Abstract

Abstrak Dalam penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan efektivitas penilain portofolio dalam mengukur kompetensi siswa di MA Baiturrahman Cipanengah, Kota Sukabumi. Hal ini penting untuk diungkap karena penilaian portofolio merupakan salah satu bentuk penilaian autentik yang dapat memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang capaian kompetensi siswa, meliputi aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitik. Pengumpulan datanya dengan wawancara, obsevasi dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian di MA Baiturrahman Cipanengah, Kota Sukabumi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan realitas pelaksanaan penilaian portofolio di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian portofolio di MA Baiturrahman cukup efektif dalam mengukur kompetensi siswa secara menyeluruh, namun masih ditemukan kendala terkait manajemen waktu dan objektivitas penilaian yang perlu ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Foreign Language Anxiety is considered as one of factors that might hinder learners to perform well during the learning process in English as a Foreign Language classroom. The objectives of this study was to explore Factors causing language anxiety of EFL students in classroom presentation and students’ strategy to overcome their language anxiety in EFL classroom presentation. This research applied qualitative case study research method. The participants of this research were the students of English education department of under graduate Program of State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar. The data were obtained from the questionnaire, classroom observation and interview. Based on the result of the study showed the factors causing language anxiety of EFL classroom presentation, those are: Psychological factors and Linguistics factors. Which is the Psychological factors consist of nervousness, fear of making mistake, lack of confident, and shyness and Linguistics factors consist of poor of pronunciation and lack of proficiency. This also delivered a student’s ways to overcome their language anxiety, those are pedagogic strategy and digitalizing Strategy.

Abstract

This research aims: (1) To describe and implement stimulation of gross motor physical development, (2) To describe and carry out various kinds of body movements that can stimulate aspects of gross motor physical development, (3) Apply methods that are beneficial for physical motor development rude to children aged 5-6 years. The qualitative descriptive approach method was used by researchers to obtain data through observation, question and answer, and documentation. From the results of this research, it was found that the role of body movement is very beneficial for the physical development of gross motor skills, namely through various kinds of games designed by teachers using methods that can encourage motor activities to be developed. The methods used can include jumping activities with two children with one right foot or left foot or two feet together, running, moving a ball, games using hula-hoops and other games that require power from large muscles. Support and cooperation between teachers and parents is needed in providing stimulation for gross motor development in children aged 5-6 years. Thus, understanding the Child Development Achievement Level Standards (STPPA) can be the basis for developing a holistic learning approach focused on the gross motor development of early childhood. Because it can help to ensure that children receive stimulation appropriate to their developmental stage.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran yang termuat dalam kurikulum 2013 salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran berbasis masalah atau Problem Based Learning. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis kelas IV MI Riyaadhul Faadhilin Kabupaten Luwu Utara Sulawesi Selatan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IV MI Riyaadhul Faadhilin. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang berdaur ulang atau bersiklus, meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan efektifitas strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru, yang dilaksanakan di MI Riyaadhul Faadhilin kelas IV pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 sebanyak 12 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari 5 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu 1) mereduksi data, 2) penyajian data, dan 3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang telah dianalisis, menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan setiap siklusnya. Hasil tes siklus I menunjukkan persentase 25% dan mengalami peningkatan di siklus II menjadi 92% dari keseluruhan jumlah siswa. Hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mampu membantu siswa memecahkan masalah matematis di kelas IV MI Riyaadhul Faadhilin.

Abstract

This research aims to improve reading comprehension skills through the Whole Language approach for Class V Students of SDN No. 2 Bababulo, Kec. Pamboang, Kab. Majene. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) which consists of two cycles where each cycle is carried out in 3 meetings. This research procedure includes planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SDN No. Elementary School. 2 Bababulo District. Pamboang District Majene, numbering 29 people. The research results showed that only 18 students or 62.07% completed the first cycle individually from 29 students who met the minimum completion criteria (KKM) or were in the low category. Classically it has not been fulfilled because the average value of learning outcomes obtained was 74.14%, whereas in cycle II where out of 29 students there were 25 students or 86.20% had fulfilled the KKM and classically it had been fulfilled, namely the average obtained was 83. 10% or in the high category. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the reading comprehension skills of Class V students at SDN No. 2 Bababulo District. Pamboang District Majene through STAD Type Cooperatives increased.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) obtain an overview of the implementation of cooperative learning type STAD (2) to get a picture of the cooperative skills of SDN 94 Balla Kapubaten Enrekang (3) to get the description of the Effect of cooperative learning type STAD implementation on the ability of cooperation SDN 94 Balla Kapubaten Enrekang students. This type of research is a pre experimental experimental study involving one group of experiments with the design of the one group pretest-postest design. The dependent variable in this study is the ability of student cooperation and the independent variable is the implementation of cooperative learning type STAD. To find out the results of this study, researchers used the instrument of observation sheet and questionnaire a number of 13 statements. Observation sheet used to know the implementation of learning through the implementation of cooperative learning type STAD. Implementation of STAD type cooperative learning in learning IPS class V SD N 94 Balla Enrekang Regency consisting of 7 stages of Preparation of learning, Presentation of the material, group learning activities, examination of group outcomes, Students doing the test questions individually, testing and test results Group awards, as a whole for all three meetings of instructional activity can be said to be very well done. This is indicated by the average score of learning effectiveness of STAD type cooperative learning from the first meeting until the third meeting being in the categpry of very good. At the level of ability of student cooperation SDN 94 Balla Enrekang Regency on pretest and postest found that there is improvement of ability of student cooperation after given treatment in the form of cooperative learning type STAD of SDN 94 Balla Enrekang Regency. The result of test of hopotesis is known that there are difference of level of ability of student cooperation on pretest and posttest which is significant, it is shown from P-Value value so There is positive influence of STAD type cooperative learning in IPS class V SDN 94 Balla Kabupaten Enrekang

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve oral learning activities in elementary school teacher education students at Yogyakarta State University by applying the group investigation model in the mathematical concept course in the early grades. The subjects of the study consisted of 39 students. Data collection was carried out through observation techniques. Data validation used time triangulation and expert judgment techniques. The results of the study showed an increase in oral learning activities after the application of the group investigation model, which was reflected in the increase in three leading indikators, namely the activity of asking questions increased by 12.11%, the activity of answering increased by 6.82%, and the activity of expressing opinions increased by 24.36%. Based on the increase in each aspect of oral learning activities, the application of the group investigation model effectively improves the oral learning activities of elementary school teacher education students at Yogyakarta State University in the mathematical concept course in the early grades.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ cognitive learning outcomes through the implementation of the Reading, Questioning, Answering (RQA) strategy. A Classroom Action Research approach was employed using the Kemmis and Taggart model, comprising two cycles. The research participants were students from the Biology Education Program at the University of Sulawesi Barat, enrolled in the Educational Profession course. Data on students’ cognitive learning outcomes were collected using test instruments in the form of multiple-choice and essay questions related to the course material. The findings revealed that in Cycle 1, the average N-gain score for students' cognitive learning outcomes was categorized as low. After refining the strategy in Cycle 2, the N-gain scores improved to a medium category. Improvements included providing key points as guidance during the Reading phase and utilizing a question framework based on Bloom’s taxonomy during the Questioning phase. The adjusted implementation of the RQA strategy significantly enhanced students’ understanding and learning outcomes compared to conventional teaching methods. This research demonstrates that the RQA strategy is not only effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes but also fosters active student engagement in the learning process. These findings suggest that incorporating activity-based learning strategies such as RQA can serve as an effective alternative to improve the quality of higher education instruction

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya penguasaan konsep bilangan pangkat dan teorema Pythagoras dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen uji yang terdiri dari lima soal deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun siswa berhasil memecahkan masalah dasar, ada penurunan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan mereka pada masalah yang lebih rumit. Kesalahan yang terjadi mencerminkan kurangnya pemahaman dasar matematika dan ketidakmampuan untuk menerapkan rumus. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan pengajaran yang lebih efektif dan penguatan pemahaman konsep dasar untuk memungkinkan siswa menghadapi tantangan matematika di masa depan dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying in elementary schools is an important issue that affects students' psychological and social development. This study aims to identify the forms of bullying in elementary schools and explore the role of character education in reducing bullying behaviour. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation involving six informants, namely three teachers, two students and one parent. The results showed that bullying that occurs in elementary schools is more often in the form of verbal and social bullying, with a significant impact on the victim's self-confidence and academic achievement. Character education that includes the values of empathy, tolerance and mutual respect is implemented in the school curriculum and extracurricular activities as a preventive effort. However, the implementation of character education is still faced with challenges, such as the mismatch between the values taught at school and the application at home. This study suggests that character education should be implemented consistently and involve cooperation between teachers, parents and the community to create a bullying-free environment.
