Abstract

Krisis lingkungan global yang terus meningkat mendorong perlunya perubahan pola konsumsi masyarakat ke arah yang lebih berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemahaman teologi lingkungan terhadap perilaku konsumsi berkelanjutan di masyarakat. Teologi lingkungan memandang manusia sebagai penjaga dan pengelola alam, yang tercermin dalam nilai keseimbangan (mizan) serta larangan melakukan kerusakan (fasad). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan mengumpulkan dan menelaah berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman teologi lingkungan berkontribusi dalam membangun kesadaran ekologis pada aspek kognitif, menumbuhkan empati dan tanggung jawab moral pada aspek afektif, serta mendorong tindakan nyata yang mendukung konsumsi berkelanjutan. Tindakan tersebut meliputi pengurangan konsumsi berlebihan, penggunaan produk ramah lingkungan, pengelolaan limbah yang baik, dan dukungan terhadap produk lokal. Selain itu, pendidikan, literasi lingkungan, kondisi ekonomi, dan dukungan sosial menjadi faktor moderasi yang memengaruhi penerapan nilai-nilai teologis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sintesis literatur ini menegaskan bahwa perpaduan antara pemahaman teologi lingkungan, edukasi, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat mendorong perubahan pola konsumsi yang lebih bertanggung jawab dan peduli terhadap lingkungan. Temuan ini juga menekankan pentingnya strategi berbasis nilai spiritual untuk mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Students’ learning difficulties are often not specifically identified, resulting in guidance and counseling services that do not fully meet their needs. This situation indicates a gap between students’ actual needs and the data used as the basis for service planning. This study aims to analyze the areas of students' learning problems based on the results of the PTSDL Problem Identification Tool (AUM) in class IX-2 at UPT SMP Negeri 11 Medan. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through the distribution of the PTSDL AUM instrument to 23 students. Data were analyzed through scoring and percentage calculations across five aspects: prerequisites for mastering the material, learning skills, learning resources, personal conditions, and the socio-emotional environment. The results of the study indicate that the dominant issue lies in the aspect of learning skills (27.13%), followed by personal conditions (11.75%) and the socio-emotional environment (6.85%), while learning resources (4.2%) and prerequisites for mastering the material were relatively low. These findings indicate that students’ primary difficulties lie in managing the learning process. In conclusion, guidance and counseling services need to focus on developing learning skills and strengthening students’ personal conditions to optimize learning.

Abstract

The implementation of Western Civil Inheritance Law based on the Burgerlijk Wetboek (BW) in Indonesia is often carried out through family deliberation. Although BW normatively regulates inheritance distribution, heirs generally prioritize mutual agreement to maintain family harmony. This study aims to analyze the application of BW inheritance law in the practice of family deliberation in inheritance distribution in Indonesia. The results show that family deliberation is more commonly chosen because it is considered capable of creating a fair and peaceful settlement while preventing disputes among heirs without disregarding applicable legal provisions.

Abstract

This study examines the role of traditional markets as socio-economic spaces in local economic development, focusing on traders’ activities at Pasar Aur Kuning. Drawing on the historical role of markets in shaping Minangkabau nagari life and the urban evolution of Bukittinggi from Pakan Kurai to contemporary market governance, this paper positions Pasar Aur Kuning as a vital continuation of market traditions that sustain the city’s economy. Using a library research approach and sociological analysis of written sources, the study interprets how traders’ practices reflect community participation in local economic development (LED). The discussion shows that open access to trading spaces, distribution patterns from wholesale to retail, job creation, and multiplier effects on surrounding support sectors constitute concrete forms of community participation. Infrastructure support such as road accessibility and the nearby bus terminal strengthens the market’s function as a node for the mobility of goods, people, and social interaction. Sociologically, the market operates not only as a site of economic exchange but also as an arena where social networks, solidarity, and intergroup relations are continuously formed. These findings affirm that traders’ activities at Pasar Aur Kuning represent social practices that directly contribute to a dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable local economy.

Abstract

. Inheritance disputes often trigger family conflicts, particularly when one heir unilaterally sells inherited property without the consent of other heirs. This study aims to analyze the regulation of inheritance law in the Indonesian Civil Code (KUHPerdata) regarding such actions and to examine its function in resolving disputes among heirs. The research uses a normative legal method with a statutory approach. The results indicate that under KUHPerdata, an undistributed estate is considered jointly owned by all heirs and therefore cannot be transferred or sold unilaterally. Such actions may be classified as unlawful acts and have the potential to cause disputes. Thus, inheritance law in KUHPerdata plays an important role in providing legal certainty and serves as a mechanism for resolving conflicts to protect the rights of all heirs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning styles of seventh-grade students and the implications of learning behavior tendencies at SMP Negeri 17 Medan. This research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of four seventh-grade students, namely Intan Dewi, Nazril Badrin Nasution, Aisah Nuraini, and Berlian Akila Zidni Lubis. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students have diverse learning style tendencies and do not only focus on one particular learning style, but rather use a combination of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles in the learning process. These differences in learning styles influence students’ learning behavior, such as the way they understand material, concentration levels, activeness in learning, learning motivation, and social interaction in the classroom. In addition, the learning environment, classroom atmosphere, and teachers’ teaching methods also affect students’ comfort and focus during learning activities. The findings indicate that varied, flexible, and student-centered learning methods can help improve student engagement and learning effectiveness in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of peers in improving students’ learning motivation at SMP Swasta Al Hidayah. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews involving 15 students, consisting of 4 male students and 11 female students. The findings show that peers are not always the main factor that encourages students’ learning motivation. Most students stated that their willingness to study comes more from their own personal intention rather than direct encouragement or invitation from friends. However, peers still have a positive influence in certain situations, especially through examples of learning behavior. When one student starts doing assignments or paying attention to lessons, other students may feel encouraged to do the same. In addition, the role of peers becomes more visible during group work activities. Students cooperate, help each other, and explain learning materials to friends who do not yet understand the lesson, such as in English subjects. Students’ interest in certain subjects, such as Indonesian, Mathematics, English, and Arabic, also influences their enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, peers can be understood as learning supporters, although students’ main motivation is more strongly influenced by their own internal willingness.

Abstract

Environmental pollution in agglomeration areas creates challenges in environmental law enforcement because the source of pollution is often difficult to identify specifically (unidentified polluter). Conventional liability mechanisms that require proof of an individual causal relationship make it difficult for victims to obtain legal protection, even though environmental and public health damages are clearly evident. The Market Shared Liability (MSL) doctrine is considered relevant because it allows liability to be imposed proportionally based on the market share or contribution level of each corporation to the pollution. The implementation of this doctrine is important to overcome evidentiary deadlocks in collective pollution cases within agglomeration areas and to ensure the protection of the public’s right to a good and healthy environment. Therefore, explicit regulation regarding Market Shared Liability in Indonesia’s environmental procedural law is necessary. Pencemaran lingkungan di wilayah aglomerasi menimbulkan kesulitan dalam penegakan hukum karena sumber pencemar sering kali tidak dapat diidentifikasi secara spesifik (unidentified polluter). Mekanisme pertanggungjawaban konvensional yang mensyaratkan pembuktian hubungan kausal secara individual menyebabkan korban kesulitan memperoleh perlindungan hukum, meskipun kerugian lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat nyata terjadi. Doktrin Market Shared Liability (MSL) menjadi relevan diterapkan karena memungkinkan pembebanan tanggung jawab secara proporsional berdasarkan pangsa pasar atau tingkat kontribusi masing-masing korporasi terhadap pencemaran. Penerapan doktrin ini penting untuk mengatasi kebuntuan pembuktian dalam kasus pencemaran kolektif di wilayah aglomerasi serta menjamin perlindungan hak masyarakat atas lingkungan hidup yang baik dan sehat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengaturan eksplisit mengenai Market Shared Liability dalam hukum acara lingkungan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the song Angel by Libera through a semantic perspective. The main aim of this research is to identify and explain the denotative and connotative meanings found in the lyrics. Semantics is used as the main theory to understand how meaning is formed in language, especially in song lyrics. The data used in this study come from the lyrics of the song Angel. The analysis shows that the lyrics contain both literal meanings (denotative) and implied meanings (connotative). The denotative meanings refer to words like angel, light, voice, and wings in their direct sense, while the connotative meanings reflect deeper ideas such as protection, hope, spiritual guidance, peace, and emotional comfort. The findings indicate that the song does not only communicate simple messages through words, but also conveys emotional and spiritual meanings that can be interpreted in different ways by listeners. Therefore, semantic analysis helps uncover the hidden meanings behind the lyrics and shows how language is used to express human feelings and spiritual values.

Abstract

Abstract. The background of this study focuses on the low level of students’ learning concentration caused by academic pressure, environmental distractions, and individual factors. The main problem addressed in this research is the students’ weak ability to maintain attention during the learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of applying the Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique on improving students’ learning concentration, with the expectation of contributing to the development of effective learning strategies that enhance focus and academic achievement. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental design, specifically the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 32 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a learning concentration questionnaire and analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test to test the established hypothesis. The validity and reliability of the instrument were examined using the Product Moment correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha formula. The results of statistical analysis showed an increase in students’ learning concentration after the implementation of the Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique, as indicated by the average posttest score of 54.00, which was higher than the pretest score of 50.47. The two-tailed hypothesis test revealed that the tcount value (-4.47) was within the hypothesis acceptance region (tcount -4.47 > ttable 2.04) with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique is effective in improving students’ learning concentration, indicating that the hypothesis (Hα) is accepted. This study provides a practical contribution to the development of teaching methods that emphasize the balance between physical relaxation and mental readiness to support academic success. Latar belakang penelitian ini berfokus pada rendahnya konsentrasi belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh tekanan akademik, gangguan lingkungan, dan faktor individu. Masalah utama yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah lemahnya kemampuan siswa untuk mempertahankan perhatian selama proses belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan teknik Relaksasi Otot Progresif terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa, dengan harapan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan strategi belajar efektif yang meningkatkan fokus dan prestasi akademik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pra-Eksperimental, khususnya Desain Pretest-Posttest Satu Kelompok. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 siswa yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner konsentrasi belajar dan dianalisis menggunakan Uji t Sampel Berpasangan untuk menguji hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan. Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen diperiksa menggunakan korelasi Product Moment dan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan teknik Relaksasi Otot Progresif, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 54,00, yang lebih tinggi dari nilai pretest sebesar 50,47. Uji hipotesis dua arah mengungkapkan bahwa nilai t hitung (-4,47) berada dalam wilayah penerimaan hipotesis (t hitung -4,47 > t tabel 2,04) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik Relaksasi Otot Progresif efektif dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa, yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis (Hα) diterima. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi praktis terhadap pengembangan metode pengajaran yang menekankan keseimbangan antara relaksasi fisik dan kesiapan mental untuk mendukung keberhasilan akademik.
