Abstract

The number of Twitter (X) users in Indonesia is 24 million people, ranked 5th in the world. Twitter tweets color the 2024 presidential election. The presidential candidate has a large Twitter following, along with his popularity. Prabowo has 4.5 million, Anies 4.5 million, and Ganjar 2.6 million followers on Twitter. Supporters of the presidential candidate can campaign with tweets to convey the programs and ideas of the presidential candidate they support to attract the sympathy of other Twitter readers. Twitter applies specific policies, namely paid political promotion posts. The policy includes rules banning the promotion of fake content and content that can potentially undermine public trust in elections. Twitter also created a global advertising transparency center so users can track political ads on the platform. This policy change is said to impact the 2024 election significantly. Twitter is also currently creating a team overseeing safety and election policies to combat manipulation of the election content, display inauthentic accounts, and monitor threats that may appear on the platform.

Abstract

The background of this research highlights the importance of Transformational Leadership for the application of information technology in local government in Indonesia, primarily through the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in Sumedang Regency with innovative efforts such as e-Office applications have marked a commitment in implementing technology to improve public services. However, the critical role of regional heads and organizational structures, especially the head of the General Section at the Sumedang Regional Secretariat, is still faced with significant challenges related to technology adoption, integration of modern applications, and human resource management that have not been in line with the digital era. Quantitative research methods were used to investigate the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) with data analysis using SPSS. Data were obtained through surveys, interviews, questionnaires, and related documentation. The analysis showed a positive, albeit weak, relationship between Transformational Leadership and OCB. However, a low correlation (0.381) indicates a minimal relationship. A high p-value (0.26) indicates the statistical insignificance of this relationship. Regression confirms that changes in Transformational Leadership do not significantly affect OCB. A low R Square (0.112) indicates that Transformational Leadership explains only a tiny percentage of OCB behavior. Despite the positive relationship, Transformational Leadership is needed to drive more significant changes in the application of technology and improvement of public services in the local government of Sumedang.

Abstract

Government performance alone does not produce information policy; cultural involvement plays a major role in meeting people's information demands. It's useful to understand more about the evolution of cultural involvement in Indonesian information policy implementation, regardless of the quantity and diversity of publications. Studying the key components of cultural participation in the literature on information policy requires a thorough bibliometric investigation. The purpose of this study is to look into patterns of growth and pinpoint areas for future research that other scholars might want to take up. In order to further define the research objectives, the methodology utilized through Scopus is extended to include VOSviewer data processing. According to the findings, there is a tendency for the number of publications on this subject to rise between 2013 and 2022. This suggests that there may be more study possibilities in the future to examine Indonesia's public information regulations' transparency.
