedure is one of the most common surgical methods for childbirth, performed through an incision in the abdominal wall (laparotomy) and the uterine wall (hysterotomy). Despite its effectiveness in ensuring maternal and fetal safety, one of the major postoperative complaints reported by patients is pain. Pain itself is defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, which is subjective and can only be described by the person experiencing it. Unmanaged pain may negatively affect postoperative recovery, emotional well-being, mobility, and breastfeeding initiation. Therefore, appropriate nursing care interventions are essential to help patients achieve comfort and recovery. This scientific paper explores the implementation of sacral plexus therapy as part of nursing interventions to address pain problems in post-C-section patients. The study employed a case study approach that applied the nursing care process, which includes comprehensive assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation of interventions, and evaluation. Nursing care was carried out over a period of 72 hours (3x24 hours), with pain intensity and patient comfort levels monitored throughout the process. The evaluation results showed that all nursing diagnoses related to pain were successfully resolved within the given timeframe. Specifically, the application of sacral plexus therapy proved effective in reducing the intensity of postoperative pain and improving overall comfort, enabling patients to gradually regain mobility and adapt to their postpartum condition. In conclusion, sacral plexus therapy can serve as a complementary and non-pharmacological intervention within nursing care to effectively manage pain in post-C-section patients. These findings highlight the importance of innovative and holistic approaches in nursing practice to improve patient recovery and quality of care after surgical childbirth.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease caused by Salmonella typhi bacteria, and is generally spread through contaminated food or drinks. One of the effective prevention efforts is to maintain personal hygiene, especially washing your hands before eating. This study aims to determine the relationship between handwashing compliance with the incidence of typhoid fever in children treated at PKU Muhammadiyah Delanggu Hospital. The research design used is observational analysis with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique was carried out by accidental sampling with a total of 34 children. Data were collected through questionnaires that measured the level of handwashing compliance and the history of typhoid fever incidence. The analysis of the relationship between variables was carried out using the Chi Square statistical test. The results showed that as many as 20 children (58.82%) had good handwashing compliance, with an average compliance score of 7.79 ± 1.666. Meanwhile, as many as 18 children (52.94%) were recorded to have typhoid fever. The results of the Chi Square test showed a p-value of 0.681, which means that there was no significant association between handwashing compliance and the incidence of typhoid fever in children at the study site. The conclusion of this study is that handwashing compliance has not shown a significant relationship with the incidence of typhoid fever in children at PKU Muhammadiyah Delanggu Hospital. These findings indicate the need for further studies by considering other factors such as water quality, environmental sanitation, and food consumption habits, in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the prevention of typhoid fever in children.
