Abstract

This study analyzes the economic resilience of Indonesia and Malaysia during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on economic stability. The research explores pre-pandemic economic conditions, the impact of COVID-19 on GDP, inflation, unemployment, and government debt, as well as recovery efforts through fiscal and monetary policies. Data from Statistics Indonesia, Department of Statistics Malaysia, World Bank, and IMF were used. Results indicate that Indonesia experienced a faster economic recovery, with GDP growth returning to pre-pandemic levels quicker than Malaysia. The economic impact of the pandemic in Indonesia is lower, supported by the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN) and Bank Indonesia's monetary policy. Malaysia experienced a slower recovery despite fiscal stimulus and monetary intervention from Bank Negara Malaysia. The findings show Indonesia has better economic resilience with a quick recovery on key economic indicators, providing important lessons for policymakers. Economic diversification, efficient government spending, sustainable debt management, flexible monetary policy, and appropriate fiscal policy are key to economic resilience and stability. Future research can focus on the long-term impact of COVID-19 on economic structure and labor market to improve the understanding of economic resilience.

Abstract

Abstract

Human rights and sexual violence are major issues in Indonesia, as the former violates victims' human rights and dignity. Situations are made worse by stigma and a lack of security. In addition to examining potential alternatives for creating a future free from sexual violence, this essay looks at Indonesia's link between sexual violence and human rights. The realization of victims' rights is hampered by stigma and a lack of access to rehabilitation services. Human Rights (HAM) are fundamental rights that all people naturally possess since they are gifts from God that are ingrained in all people and need to be protected, loved, and cherished. Human rights ought to be protected by the relevant constitution of Indonesia, a constitutional state of law. Due to the high annual incidence rate, sexual violence is still a significant problem in Indonesia. One way that human rights are violated is through sexual violence. This study aims to examine sexual violence, which is regarded as a human rights violation. Article 28 of Chapter XA of the Indonesian Constitution contains regulations pertaining to the right to be free from discriminatory treatment and treatment. A child's right to life, development, and protection from discrimination and violence are all governed by laws. Due to its connection to human dignity, sexual assault must be viewed through the lens of crimes against human rights

Abstract

Abstract The provision of affordable and livable housing in Jakarta faces significant challenges, primarily due to uncontrolled land price increases, high construction costs, and a lack of incentives for developers to adopt green building concepts. Ministerial Regulation No. 21/2021 by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) outlines green building performance assessments, yet its implementation remains limited, particularly for low-income housing projects. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes the barriers to implementing green building policies in affordable housing. Findings indicate that without policy intervention, housing prices in Jakarta are projected to double by 2045. Furthermore, low public awareness of the benefits of green housing results in limited demand for sustainable housing. A comparative study with policies in other countries, such as Paris, reveals that effective green building implementation requires financial incentives, regulatory ease, and stronger government support. Therefore, this study recommends providing subsidies and tax reductions for developers, educating the public about green housing, and simplifying regulations to ensure housing affordability and sustainability in Jakarta. Keywords: Green building, livable housing, land prices, housing policy, low-income households.
